  1. That won't change now that we're SEC ourselves. Conference just provides a schedule to play, other than that we don't have much use for them.
  2. Not unless he left all the rust on the Cotton Bowl turf. He has to get back to that pre-injury ease with which he saw the whole field and distributed the ball efficiently. Yes, some of that was made easier by the competition, but playing like he did Saturday would have made the ULM and UTSA tighter games than they were, and I don't think Michigan's D is that bad either....or not much worse than OU if we're honest.
  3. I know, but in some peoples minds (casual, non gambling fans) we should lose to Georgia. In my mind that would be huge disappointment, much moreso now that we're not only undefeated but ranked #1.
  4. The south (more southwest-ish) IS rising again, just not in the way mouth breathing trailer park denizens would like it to.
  5. Feels like this will be our first game against a legit offense. Sure they're missing some weapons from last season, but this isn't a talent depleted Georgia team, go back and look at their recruiting rankings the past 3 years. Having said that, we have serviceable DT's, and elevated EdGe and LB play..much better than last season. Even the secondary no longer gives me anxiety, they are actually defending passes (who knew that could be done?) and even when they allow a catch there isn't much YAC. I'll be surprised if we blow them out, but in my mind we are no longer dogs (no pun intended) in this game, especially at home. Oh, and just watched the recorded broadcast of the OU game, kudos to ABC for great sound. I heard "Texas...Fight!", the LHB and even OU SUCKS! chants louder and prouder than ever before, hope our UGA game is the same. [emoji23]
  6. Silas doesn't do anything half assed, he's 100% locked in when he's on the field.
  7. Agree, and a couple years ago if you said that I would have laughed
  8. Fair warning, I am getting unbelievably blacked out tonight. [emoji869]
  9. My greatest fear is coming true. Quinn rusty as fuck and Sark not pulling him for Arch.
  10. Corny dogs, alcohol and the Texas heat are doing all my mind thinking stuff right now. I'm behind the wheel of my body but not driving. Of course none of that changes the fact that it's 1:20pm and OU still sucks!
  11. Arrived 9:30ish, was fine. I can already tell it's gonna be a warm one. Spf 50 spray may not save me.
  12. Just visit your nearest vet and make sure all your shots are current then you're good to go!
  13. Nah man, only high end stuff. I don't deal to broke ass ex players.
  14. That was some Dallas gang beef that somehow made it inside the fairgrounds. All these years I've been going to the OU game or concerts there and never had an issue, but it can't be denied that isn't a great neighborhood.
  15. I'm sure you can still do that, I had some neighbors (just doing the fair for the kids) who came in middle of the second quarter in 2017 for just a $40 handshake...3 people including the munchkin. Edit- no guarantees, but those people aren't exactly highly paid and most have a serious lack of gaf.
  16. Dammit, aggy found the only thing in the world that would make me ditch the OU game. Hang on Johnny, I'm coming!
  17. I'll just go ahead and declare anyone who would even think of putting Ketchup on a fletchers is not not one of God's creations. Aliens can do alien things if they like, just not within my line of sight.
  18. The novelty of such a thing would be off the charts, and although I'm a traditionalist, I'd be down for it being a one time thing. Of course if we actually did this thing at night the City of Dallas wouldn't allow it to happen again...so no real danger of that becoming default.
  19. I'm amazed every year at the condition of the grass. The city of Dallas has made many boneheaded decisions over the years, (the Cotton Bowl itself passed up "dated" decades ago, now it's an ancient ruin) but somehow they manage to keep the Cotton Bowl turf in good shape.
  20. Nah, they do the same shit when aggy has a big game and they don't want it to get to the point where neither side can do it.
  21. From beautiful (but hot af later) Cowtown, TEXAS!! [emoji869] Edit- it's 10:15 am, and you know what that means.
  22. Hot af seems to be the norm for this game. It comes around during the part of October where summer is hanging on for dear life....and then the week after it's usually beautiful fall weather. [emoji85]
  23. Love that shitty old stadium, better than any billion dollar glass and steel abomination full of luxurious amenities.
