  2. Heard this story on KUT a couple of weeks ago. The Gaydos guy was part of the "Birds Aren't Real" fake conspiracy, so yes, this is all likely a bit. https://www.houstonpublicmedia.org/articles/news/houston/2024/12/02/507593/enron-back-houston-company-relaunches-bankruptcy-anniversary/ Even with this information, you'll still have people like Prong Horn either falling for it or not giving a whit he's posting fake shit. His only goal in posting stuff like this is to feed the phony outrage machine. And, of course, his only defense for doing so is to feign ignorance by saying, "It's all on video, and besides, it's all over my feed," because it's not his fault every account he follows and reposts has the aim of making the West eat itself.
  3. Yes, that's precisely the situation. The downtrodden are, by definition, beneath the boot, and rightly so in Trump World, while the high and mighty must be uplifted as is befitting their elevated station.
  4. Having gone to high school in West Texas during the 1980s (and therefore hits close to home), that sounds exactly like what happened to a significant share of my graduating class. I started freshman year with about 325-350 students in my cohort, but roughly only 225 graduated on time. I'd guess about a third of the missing 100 were teenage girls who got knocked up and were (likely) forced to drop out by their parents. Today, a few of them are grandmas, and it's not inconceivable a couple might even be 53-year-old great-grandmothers by now.
  5. Go re-read Prong Horn's posts on the first couple of pages. He's definitely hinting at it. And that's the thing when you're questioning folk's responses to the conspiratorial notions floated in this thread and elsewhere. The dude is either a hateful and certified loon who posts during his night shift at 7-11 or a Russian propagandist operating during Moscow's normal business operating hours. Recent history suggests being very wary of misinformation that spreads like wildfire across the media spectrum because pricks like him get off on spouting lies in the online world to watch America eat itself. Albino Christmas Jack-o'-Lantern? Jack Skellington?
  6. I believe that was Aimee Lou Wood from Sex Education. And, if you're wondering/interested, she shows the goods in that.
  7. It's a British thing I first noticed a little while back in their films/shows. They don't call it "on the ground." I'm not sure what the rest of the Commonwealth says, but it's clearly not what we say in these United States of America. It's kinda like the English quirk of saying "in hospital" without the definite article. No accounting for what gets lost over the Pond.
  8. Look at these fucking FAFO schmucks: Abundant Life Christian School officials asked for prayers on Facebook. “Prayers Requested! Today, we had an active shooter incident at ALCS. We are in the midst of following up. We will share information as we are able. Please pray for our Challenger Family.” Not to beat a dead horse, but this is what they wanted. This is the inevitable desired outcome of the policies they voted for. If anything, they should be offering thanks that their gun-totin' prayers were answered. Praise the lord and pass the ammo. It's a day to rejoice.
  9. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think drug commercials were a thing until the 1990s. At least, I don't think drugs that required a prescription were allowed to be advertised until then. Who fucking decided it was a good idea and pushed it on us? I want someone to blame.
  10. That matches more my expectations. I typically go up there for Thanksgiving, and even then, it's usually much cooler (highs in upper 40s) than this Xmas forecast. Hell, it even snowed once about a decade ago for the T-Day feast and at least a couple of times when it didn't get above freezing.
  11. I'll be in Denver next week. Not sure what's normal, but the forecast seems really mild for this time of year.
  12. Bruesewitz, the CEO of X Strategies, has been a key figure in reshaping Trump's outreach strategy, particularly among younger voters. According to Daily Mail, he joined Trump's 2024 campaign in the summer, earning credit for modernising the former president's image and enhancing his appeal with a younger demographic. Trump himself praised Bruesewitz in a pre-recorded speech played at the gala, recognising his contributions to the campaign. The gala, an annual event held by the New York Young Republican Club, featured notable conservative figures and included a 20-minute speech from Steve Bannon, who criticised the "Biden regime." The event also served as a platform to celebrate the campaign's success, underscoring Bruesewitz's pivotal role in Trump's resurgence among young voters. Bruesewitz has been instrumental in introducing Trump to unconventional media platforms and personalities. His efforts included connecting Trump with influencers, podcasters, and entertainers such as Logan Paul, Andrew Schulz, and Theo Von. According to reports, these collaborations helped Trump engage with a new audience previously disengaged from traditional political channels. Bruesewitz's approach extended beyond media appearances. He worked closely with Barron Trump to identify potential media opportunities and curated a list of influencers and content creators with significant youth appeal. This strategic shift has been credited with reinvigorating Trump's online presence and broadening his base. https://www.ibtimes.co.uk/who-alex-bruesewitz-meet-trump-adviser-who-looked-cool-fainting-republican-gala-1729573
  13. Okay. Give us a plan of action. In the inimitable words of the great and wise Dwayne "Stork" Storkman:
  14. That's been my attitude since the election. All Schadenfreude, all of the time. These people were warned, and they chose to: Not pay attention, Not listen, Ignore the obvious, Believe they'd be unaffected, Buy into the bullshit and/or Hate people who are different than them. Fuck 'em. Fuck us. It's a well-deserved face-eating leopard feast for everyone because we deserve it. Point, laugh, do whatever you can to cope, and keep your sanity. Or, you know what, it's also entirely appropriate to lose your marbles. That works too.
  15. Haha, Eurohorn follows and regurgitates the twisted and misogynistic ramblings of a cop fired from the fucking Harker Heights PD. Your mother must be so proud she raised you to grow to become such a weak-minded worm.

  20. Don't complain about what happens when you willingly choose to move to a South Pacific island that'll soon sink beneath the waves. Don't be delusional. The idea that you can escape America and its problems is an escapist fantasy. You can't just go into hiding, absolve yourself of any association, and haughtily believe what's happening in the US (and Texas) isn't going to continue to affect you or where you've moved to. For one, America's too big and powerful. If it sloshes the bathwater, little toys can and will go under. For another, what's happening here is part of something bigger: a toxic tide threatening to drown liberal democracies everywhere. We don't know how it'll eventually wash out for anyone. ***** By the way, I've met @Longhorn_Fan68, and he's a good guy. He's not some empty corporate suit (or lawyer) without a soul, looking to fuck over everyone like you might be thinking.

  23. Yeah, it's important to bear in mind these are confirmed sightings. During the pandemic, there were several sightings of one in the neighborhood where I live on the outskirts of my West Texas town. It even made the TV news over in Midland and I vaguely recall a shitty cellphone pic popping up on Facebook of it trotting down the main arterial serving the neighborhood. Anyway, my county isn't shaded above, so I have no idea what parameters TP&W uses for official confirmation.
