  1. Every single gotdam one of our rivals dispatched, AND immediate chance to avenge our only loss next week. Beating aggy in the most painful way (to them) imaginable is just the cherry on top. It's been a helluva season, makes the Big 12 revenge tour look like child's play by comparison. Let's go get this thing done and win the fuckin SECSEC in our first season as member and then go from there. [emoji869]
  2. Indiana does not have a QB starring in Dr Pepper ads repeating relentlessly every Saturday. Do with this info what you will.
  3. No way in hell that happens even if it should. I would wager the committee is wanting to keep as many fanbases/regions fully engaged in the playoffs as possible.
  4. Same for me. There will always be some true JAG's that need to be shoved into the portal, (recruiting isn't an exact science) but this staff is not only retaining a lot of that type player but somehow getting them to perform at a high level. Broughton is a good example, but Gunnar Helm is by far the most impressive. From tall skinny kid that I thought would end up portaling out to somewhere like Colorado State, Wyoming etc...to the best TE in the SEC and possibly CFB as a whole.
  5. With nearly every team going to a 3 high safety look against Texas, the deep ball which is already lower percentage than the underneath stuff gets even lower...and raises the chance of a pick. Of course everyone loves it when there's a 50 yard TD strike, (look at my av ffs) but defenses are scheming to take that away so Sark/Quinn are for the most part taking what the D gives.
  6. Was that one of Herman's hellspawn doing the horns down in that series of pics running on a screen behind him?
  7. I may be in the minority, but I'd much rather play a late season game against Kentucky vs something like Kansas or K-State where a win for them would be a season maker and get their coach a raise and extension no matter how shitty the rest of their season was. That said, Kentucky is looking for bowl eligibility and it would be a nice feather in the cap of the players and bag o' dicks Jr to be the second SEC team to beat Texas. We can't afford to overlook this one, far too many 2 loss SEC teams and some with better wins. Kinda wish we had gotten this one out of the way earlier in the season and scheduled UTEP or something to rest up for aggy and give some of the restless young players some snaps, but whatever.
  8. Mensa membership ain't what it used to be. Make Mensa Great Again!
  9. It's a concern for sure, but most of those yards came after we started subbing on D. We don't shut down the run game like we did last year even with all starters in, but we also havent had anyone run over us all game long. We just have to start fast on offense and go up by 3 scores in the first quarter, the rest will take care of itself. The pigs have a bit of trouble defending the forward pass and aren't consistent at harassing the QB/sacks. If our front 5 play well (and we figure out Max protect) we win this one without too much sweat.
  10. While the rest of the GameDay crew disses the fuck out of us simply because many of the teams on our schedule sucks this year.
  11. Jesus, watching an entire game on a phone while sitting in a car is worse than the actual cuck option of going to the shower.

    Gunnar Helm

Amazing how far he's come since he stepped foot on the 40. He put in the work needed (mentally and physically) to become one of the best TE's in CFB. And yeah, all that work will be more than worth it on draft day.
  13. Same. Every 4 years or (or however it would work out) is plenty. Feels like if we get stuck with the same schedule we have this year and next we'll never get to play Ole Miss, SCar, Bama, LSU etc unless we meet them in the CCG, but that isn't the same as visiting their place or having them come to DKR.
  14. Titboss' (arky coach) pre-game presser came up on my YT feed today so I watched it earlier.. He actually had the team watch '64, '69 and '91 games in an effort to get the team to give a shit about this "rivalry". It's not a question we have fans on both sides who cherish the memories, but to the players on both sides this is pretty much just a conference game. The OU game isn't like that, and most of our players were old enough to remember aggy on T-day, and even if they don't there is the natural rivalry because the players know each other and many were recruited by both schools. Here's my thought exercise to the olds of which I am quickly becoming myself: aggy, pig, sooner...you can only choose two of those to play yearly, what are your choices?
  15. Pig was our dad's and grandad's rivalry, and these days it's pretty one sided in that older hogs get up for this game way more than older Longhorns for whatever reason. I'd be fine with only playing them every four years or so, we don't need 3 true rivalry games every season.
  16. He's right, I'd say the chance is less than zero. Lagway has nothing to gain by rushing back and possibly having a bad performance, and Billy's job is safe for another year so there is no incentive to play Lagway. In fact there is much more incentive to let him fully heal and recruit him to stay at UF for next year.
  17. So he has anger issues, does loads of coke and wears overalls? Sign him up.
  18. Well there you go. Nothing more needs to be said.
  19. Not if they transfer during the first portal window, or at least that's my understanding.
  20. I've literally never seen him take a play off since he put on the burnt orange. Even if he's a one year rental he will be fondly remembered by me when he's gone, that type of player is rare these days
  21. Something tells me he lands in the SEC even if it's not a team we have scheduled. Not sure how many of Joey Freshwaters mercenaries sign up for another year, but could definitely see Cook go to Colonel Reb.
  22. May be just me, but I'd rather Bond sit this one out and get his ankle right for the last leg of conference/playoffs. I really don't see a scoring battle with Gata, especially if our D continues to show up. Even without Cook we have plenty of WR's who can step up.
  23. Been waiting for him to decommit, just took a long ass time.
  24. Think you pretty much nailed it here.
  25. Uhh, not quite. In spite of their lack of winning, Florida still has quite a few elite players on both sides of the ball. If we don't take this one seriously it could bite us in the ass.
