  1. VHS 85 is better than the previous two installments, which were trash, but not as good as the first two
  2. Houston's defense is the second worst unit in the conference per adjusted epa metrics, only slightly ahead of Baylor's offense, and if Shapen had been playing all year, then Houston's defense would be the worst
  3. Aggy boards seem to think the Bussey decommitment is coming soon
  4. Anyone care to do a top ten power ranking of likely A&M decommitments? I was hoping to get to 10, but I'm struggling to determine how to finish out the list 1) Myles Davis 2) Dealyn Evans 3) Terry Bussey 4) Tyanthony Smith 5) 6) Cameron Coleman 7) Gabriel Reliford '8) Weston Davis 9) Tristan Jernigan 10) I deleted the name in number five, but I forgot who I had there
  5. Where does one post about newspapers spreading misinformation?
  6. He was one of the few coaches Jimbo has actually "fired" due to performance. Usually Jimbo refuses to to acknowledge mistakes and keeps guys on board, and when management tells him to make chances, he pushes back
  7. https://x.com/talhagin/status/1714416463136559592?s=46&t=7yufmFT67hgkDkN-IV5rhw
  8. Of course he'd leave for the A&M HC job I doubt they're passing the hat around to pay out the largest buyout ever by a multiple to hire Georgia's DC
  9. That sounds like the "how much it costs to fire him" buyout, not the "how much it costs to poach him" buyout
  10. Anything north and west of Tyler, Tx, imo
  11. If Freeze is winning at Auburn, they would likely match up to a very high number
  12. So I was thinking, Duke probably matches Elko up to something like $7mm/year at this point, and probably up to something like five or six years. Unless he just values the championship upside of the talent you can acquire at A&M and would leave for there for similar money, A&M would have to beat that number both in average per year and overall guaranteed, something like $9mm/year for seven years or something Of course, Elko could just be happy with the pay raise That's why it's tough to poach from P5 (now P4) programs that have money, and Duke was once paying Coach K over $12mm/year
  13. Texas schedule/Big XII teams ranked by ESPN's efficiency metric this season (unlike SP+, FPI, and others, this only takes data from this season). Teams left on the regular season schedule are bolded 3) Oklahoma '8) Texas 13) Alabama 20) Kansas State 34) Kansas 37) West Virginia 39) Texas Tech 40) Iowa State 43) UCF 47) TCU 53) BYU 59) Wyoming 64) Oklahoma State 68) Cincinnati 85) Houston 95) Rice 120) Baylor **** Houston's defense ranks #113. The Texas offense's ability to move the ball and finish in the redzone should mostly only be limited to whether or not it shoots itself in the foot. Play a clean game offensively and this should be elementary. BYU's offense is bad, and barring a turnover disaster type of game, they shouldn't be able to score enough points to beat Texas at home. A typical game here should be something like 34-10 Texas. Will Howard's running ability has been limited for most of the season, and since he's not a great passer, it's really limited their offense. This weekend KSU replaced Howard with a backup true freshman early in the game, and the offense took off. I'm happy that KSU will put two more weeks of tape of that guy on film before we play them TCU suddenly looked more dangerous this weekend after Max Duggan Josh Hoover replaced Chandler Morris, and threw for 439 yards against a decent BYU defense. He did throw two INTs. They limited BYU to 3.7 yards per play. A very impressive win, we'll see if that was a high water mark or if they're turning into a dangerous team. This will be a road game. Iowa State is now 3-1 in conference (wins against OK St, TCU, Cincy) despite losing a bunch of players to the sports gambling crack down. Their loss was a 30 pointer that was much closer for most of the game, before OU piled on at the end. They've had a surprisingly solidly efficient offense, seemingly due to their QB Rocco Becht, who's a gamer type. This will be a second road game in two weeks, in Iowa in November. Tech had to play their third string QB after halftime, a true freshman, and he was ineffective. It'll be interesting to see how serious the Morton injury is.
  14. Well they do have adequate depth on the DL. ILB and NB are pretty big steps down from the starters
  15. Did it ever come out what the severity of Bryce Anderson and Edgerrin Cooper's injuries are? Those potentially actually really hurt their defense
  16. The highest grade one is likely leaving after this season
  17. Tennessee was missing its center that game. He's playing tomorrow
