  1. Yeah. Most people I know (that arent UT fans) regard Texas as a top 5 team this year that played their playoff games during the season and came up short. I tend to agree with that analysis.
  2. Should we go back to the Herman or Strong days when we wouldve gotten our faces kicked in by OU/Aggy and wins over them wouldve been considered a minor miracle? No thanks. This team is gonna fuck next year.
  3. You sound like a bitch. Oh, and username checks out.
  4. To be fair, your prediction a 3 loss Texas would make the playoffs wasnt a bad one. It took a lot of games breaking against us to prevent us from getting in. In a year with a normal amount of chaos, Texas makes the CFP.
  5. While I agree that he showed up big against OU and Aggy and undoubtedly had a lot of heart and grit (I hate seeing him leave to). We also have to face some realities... He didnt show up in every game for us, just some of them. And you cant deny that he is an RB2 that was demanding high level RB1 money. He made a bad decision here. He isnt going to make it in the league for very long and he just gave up the alumni/universtiy connections that couldve landed him a nice job long term just so that he can chase a single year payday. His move was shortsighted and yes, he is replaceable. If Wisner is our premier back we arent winning the national title. And next year, we are all in on winning the championship.
  6. Lol chill man. RB was our top target coming into the offseason and still is. Us not ponying up 1 million for Wisner shows our confidence in finding an RB1 in the portal.
  7. So you deny that Miami made an offer to Simmons? Because I have heard that from two different people now who are very close to UT athletics.
  8. I may be late on this but I heard that Simmons was offered an obscene amount of money from Miami to leave Texas and he's gonna stay but we had to pay a lot more for him as a result. We need a cap or some more controls on tampering and longer term commitments.
  9. I tend to agree with this... being a longhorn legend that killed the aggies and sooners would've been worth more to him through our alumni/donor networking opportunities long term than whatever 1 year pay day he might get from another school before he goes pro.
  10. I don't know what the going rate is for RBs and I don't know how deep our pockets are. Must be way off the mark though because I'm sure the big money guys wanted to give him some love for the way he performed against our rivals. Sad
  11. Damn. That's some shitty news. I liked his heart and his grit. Not the best back we have ever had but he did show up big when we needed him against our rivals... we are now paper thin in the RB room. Hopefully we have some big targets that we are confident in getting.
  12. Spurs have pretty much ended any speculation that the OKC were gonna break the win record. LOL ouch
  13. Looks like OKC has a Spurs problem. Interesting. Would love to deny them another title this year.
  14. So with Lefau leaving because of "coaching differences", is that going to change with the Muschamp hire? Or was it more about him wanting more money than we were willing to give?
  15. TLDR: Overdosed on cocaine the night before. Was in a hospital unconscious all morning so I missed the game. Woke up to Reed throwing an interception in the end zone, went back into a coma.
  16. Lol, Miami is gonna lose to OSU by 17
  17. Let's be real. Football is the only thing that actually matters. Then baseball and basketball kind of matter. Maybe a baseball and basketball sweep could help make up for a football loss.
  18. And it's our job... no... it's our duty to laugh in the face of any aggy who tries. LOL
  19. Why? We beat them in football, the sport that actually matters for talking shit. I have only encountered two teams that talk shit about women's sports... Nebraska fans for volleyball and OU fans for softball and I just laugh at them both when they do.
  20. Better than Nebraska winning? I guess so. Bleh
  21. Kinda glad we lost to Wisconsin, dont think we couldve beaten aggy in their current form.
  22. Yeah, I re-read it lol, but Macklemore pissed me off so it was more for him.
