  1. Another place I’m curious about is Hualtuco, Mexico. Anyone here been there before or know much about it? Thanks!
  2. Hola, Estoy en la Republica Dominica! It’s been nice to check out something different but not sure if I’d come back. The beaches are great but it seems like prices here for food and groceries are close to prices at home. I’m on the north coast here. It’s a big kite surfing destination. After talking with 4-5 different people, I think my next Latin America trip is to Argentina.
  3. It’s time to bump junior up to an AR.

  5. All of y’all are very good about letting me know about things I didn’t know I needed.

  7. Maybe some of them went there to play school?
  8. Really enjoyed time it never rained. Almost finished reading The Way of the Coyote by Kelton. It’s been great. Really covers a fair amount of the Comanches in Texas and does so accurately, I feel. Great and underrated writer.
  9. Loved the Walking Drum as well.
  10. Geaux Tigahs!
  11. Good luck and enjoy it!
  12. Yeah I really like the food here. It’s seems a bit cleaner and a little bit smaller on the portion size. Another thing is it seems most of the places have milkshakes on the menu and not just the usual variety. I’m staying with a friend I met hiking the PCT last year. She and her family usually vacation in Namibia. They rave about it. Unfortunately I won’t make it over there but I’m super grateful for all that I’ve gotten to experience here.
  13. I’m currently in South Africa and it’s been a pretty cool experience for me. Dollar is is strong here, food has been good and it’s a physically beautiful land.

  17. Got about about halfway done with the Gerry Lopez doc and am really enjoying it. His deep dive into yoga kind of reminds me of Rickson Gracie.
  18. Yeah, it's looking pretty gruesome.
  19. Plug and play, my man.
  20. You going to leave out the donut shop? https://maps.roadtrippers.com/us/coleman-tx/food-drink/coleman-donuts
  21. No experience with the treatment. 60 minutes did an episode just a few years back on Johns Hopkins psilocybin study that I thought was good. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/psilocybin-active-agent-in-magic-mushrooms-could-treat-addiction-depression-and-anxiety-60-minutes-2019-10-10/ After watching that I read "How to change your mind" by Michael Pollan which I also really enjoyed.
  22. I’m a Burry fan as well. Marko Kolanovic has a pretty good track record and he is negative on stocks right now. https://www.cnbc.com/2023/01/24/outright-negative-jpmorgans-kolanovic-sees-correction-hard-landing.html?&qsearchterm=marko kolanocic
