    2025 NFL Draft

As I posted before, probably discount Nate's QB opinions. I like the rest of his draft stuff though 9) Kelvin Banks Jr 48) Cam Williams 49) Isaiah Bond
  2. It's predictable, but i also think it helps them spring big plays in the passing game through play-action, and it makes defenses predictable Everyone bitches about this pattern, but when they change it up, frequently you're looking at a three and out because the OL fucks it up
  3. Also, I think the Slowik criticism is typically overdone, but today was bad. You run on this Jets team, and the play-action bombs will come. You don't give their pass rush a chance to tee off on you. Also, that trick play in the redzone was fucking trash.
  4. First of all, tough spot in a Thursday night road game against a team that has its back against the wall, on the worst field in the league, with arguably their best player out for another week. The Jets were favored for a reason. Second.. left guard has to be addressed. Trade for a league average guy for a 4th rounder if that's what it takes Third.. the 4th down penalty was chickenshit. DBs touching the guy they're covering to know where he's running so he can keep eyes on the QB is taught and allowed at every level. That was a bail out call that changed the game Fourth.. Garrett Wilson made two absurd catches that changed the game Annoying loss, but this was a "schedule loss" imo, especially with Nico still out. Luckily, Houston winning last week gives them some buffer for a loss like this
  5. I don't think an big time/expensive WR is in the cards. If it happens, I think it'll be more of a current WR3 type who's good enough to start over Woods/Metchie/Hutchinson An offensive guard seems more likely
  6. Also need to see Red Rooms
  7. Really enjoyed Late Night With the Devil. Adding that and In a Violent Nature to recent horror rec lists Still need to see The Substance, Terrifier 3, Cuckoo, and Strange Darling
  8. Short week to MetLife. Biggest concern is avoiding and limiting injuries in that god forsaken stadium
  9. It was. Missed call. But they called on them later on I'd treat this as four down territory unless it's 4th and long. Being up by 6 isn't much better than being up 3 in this scenario
  10. In a Violent Nature is really damn good, although it had a weird ending for a slasher like that
  11. Overlord- wolfenstein, but a movie
  12. Trap- I thought the first part of the movie was kind of bad, but the rest was good, so I kind of wonder if it was on purpose. Seemed like the movie was a vehicle to showcase M Night's daughter The Queen of Black Magic- solid foreign horror movie. Doesn't necessarily need to be on your must-watch list, but you also won't be pissed that you watched it
  13. He’s super athletic, so he’s good on see and run plays and blitzes, but he’s terrible at the other normal LB things
  14. They're #5 this year at third down conversion rate, and #3 over the past three games (Ball State, Kentucky, Bama) They try and stay ahead of the chains and let Pavia work magic on third and manageables As has been mentioned in this thread, they try to milk clock, with the 132nd slowed offensive tempo Defensively, beat the guy in front of you and understand your assigments on every play, and eventually a negative play on defense should do them in Their defense sucks, and they have three starters on that side of the ball listed as questionable. This will be about not stubbing your toe on offense and finishing drives
  15. Nico and Lassiter trending well
  16. Color out of Space (2019) was fine. Not bad, not very remarkable.
  17. Adding "In a Violent Nature" to the watchlist
  18. Imo, Slowik's play-calling is a red herring. The issue is the OL. He has to call run plays more often than football twitter wants because the OL can't pass block, and he needs to set up play-action for the passing game to have a chance. It's back to where we were last year when the OL was torn to shreds via injury. I will say that the defense stepping up like that was extremely promising for what we should see going forward
  19. Considering how many players were out, it's surprising the defense played that well
  20. A big play was Stingley giving up the first down pass on that last drive. Romo said he slipped. Nate Tice talked about Green Bay having a tricky turf, and the importance of getting players to wear the right cleats; he says some players don't like to wear the proper cleats there because they don't look as cool
  21. I hate giving the kicker a practice kick
  22. Not a good season for him. It seems the shooting set him back
