  1. Maybe I missed it, but who got the GM job if he's assistant?
  2. All series do eventually, even GOT ran out of steam by season 4, flat on it's face season 5. I'm still enjoying it though.
  3. For whatever reason I missed the Vikings when it first came out, probably because too many people were talking about how great it is. I'm now towards the end of season 3 and thoroughly hooked.
  4. Not even in the same universe. Mike would have cut down all those sea gomers armed only with his wit.
  5. That last part is my favorite cognitive dissonance. That "worst Bama team in decades" was able to dispatch all their SEC opponents including Georgia (and hapless aggy) with their only losses being to us and the eventual national champions. They also can't seem to agree on if we got an "easy" SEC schedule or the grind of the SEC will just chew us up next year. Some of them choose to believe both of those things are true at the same time, a special aggy skill.
  6. Or gave up on the Uber geeky build your own desktop gaming rig thing 15+ years ago? I once tried to keep up with that nonsense and it was a relief going back to consoles and not having a million different things that could go wrong. Oh, and having that monster machine you spent $3k+ on being pretty much outdated for some newer games within 5 years or less. Yeah I like mods as much as anyone, but I don't have time for fiddling with all the small issues that come with PC gaming these days. I'd rather drop the cost of a good videocard on a console and games optimized (for the most part) to work with them.
  7. Lol, you really think that will shut them up? It will simply make them even more desperate and deranged.
  8. It only really helps if Ewers lands on the cover. All of what you mention ceases to matter after you start dynasty mode. Everyone does dynasty.
  9. Should have been PI, easy call. DB makes a great play, but I still think AD wins that battle if he isn't touched.
  10. Repping for all the melanin challenged dad bods out there![emoji869]

    2024 NFL DRAFT

Fuck yeah! Every Longhorn expected is in including JWhitt and Ryan Watts. Feels weird actually having multiple Longhorns that will be drafted in back to back years.

    2024 NFL DRAFT

Ryan Sanborn. Hi Tom, how is life down in America's dong?

    2024 NFL DRAFT

He won't last long if he insists on driving NFL QB's into the turf, but he still has value.
  14. Welp, no more either winning or finishing top 5 in Olympic medal counts. The fact we have athletes who start at an early age (non-obscure sports) and become world class due to NCAA competition is the only reason we do well in international events.
  15. Posters like yourself help this place avoid the echo chamber circle jerk of places like texaggy.com and such. Always welcome imo
  16. Way way waaay fuckin overdue, but happy they finally get him in while he's still around. I'll never forget my first real job I had a Longhorn boss who played with McMichael (won't say who, he may be here for all I know..lost contact a while back) and during lunches and dinners (and many drinks of course) the stories started flowing. My fave is the one he told about a group of players going out to 6th one night, of course they had pre-gamed a bit in the dorms and were feeling good. Anyway they were walking towards Sixth and this car full of frat boys comes screeching around the corner almost hitting Steve...of course windows were rolled down and the fratturds were talking shit...and Steve didn't say a word to them...just calmly walked to the front of the car, clasped his hands together and brought them down like a sledgehammer right in front of the driver..spider webbing the windshield. Then he wordlessly (but grinning and laughing) joined the rest of the players walking to 6th[emoji23] Of course this was before the days of everyone having a camera and social media, you could still settle things on your own terms back then. Hookem Steve[emoji869]
  17. Don't have to live there to write these days. A coworker has a cousin who recently moved back to Texas with her screenwriter husband, and they seem to be doing quite well in spite of my coworkers cousin not really having a job or much income that anyone can tell. They only lived in an apartment for 6 months before buying a decently nice house in the area and are now shopping in the Indianapolis area for another so they'll have their own place when they visit his parents. He's still actively screenwriting remotely (between strikes) and only flies to LA when he needs to a few times a year. Like everyone else that moved they got fed up with the taxes, cost of housing and ever increasing crime. They had an older Honda Accord when they arrived (windows replaced several times) and immediately bought a new BMW EV once they arrived and got settled.
  18. Sounds a lot like the NFL if we're honest. At least CFB has the excuse of most of the players less than 2 years removed from HS.
  19. Another year of the Mahomes, Kelce, Swift circus. I'm out, peace[emoji3577]
  20. I have the most expensive Hulu+ because of the wife, but if I were home I'd be watching by antenna.
  21. Bootleg? This game is accessible with a fucking $10 antenna...or coat hanger and tinfoil.
  22. Host Ran out of the good stuff and has locked his liquor cabinet. Now down to Rolling rock. It is smooth drinking, I'll give it that.
