  1. So that makes the Big 12 a bunch of runaway boys at the Greyhound terminal? Just yanking your chain. In reality, Nebraska isn't going anywhere until the present conference model crashes. We all know that.
  2. I would definitely like that. That way, we get B1G money and our most meaningful game back. The best of both worlds...
  3. I don't think anybody in Nebraska wanted to come back to the Big 12. They wanted games for the 2020 season. Nebraska was talking a hookup, not marriage. The present Wifey has too much money to leave her...right now... Anyhow, that isn't going to happen, so just more water under the bridge.
  4. Probably as much as Texas likes their L, but we still would have liked that game every year. I also see you didn't answer my question.
  5. You guys clearly aren't over the break up yet, are you? What good is a conference that has Oklahoma in it if Nebraska can't play Oklahoma every year? Can anybody answer that one?
  6. Well, Nebraska tried to jump the fence, but it was too high. I guess we just keep looking for the time when part of the fence goes down to get out and see if the grass is greener then. Props for Nebraska in looking for a way to play football this year.
  7. I really never heard that Wallace had said that. I use that mostly when the local nimrods start arguing over deer rifles and cartridges because in the end, like Democratic candidates, loudmouthed ex Wolverine football players, or deer rifles, it really doesn't matter. It's how you interact with any of the three.
  8. Former Husker WR J.D. Spielman jumped ship from Nebraska and the B1G to land on a team that appears to be playing this year. Good for him. He wasn't going to last another year at Nebraska if Adrian Martinez kept throwing his passes late and high over the middle to him.
  9. You might be right. All of those Michigan players look and sound alike to me. Throw 'em in a sack, shake 'em up and pull one out, they are all the same.
  10. Desmond Howard is ranting against Nebraska's alleged disloyalty to the Big Ten because his Heisman Trophy win over Peyton Manning p!issed off the SEC, which in turn voted Nebraska National Champions in 1997 for a split between Michigan and Nebraska for the two polls. Scott Frost was the QB of that team. So for him, it's personal. Whatever.
  11. That's like asking for a diamond when you are just filling in for the weekend while the girlfriend is going to visit her sister.
  12. Iowa and Nebraska were the only B1G teams that voted to have a football season. Later this afternoon, Nebraska Coach Scott Frost says Nebraska is planning to play football this year, somehow, somewhere. Somebody start a "COVID Realignment Not Going Away" thread. https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/nebraska-coach-scott-frost-says-program-is-committed-to-playing-in-the-fall-even-if-the-big-ten-cancels-season/
  13. It's tough to compete with a coach that won the Heisman trophy. I would go with Scott Frost being a legitimate contender since he won a (split) national championship as a quarterback and then played six years in the NFL as a safety. Still, a Heisman is tough to beat.
  14. I'm sorry, I didn't know you had ever visited my town to know all of this. Tell me, when did the Columbus Food Pantry and Columbus Rescue Mission close down? Because the latter was still open last night when I went there to help out. Should we arrest all of the parents here in Platte County who are letting their kids starve? Last words are yours. Try not to be silly.
  15. Here is what the kid said: "There's ten cases confirmed her in Rovaniemi and not everything is shut down. There's less panic here than there is there (United States) it sounds to me. They're also not testing nearly as much as they were before..." But if it's printed in the newspaper, it's got to be true...right?
  16. Blind panic caused the schools to be closed when there appears to be a zero mortality rate in the 0-29 age groups. Here in my town, they let the kids come eat breakfast and lunch in the cafeterias, but no classes. Does that make sense to you? As far as 90 year old chain smoking Italians, ventilators weren't going to keep them alive forever. Look, you be as afraid as you want to be. Nobody is going to talk you out of it.
  17. My son's friend is marooned in Finland until he can put together connecting flights which are always being canceled. He is in a little town near Helinski, population about 9,000. They have had ten people test positive for coronavirus. Their response: If you are sick, don't go to work and go to a doctor to get tested. If you get real sick, we'll put you in a hospital. That's it. As of this morning, ZERO deaths in Finland due to the coronavirus. It isn't the Indian waving the blanket that killed all of the buffalo. It was the herd mentality and blind panic that sent them over the cliff.
  18. Here is the entire coronavirus episode summed up in one captioned picture:
  19. I don't think Houston is going to enjoy very many road games this year. So just remember: No whining when the fallout from opposing fans starts. As they used to say, "They that sow the wind, shall reap the whirlwind". We'll leave it right here, unless I have to refer back to this later in the season as a reminder who started this feud with MLB. Okay?
  20. The Astros would just pound on their trash cans to drown out the Cubs trash cans and confuse the batters. Cheating is what cheaters do... or maybe more to the point, it's who they ARE.
  21. You stole those rings first, so it's only fair if somebody steals them from you.
  22. I know, I know. If we didn't have rules, there could never be any cheating, am I right?
  23. Thanks for the feedback, I will be sure to factor your this input and your opinions in to the rest of my life henceforth. Now, enough with the bullshit. You didn't like my post because I took the three main excuses that all of the Astro fanboys have used to excuse or mitigate their team's cheating and threw them back into their faces. Probably you face is one of them? Since you had no comeback, clever or otherwise, you went with a rather coarse ad hominem (look it up) attack and then gave me a neg, whatever that does. My guess is it's a World of Warcraft thing. Did I miss anything important here, Guadaloopy? Nope. You get the last word Ace. Put it out there for whoever might read it.
  24. I think I have come up with a "suitable punishment" compromise for the signal stealing that we all can tolerate: Let opposing fans at away game shine laser pointers into the eyes of the Houston Astros batters for the entire 2020 season. Is it cheating? Probably, but everybody does it. Is it fair? No, but don't be a whiny ass. Will it have any real effect on the season? No, because it's still hard to strike out a major league batter, even with an unfair advantage. I think that covers most rebuttal points.
  25. The NFL's version of the Jussie Smollett incident. The dude even looks like Smollet. Any reason why he waited several days before he alleged a racial slur?
