  1. You make a good point. Zero animosity from the local fanbase and the coach of the most prominent university a personal friend. They could do worse than central Texas for retirement...but they could also choose something a bit more tropical and exotic if they want.
  2. You do realize Pete is older than Saban, right? Both of them are done in the same year. I could see Pete going to TV, not sure about Saban.
  3. Or to a newly bought personal yacht. Of course that's what I'd do, but I'm not the greatest CFB coach of all time.
  4. I was about to say Sexton is the real winner in this retirement announcement. Most of his clients will simply get a hefty raise without leaving where they are now.
  5. Or take a real retirement for a couple years and then come back to a TV gig if he really wants that. He's never looked that comfy in front of cameras...I'm sure he will be fine looking after his car dealerships and traveling the world.
  6. 72 years old with not many years left to spend the millions he's made. The only way I'd be surprised is if he truly thought he has the roster to win it all one more time next season. It ain't happening with Milroe and any QB they portal in would be a gamble.
  7. Or he and miss Terry can go spend some of that money he's made with zero CFB insanity surrounding them. Tough choice
  8. Not worried, the University of Texas is a destination school and Sark knows it. The Gumps can never outbid us either. Sark also knows how insane being the first coach to follow the GOAT would be..he's experienced Gump fans first hand.
  9. He knows winning another title in the next 3 seasons or so is unlikely. He has nothing left to prove, enjoy retirement Goat!
  10. He was getting a raise, son or no son. Any team seriously making a run at him means auto-raise no matter where he ends up. Tell that to Bo...straight to his face.
  11. Doesn't mean the entire fam moved around with Bo, no idea about that. Seems he went Juco then directional Louisiana for football so there's some connection there.
  12. Lol, this isn't a bad idea. Kinda like a cripple fight...people will watch[emoji23]
  13. Widespread panic. The entire Manning family are furiously calling every SEC coach to see who may need a starting QB next season.
  14. He was pretty good at actual coaching, not so much on the recruiting trail. Pass
  15. Louisiana kid, always wanted to go to LSU just like dad. It may not make much sense to us, but I'm sure it does to Bo.
  16. That was a long ass time ago now, coaches are mercenary by nature. I can understand if we didn't match the offer, (300k extra goes further in Red Stick vs ATX) but if we did then it doesn't make sense with the class he's got coming in. Haven't paid attention to LSU's recruiting, but I doubt it's better.
  17. Those poor sick children. I bet that hospital can't even afford enough Tylenol to go around.
  18. Vasek has had a full year of S&C, time to see what he brings to the table other than Sooner tears.
  19. Also can't discount the "nobody wants to be the first legacy SEC member to lose to the noobs from the Big 12" even though realistcally Bama already took that one for the team. Even so we won't be anyone's Superbowl next season...except aggy of course.
  20. CTE is real. That's all I can figure out.
  21. Typical sip. I'll have you know that in spite of getting curb stomped by Bama that year, the 2020 Fightin' Texas aggy team could have won it all if not for the BOMC keeping them out of the playoffs.
  22. Wtf with aggy that high. Someone must be hiiiigh..
  23. Fuck that, we can beat both of those teams. It's not like both Meechigan and Georgia arent losing players as well.
  24. Had a Malamute along with a Rhodesian Ridgeback as a kid...both escaped unethical rural breeders near our house and rescued by my mom. Both were very good dogs, but one night both of them ran into a pack of coyotes, the Malamute lost the fight, our Ridgeback was pretty beaten up put pulled through just fine with some stitches and meds. No idea how many Coyotes there were, but two of them were lying near where we eventually found our Malamute. Edit- I say unethical breeders because who does Malamutes in Texas heat? And the Ridgeback breeder wasnt registered either. Both eventually got shut down.
