  1. Houston's 30 visits (Cooper and McCaffrey count as local visits, but they visited outside of the local day)
  2. This article on Houston's local visits is a bit of a blast from the past from following recruiting
  3. It's a converting on 3rd down to keep drives alive move. He's not the best X or Z on the team because Houston just flat out has dudes at those spots (Collins and Dell), but Diggs moving around in the slot on third down as the primary target with Stroud throwing to him and the other two WRs occupying the best DBs/most zone attention is going to be a problem for defenses. The offensive line getting healthy and the RB position improving means the play-action game on 1st and 2nd should be improved, which should mean more explosives. The offensive line getting healthy and the Diggs addition means the 3rd down conversions should improved, which should keep more drives alive and give more opportunity for explosives. This is before you get to Stroud potentially improving. Houston finished 14th in offensive DVOA last year, and I think there's a clear path to breaking into the top five, which means winning a lot of games on offense alone

  5. An early second rounder for one year isn’t great. You better win big
  6. In the previous structure, if Diggs balled out, he kept the same contract. In the new one, he could get a better contract. It’s corresponds more directly, so it should give him more incentive
  7. And clearly Houston thought they incentive structure wouldn’t work with him, who’s forced his way off two teams Houston can’t get a comp pick for him
  8. Well, they clearly want him to be good this year
  9. They're afraid of Diggs being a cancerous malcontent, I guess Weird deal. Not great, imo
  10. I believe it's now a one year deal A 2nd (likely good 2nd) for one year plus the 5th and 6th rounders
  11. Cooper and Bishop make sense. I don't think Fiske is realistically there at #86. Good chance he's not even there at #59.
  12. Merely looking like you belong as a true freshman is a good first step
  13. If I'm taking a random stab at pick #42, I'm guessing Michael Hall Jr, unless Darius Robinson falls
  14. The 2025 pick? I doubt that’s much of a consideration
  15. I think Houston probably still signs a safety. Simmons would be ideal, even if he's getting up there in age. Diggs would be fun
  16. It's already been answered, but dead cap is money that's already been spent, but it's just allocated for future years. It's accounting to create more space in the current year at the expense of future years
  17. You responded to a post about how much he's making this year
  18. I mean, they just traded a 2nd for him. They're not going to cut him this year
  19. About $18.5mm this year If he's peak Diggs, that's a bargain. If he's last year's Diggs, it's probably a slight over-pay. He'll probably be somewhere in the middle, and it'll probably be about right

    2024 NFL DRAFT

The Bills are a lock to take a WR in the first round, and maybe in the 2nd round Houston is probably a lock to not take a WR in the first three rounds
  21. I can't see Houston taking a WR on day two now. Root for a big run on WRs ahead of picks #42 and #59 to push other players down the board
  22. They key to this is Diggs has to still be very good
