  1. Not sure I love this clock management
  2. Mixon is a noticeable improvement on Singletary
  3. The Texans weakness this year should be against great running teams, which Indy is due to the combo of their strong OL, RB, and running QB. If Houston can hold up against that today, it'll be a good sign

    Tell me about ou

I saw LB Kip Lewis leave the game with an injury at some point too
  5. Pleasantly shocked they didn't give a roughing penalty there
  6. The safety seemingly didn't think Richardson could make throw while going backwards and a defender in his face. Terrible play
  7. Would have been nice to have gotten a replay on either one, fucking CBS
  8. Two iffy spots on third downs, and also Stroud slipping on the Indy logo in the middle of the field on back to back plays
  9. NFL greed is hurting the play on the field. Water is wet.
  10. I keep seeing this stat.. nine yards rushing includes a 30 yard subtraction from three sacks. Their true ball carriers had 39 yards on 19 carriers for 2.05 yards per carry, which while terrible for that rushing attack, is abundantly better than 0.4 yards per carry
  11. Luckily, Nansen has seen a lot of Stanford in his college career
  12. He posts a ton, so I'd rather not go through and copy all of his posts Here's one "Last night, Michigan ran 17 zone scheme run plays to 15 gap scheme run plays. If you look at last year, they did the same thing week 1 against ECU. In that game they were 19 zone and 11 gap. In every other game that season, they were more gap than zone except Iowa,. In fact, they finished the year with 301 gap scheme runs to 187 zone. We didn't get a ton of vertical movement from my 1st watch recollection on zone runs. I'll be interested to see if we start to migrate to more gap (pin & pull, counter, duo, power)." He also thinks the touchdown they gave up was because Wink did a cover zero blitz like he was in the NFL and Fresno was ready for it
  13. If you're on On3, there's a good poster on their Michigan site who knows his stuff (MrSharkFB) if you're desperate for moar Michigan takes
  14. You treat him like he's prime Gronk and try to knock the shit out of him on early downs when he's in-line (with a DB having eyes on him flat footed before committing to the run), get into his body on early downs when he's flexed out (again with a DB with eyes on him) and attempt to disrupt his timing, and bracket him on obvious passing plays, and mix in some other stuff throughout the game to make it tougher for them to adjust to Over-allocate towards him while staying honest to the run, and under-allocate to their WRs
  15. @blacklab are you able to move this to the football board since the OP hasn't yet?
  16. For a guy who's currently projected to go in the top five, Graham doesn't seem like an especially freaky athlete. He's more of a technique, strength, motor, and nastiness guy than the elite Bama/Georgia IDL types we've seen
  17. The also lost Junior Colston and Kris Jenkins Colston and Sainristil were dudes
  18. With the caveat that it's based only on the Fresno State game (they could be holding stuff back, weren't fully engaged, yada yada), Michigan doesn't just have a QB problem Their WRs might be below average Big XII level. Their small fast guy isn't particular explosive for that archetype. Their "X" looks like a Garrett Gray. Their 3rd WR when in 11 is just fine, but they prefer to stay in 12 Their FB/HB isn't as good as I'd expected. We've seen better on an annual basis at KSU Michigan has had arguably the best OL in the country for each of the last three years. This OL is much closer to average P4 Their TE could be playing for an NFL team this Sunday. They're supposed to have a good second TE (#17) but I haven't seen him. Maybe he was held back?
  19. Actually changing up coverages more than a handful of times a game like we saw against CSU should make you feel better about this
  20. Different looks in a creative run game
  21. Kamari Lassiter is +6600 to win defensive rookie of the year. Just saying
  22. Line was sitting at -6.5 across the board, and it's now -7 or -7.5
  23. I think Johnson is like Stingley Jr in that you can get him from time to time, but he's a ballhawk who's a threat for a pick any time you target him
