  4. Yeah that was kind of a crazy finish. Thought Rountree had it wrapped up a little earlier.
  5. https://buffstreams.plus/title-game/ufc/ufc-320-live-streams-links This one is working me at the moment.
  6. I'm excited about the card. Hoping I'll be able to stay awake to watch it.
  7. Some somewhat positive news. https://money.usnews.com/money/retirement/articles/the-4-percent-rule-no-longer-works-for-retirees-says-the-man-who-invented-it Bengen now considers 4.7% a new starting point for sustainable annual withdrawals.
  8. Just guessing but probably 120 miles or more. Was doing about 15 miles a day, sometimes a little more or a little less. The whole trail is 483 or so. Second year I’ve been on the CT and still haven’t done all of it. It’s a great trail and worth going back to.
  9. Started at Kenosha Pass and stopped in Silverton. I skipped from Leadville to Salida.
  10. Pics from the Colorado Trail. Just got back from it a little over a week ago. Rode the train into Silverton from the trail. Stayed at a place, Hooker Hanna’s owned by a Longhorn in Silverton. 5th pic is a mama moose and calf.
  11. Lee Trevino got struck by lightning on a golf course way back when. So after a while, when Lee Trevino recovered, a reporter asked if he would do anything different to avoid being struck by lightning. And that’s when Trevino came up with his legendary punch line saying he would hold a 1-iron in the air because not even God can hit 1-iron.
  12. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USS_Liberty On the afternoon of 8 June 1967, while in international waters off the northern coast of the Sinai Peninsula, Liberty was attacked and damaged by aircraft of the Israeli Air Force and motor torpedo boats of the Israeli Navy; 34 American crewmen were killed and 174 wounded.

  14. I’m getting more of a Gomer Pyles deranged son, Goober Pyle vibe.
  15. His name ain't Spelling Rod for a reason.
  16. I spent almost 2 months in Europe this summer. Went to Sweden after the Camino and did a small part of the Kungsleden; Jackviik to Hemavan. It was a cool experience as well.
  17. Did the Portuguese in 23 from Lisbon. It was super easy, pretty flat most of the way. If I was doing it again I would just do it from Porto. The stretch from Lisbon to Porto I didn't care for that much. The Norte was more than I expected. Lots of hills/mountains. Hiking poles would've been a good addition for me. I actually only did the Norte from Irun to Quijon, maybe 60% of the route. The beaches were really beautiful with Playa del Silencio and Playa de las Catedrales being fantastic. Playa Catedrales next to Ribadeo was really cool. Also had a good time in San Vicente de la Barquera. Ate at a really good restaurant there where I met and hung out with a German couple. They lived there and took me to a cool outdoor bar where some local guy was playing music. This time around I did walk the Finisterre and took the bus to Muxia because I was hungover. It was nice to do and mark off the list. Also in 23 I hiked with 2 European friends I had met hiking the PCT the year before. This time it was just me. I enjoyed the challenge of being solo. Still met and hiked with lots of people along the way. You meet a lot of people out there that have done several Caminos. Met an 83 year old Austrian that was on his 11th and did his first at 66. If you have an interest in doing one I say go for it!
