  1. If you consider cops who actively pull bad shit, I would agree that not every cop is a bad cop. If you broaden this to cops who don't do anything to stop/curb this behavior, re-hire bad cops, back-the-blue over all else, etc., I don't know how you can draw any conclusion other than the large majority of cops are bad cops. How many times do bad cops actually receive any consequences of note?
  2. I missed this earlier but this is so fucking on-brand for @fattyflattie telling a female redhead what female redheads have to deal with.
  3. Oh come on people, will you please stop spamming this thread with Gowron and the Sword of Kahless? While we all know that Dahar Master Kor wanted to retrieve the Sword of Kahless to give to Gowron, he and Worf agreed that it was to powerful a symbol to go to any one Klingon. Gowron never had the sword! Geez, it's like I'm playing 3-D chess with my brother's kids.
  4. Damnit @Nicole44, we all love the box talk and crushing on Zelensky but this is the last straw. Everyone knows you don't quote catalog prices - you gotta call for the real price, especially after applying Best Buy coupons.
  5. This is great and I'm looking forward to finishing in first place as long as nobody copies my super strategy of picking Abilene Christian University. I haven't followed college basketball this year so I am just assuming they continue to be a rising college powerhouse team.
  6. LOL, this from the poster who just bitched to @hayden_horn about the potential to move this to CR. Super simplistic and basic ideology that has nothing to do with this thread. What the fuck have "the guys on the right" made work in the last 10 years and what the fuck does this have to do with Ukraine or Russia?
  7. Jesus Christ, if that's all it took I personally would have invaded Ukraine 10 years ago if it meant I didn't have use any Oracle products again.
  8. Got dammit Sooner you done been wooshed. The hint was the unfamiliar equipment that he loaned his non-Latin-keyboard-using friend.
  9. Not to worry, @Longhornlove is tanned, rested, and ready.
  10. Wouldn't that just be their GDP or are the Ruskies even trickier than I thought, hiding a New Moskow or something?
  11. Because I am being charitable. The alternative is you are too incredibly thick to understand what people are criticizing.
  12. I am sure this is just a bit for you but I would guess that nearly everyone posting in this thread agrees with you regarding your critique. For some reason, however, you and @jimmyjazz have trouble seeing that jokes or critiques using racial slurs are not worthy of aplomb.
  13. I'm not sure why anyone is surprised by @Johnny Sack's thoughts in this matter. I mean he's on record as saying "I honestly have never seen a black person working", "I couldn’t vote for someone who uses a black accent", and "I got a black male sentenced to federal life without parole". Some words may have been omitted in the previous quotes but given his practice in the matter, I'm sure he won't mind.
  14. I am leaving my current employer in a couple of weeks, on Friday March 4. I am starting with new employer on Monday March 7. I currently have full medical/dental/vision etc. through my employer. As part of my out-boarding process I am trying to understand the health insurance coverage I will or won't have for the weekend in between. I did receive benefits information to look at as part of the out-boarding process but want to make sure I understand. It stays that my coverage does end on my last day. Then, within the next 14 days I will receive information on COBRA and can opt-in at that point. I think this means that, while technically I won't have coverage for that weekend, if someone in my family needs to go in to the ER or has other sudden and unplanned medical expense, I can then opt-in to COBRA and get retroactive coverage. I don't need to proactively do anything and won't have to pay for COBRA unless that unplanned expense occurs, then I will just be covered like normal by new employee on the 7th. While I get that every situation is different, does this seem consistent with general understand to anyone who has experience in this issue?
  15. That's great and all but what about people whose insides are a rocky place, where seed can find no purchase?
  16. Ah yes, that's the dark side to capitalism. It's not the exploitation of resources and environment caused by complete lack of accounting for negative externalities - it's the bitterness the comes with seeing other succeed. Note to self - send revision request to Marx.
  17. The problem is he's heard news about student loans on the radio since then, so good luck on any educational efforts.
  18. I don't think it takes much imagination. Just pick on these two:
  19. There are some politicians (read: most politicians) that would cause me absolutely zero surprise at such a bad look. This surprises me. Come on Stacy.
  20. Very much agreed. The game is a ton of fun in so many ways, the shrines are cool, the dungeons are great (if limited in number), the exploration is great, etc. But I hated the weapon health so much - it changes the game from having fun to worrying about how many times I can use my weapon. This would be somewhat ok if combat wasn't a core part of the game but it's not like this is an RPG that let's you negotiate with enemies. I recognize that I am in the minority but this really sapped my overall enjoyment of BotW.
  21. And I strongly suspect that you realize this but it's also important to acknowledge that this is perception of ethical behavior, not any measure of actual ethical behavior. Either way I do believe that doctors will have thought more about bioethics so I agree with @Anastasis's thought, but I'm not sure this is a good way to demonstrate that.
  22. Fuck off with this "experimental at best" bullshit. I am sorry for your loss but your sample size of 4 doesn't contradict every medical study indicating that the vaccine is effective at reducing the risk of serious health impact, including death.
  23. Clergy, judges, journalists at least. I would at least consider lawyers as well. There are obviously bad actors in any of these professions, and while there is some systematic cover-up in terms of Catholic church etc., I still think they do not uniformly consider those outside their profession as sub-human.
