  1. You are a bad mod, a bad poster, or both. Super inconsistent and not clear when you are posting in which role. Do you have any actual rules or positions? How off-topic is too off-topic? When should users crowd source and why? This is where you step in but other posters call people dykes and no big deal?
  2. Here's an opportunity for growth. I know you get excited when you see that word so let me clarify, personal growth. Shit, I mean mental growth. Fuck it, I mean not an NBA meme. Who is the 2nd best Nugget? This is a simple question. A more complex question is: how does this compare to literally every other NBA team's second best player? I'm not even talking playoff team, I mean every team.
  3. I have two kids. A couple of years ago, when they were 7 and 9, we were watching a movie, I forget which, and one of the female characters was pregnant. Now we have straight friends, we have gay friends, my kids knew of trans people but we hadn't really talked about it at the time, but I realized just how much of a bubble they were in when one asked confusedly "How can she be pregnant if she's not married?". Their knowledge of sexuality went so far as to know that some people have two mommies / daddies and some people have one mommy and one daddy. But clearly this had nothing to do whatsoever with knowledge / explanation of sex. It really isn't a big thing like some people make it out to be. @fattyflattie - I really don't mean this at all a harsh way but I think you're doing your kids a disservice if you think this will confuse them all that much. It's adults and teens who start getting baggage about sex, not kids.
  4. @Beau Vine is spot on. You're such an incredibly fragile little pussy.
  5. Like you lie about prominent Democratic Party leaders being avowed socialists, you are lying that people are fighting for kindergarteners to be taught that gender is guess at birth. Outcome is not a cause, or do you agree with every outcome of every bill that you've ever supported?
  6. The lie you keep making is that condemnation of the bill = support for those specific teachers. I personally think at least in some cases they go too far. Importantly, I don't think they go too far because they are trying to groom children, but because they are young and still learning the best way to communicate while forming their own beliefs. Attributing malice to these teachers is despicable. In addition to that, the bill itself does nothing but create a more hostile environment for teachers. I think the bill is awful not because I want those specific teachers saying those specific things, but because it simply leads to additional harassment.
  7. The Democratic Socialists of America are not socialists, though, just like The People Republic of China is not a republics state. I would agree with you that the people you mentioned are party heavyweights and/or thought leaders. However they do not want to seize the means of production. If you look at the website they do want collective healthcare and collectively-owned utilities and transportation. We are already largely have collectively-owned transportation. Ports and airports are publicly owned. The large majority of roads are publicly owned. Busses, subways, etc. Utilities are more evenly distributed between private and public but again this is not a giant shift towards true socialism. You explicitly claimed that "You have admitted and proud socialists who are party heavyweights.". If your evidence of being an admitted and proud socialist is membership in the DSA, you are being disingenuous at best.
  8. @Johnny Sack - you have said multiple times there are socialists in the Democratic party leadership. Can you list just one or two of these leaders and/or explain what you mean by socialism? For example AOC (who I suspect is one of the people you are thinking of) believes in Medicare for all, which can certainly be described as socialist healthcare, but she doesn't advocate for communally / governmentally owned means of production.
  9. In fact, you might even say we just ate Uter Girkin, and he's in our stomachs... right now!
  10. No kidding, this is a legendary bad take. Vic, who do you think the 2nd best Nugget is. Hell, how many Nuggets can you even name without looking them up? This cast shouldn't have even made the playoffs.
  11. Dude, @Immaculate Vibes probably still claims to not know who Marjorie Taylor Greene is. You think there's going to be any self-evaluation of a hero like Tucker?
  12. I'd say the Astros tanking was well worth it with 3 trips to the World Series in 5 years. If the Rockets tanking leads to playing in the finals 3 out of 5 years I'll take that every damn day. Now the Texans? The just suck on an almost Oklahoma-type level.
  13. @Macklemore (errr, I mean Iconclast) must be so conflicted. Not the part about the gay stuff, just the absence of meth.
  14. How many people think of cows before pigs when it comes to Iowa ag contributions? Maybe I have a different perspective because I lived in Iowa for many years but pork was much more common a topic of conversation than beef. Just a little ribbing at @Parliament for mentioning cows.
  15. Ah yes - the famous Iowa Beef Industry.
  16. Yup. Any political body that forcibly separates children from their families with no traceability and therefore no path to reunification is pretty fucking evil.
  17. Before you throw too many rocks remember that it was just a month or so ago when you thought the Pacers were the worst-run team in the league. I get it, it's easy to forget about the Kings because they're, well, the Kings. That includes details like the fact that they've had 11 coaches in the last 16 years.
  18. I totally get that you are only speaking for yourself but I think most would take the trade. Hell, for as bad as Texas has been in the last 15 years, think of how much shittier it would be without VY holding the crystal football.
