  1. I'm sure PK has input, but Sark is the one ultimately either making the hire or passing.
  2. I saw this quoted and had to find the original for rep. Bravo good sir, I get that reference [emoji122][emoji122]
  3. Good north Texas program and has been for at least 15 years. It's near Allen so they get the same type of kids playing ball, just at a smaller school.
  4. Don't worry, nobody cares what you do in your own hovel.
  5. So aggy is all in on BDF corches and players these days? Not SEC ready.
  6. Rude awakening? I think most rational fans aren't expecting an undefeated season including winning the SEC on our first try? I think what we do expect is 3 losses as the floor and a shot at the playoffs again. I think there are several other fanbases (including Bama) that may have a far ruder awakening...but we'll see.
  7. Except for the fact I've known a lot of NFL fans who don't give a fuck about CFB (yes, makes zero sense) and vice versa. (I tend towards this end, but makes more sense) I went to a Cowboys game a few years back and let's just say it wasn't exactly a yuppy crowd, more like construction workers, plumbers, electricians and such that either went to trade school or none at all. Of course they have disposable income to waste on tickets plus Jerrah's highway robbery parking fee, overpriced beer and bar food, but I bet not many of them could name 4 star CFB players at any given time. The only time they get interested is on draft day based on the opinions of whichever talking head they follow. Two different fanbases without a huge amount of crossover imo.
  8. Not surprised, he was in the NFL coaching ranks for a looong time.
  9. Why is that, NFL team sniffing around?
  10. I think it was the connection Sark already had with Saban/Bama that worried some people, not that he'd swap a Blueblood on the rise for another facing a partial rebuild. He knows what it's like to struggle the first year as a new coach, I don't think he wants to go through that again unless it's the best option available. I think he stays at Texas for a long time unless somehow the wheels fall off for whatever reason.
  11. Reaching his peak in lock step with the team[emoji869]
  12. No, it's because old and new army always watches the game live while sawing off horns and squeezing balls you stupid sip!
  13. Bro, when has that ever stopped someone from holding a position of high importance? /CR
  14. Yes, we should rescind the offer immediately and have him take down any SM posts showing him as a Longhorn commit! Fuck sakes man, get a grip.
  15. Bro, do you even remember the glorious year of our lord nineteen hundred and thirty nine? And maroon carrots, MAROON FUCKING CARROTS! When has China ever contributed something like that to mankind?
  16. Maybe what we need is already on campus and this big Poly kid gives us good depth? I'm gonna go full aggy "trust the corches" here, but I'd be a lot more confident if this kid was on Bo's radar before he left.
  17. To me the analogy that comes to mind is China vs the western world. China (aggy) was downtrodden for a long time and went on an all out mission to rise to what they think their rightful place in the world should be. What do they do? They look at more successful countries (Texas, OU, Bama, LSU etc) and try to copy what they did (capitalism) while still maintaining their oddity of form of government which still operates as though capitalism was never introduced. (aggy turditions) In other words aggy (China) thinks that by becoming wealthy and building a massive military they can become #1...but without a good understanding of what it means to be #1 and that it didn't happen overnight for the west, it was a process over generations. So yeah, thats how I see it. Little bro thinks if they dress and talk like big bro they can not only be equals, but actually surpass big bro.
  18. Correct, that's what I was taught in HS as a safety where PI was rarely called unless you tackle the receiver before the ball arrives, and timing patterns were rare. Corner may be different, never played there.
  19. It's definitely possible this year if not likely.
  20. My reasoning for him getting picked before Sweat was partly due to the way he was playing at the time and possible concerns NFL GM's may have with Sweat keeping his weight at a manageable level. We'll see, but I still think Murph is off the board before Sweat...and maybe the first Longhorn.
  21. So there's a chance he goes before Sweat? Say it ain't so! @SydneyCarton called me an idiot for suggesting that may be the case a couple months ago, and I'm not sure he's allowed to be wrong?[emoji23]
  22. Agree on the technique and no doubt Muhammad is a good corner, but not sure how much play time Worthy would have gotten if that was simply a regular season game. He certainly didn't have his usual shake, bake and go on that play.
  23. This thread is proof surly can't handle even mild success.
  24. Maybe you missed it, but we lost the guy who developed Sweat and Murphy and still havent hired a replacement. But other than that I see what you're saying and hope somebody steps up big time next season.
