You beat a completely different team. I really don't understand why you keep harping on that.
He knows their scoreboard gloating ends on Jan 1st, 2024, so he is squeezing all of the mileage he can out of it.

How about we beat y’all last year and beat everyone since. Longest win streak in the country. It’s a stronger argument than talking about the point differential in the TT games between you and Oregon.
Last year's Texas would get boatraced by this year's Texas. You have no idea what is coming for y'all. Your cute little one score wins over subpar PAC teams wont mean shit when we punch you in the mouth and the 80% pro Texas Sugar bowl crowd is going wild and your Penix shrivels ups.

I don’t think it was that flagrant and ref calls and no calls are kind of part of the game in college football, especially PAC 12. We got fucked on plenty of bad calls this year but overcame because that is what mature teams who know how to win do. I am sure you guys both benefited and got hurt from questionable calls as well.
It isnt about any of that man. All I was saying is that it took a miracle to beat a shitty 1-5 ASU team. If you dont bring your A++ game against Texas, you will be staring down the barrel of a blowout.

The "we beat y'all last year" shit is hilarious.
Oklahoma State and Tech beat us last year. How'd that work out for them?
Dont forget Bama

Did we win? Also I don’t really agree with a ref bailout. Also ASU cursed us 30 years ago somehow and we always play like shit against them. So fucking frustrating but we won.
lol he was ripping his jersey

Correct; also don’t let your star QB get his foot partially ripped off his leg in your late season cupcake non conference game
FSU wouldve been out whether Travis was healthy or not.

Damn, yall really got held to 0 offensive TDs versus ASU and needed a ref bailout? lol

I usually buy close loss arguments as examples of parity but do you guys really think TCU or Houston is anywhere near your caliber just because they played you close? I sure as shit don’t think ASU or WSU is close to us. College Football is fucking wacky
We played with an injured or backup QB against TCU and Houston. The stretch of games from Houston to TCU were with our starter very obviously injured or our subpar backup QB.

Oregon would be a playoff but for us. That isn’t debatable. If you beat Alabama twice they wouldn’t be in the playoffs either. On top of Oregon, we beat Oregon State and Arizona who are both still ranked. Also beat Utah and USC when they were ranked.
Are you really arguing that a big 12 is better than pac 12 this year?
Yeah I am saying that also. The big 12 was better than the PAC. Definite losses for Washington on our schedule: @Bama. Probable losses: KSU, OU, @Iowa State

We won every one of those games. Did Texas win every game this year?
Did you all play a hard schedule or a 2 game schedule (Oregon cough cough)? Do you have a win over another playoff team? Texas wouldve gone undefeated on your schedule. Washington would be lucky to have only two losses with ours.

The portal window leaves him no choice. His choice was basically 1) stay for the playoffs and waste another year on the bench at Texas, or 2) leave his team before the playoffs so he has an opportunity to start and play next year
You can’t fault him for making the decision that is best for him. I fault the NCAA for forcing that choice upon him.
This. It isnt his fault. He knows Arch is better than him and he knows this is his best chance to secure a starting spot. He had no option.

Try again Copernicus. The situation/timing forced his hand, and he is handling it with class. I’m sure MM and Sark had a discussion and worked toward this resolution together.
Yours is simply another contrarian take that ignores all situational context and seeks to identify MM as a bad guy or “not a team player”.
additionally, I’d wager this is the best result for both MM and Texas. It helps settle the QB room discussion for next year, and places Arch as QB2 for the CFP. I hope we don’t need arch, but I would prefer to have him as QB2 after seeing the full season play out.
That was already settled. But I know what you mean. You dont have to play politics now and split their snaps. Arch can get 100% of the QB2 snaps. (Or QB1 if Ewers decides to go pro)

Yeah, Georgia wants him... maybe they need him to hold the starter's jockstrap lol. Rice, Syracuse, and UCLA are believable at least.

Disappointed we don’t have a bye later in November.
especially considering we don’t have a real cupcake in nov. That was one of the things I was looking forward to in the sec. Bye week and a cupcake to move up while everyone else in the other conferences lose and move down
One home game between sept 29 and nov 8. Not super unusual but still crazy long stretch
Kentucky at home is as close to a cupcake as you can get lol

Texas vs Washington Sugar Bowl Preview | Joel Klatt Previews the College Football Playoff Semifinal
I do not agree with his analysis. Everyone is focusing in on the Texas defense but not Washington's lack of a defense against our offense.
I think this comes down to Texas not turtling after they take a 2 score lead. Washington can put up points in a hurry and if we do the turtle shit that we have been known for, that can be a dangerous combo.

The day is plenty of time to dump tickets
Day of will be people looking for a deal. If Texas isnt in the championship game, you are gonna have schools where the fans will have mostly bought their tickets in advance due to needing to buy plane tickets and hotels in advance. You will miss a golden window to sell those tickets at a high price if you are stuck selling in the inside 48 hours window.

We are definitely looking at the futures market. If you wait until after the Sugar Bowl and Texas is going to NRG, secondary tickets will sky rocket beyond the current secondary market.
So, I think we are either buying secondary now or doing the futures. The math now is if we think we can recover enough to lose less than what the futures cost. Trying to think through that.
Also, if you guys are saying that you’re getting tickets like 2 days before the game, I’m not sure if we can get the tickets and turn them on the secondary market in time. This is my biggest concern that I am weighing. I could be forced to take a major bath if I cant list until 48 hours before the game.

For the Championship game? You don’t think that tickets will be well in excess of $1,300?
I think you might be the first person I’ve seen make that call.
ETA, to me it seems like the best “insurance” protection against massive price spike is just to buy the tickets now, and then resell if we don’t advance. I tend to think that taking an $850 loss on each seat seems highly unlikely.I'm pretty sure if Texas loses you forfeit the 850. You don't still get a ticket

I went to their website and looked for this option. School me on this please. How do you purchase a future?
It isnt seeming like a great deal. I checked it out yesterday and you are placing a non-refundable down payment to get a guaranteed chance to purchase the tickets at face value. The seats I saw that were available were all nosebleeds or behind the endzone. The Longhorns had an 850 dollar reservation fee yesterday. I doubt that a comparable seat would be that much more expensive than 850 + face but I could be wrong. I am not big on risking 850 dollars for a small savings.

Top one was a limited run. I ordered it through the co-op on the 4th, and the next morning when checking my order it was no longer available.
It was labeled as “Tee 2023 Bound Media Night Team Issue”, if that helps.
So am I shit outta luck? Why the hell would they do a limited run of a shirt that is actually gonna sell well? lol stupid
Looks like there arent that many left
