How did/are you dealing with it?
Don't forget winter workouts (striated glutes and forearms!) Spring practice and then the spring game. The real off season doesn't happen until the players go home for the summer...that's when it really sets in for me.[emoji85]

How did/are you dealing with it?
The way I see it is they are good enough to beat us if we don't play a near perfect game, and that's exactly what happened...we made more mistakes than they did. I don't think they are a better team, they were just better Monday night.

2024 Game Week #1- Texas v Despondency
Exactly what this thread feels like. We won the gotdam conference on our way out (beating all the old Big 12 schools on our schedule) made it to the CFB playoffs and were within 10 seconds of playing for it all. Wanna talk about despondent? That's what I'd be if I were aggy today. Of course the information ministry will pump copious amounts of sunshine up aggy asses..things like "the Elk is a real football coach" "the S&C guy is bringing hell with him!" "The players we signed want to be aggy!" and shit like that...all similar to what we heard after Mack was shitcanned. The fact is we have a team that can compete in the SEC and have a stellar class coming in, many who will be here for spring ball. I'm disappointed in last night as well, but we're on the right track...and not a rollercoaster.

Big10 Sugar Bowl Refs
Big10 crew does seem a little unfair, wonder if UW would have screamed if we got SEC refs? I guess ACC would have been the most impartial...unless we got an FSU grad/fan that blames us for taking the Noles playoff spot and not Bama.

2024 Game Week #1- Texas v Despondency
We haven't seen Vasek yet and Akana had very limited snaps in only a couple games and not sure he was ever unleashed to go after the QB. I don't think any amount of training table/S&C is going to transform Ethan Burkes body into the prototypical edge rusher, but he should be a bit stronger next season to go along with all the experience he gained this year. Yeah, we recruited well at the position, but I wouldn't rely on true Freshmen to become full time starters...at least not the first few games of the season.

2024 Game Week #1- Texas v Despondency
When Sweat and Murphy were sophs nobody was talking about them, and even last season both had a few flashes here and there, but far from dominant. While it would great to land an experienced DT in the portal, I'm hoping we already have the answer there on campus.

2024 Game Week #1- Texas v Despondency
If nothing else tonight's loss lights a fire under the asses of guys coming back and new arrivals for winter workouts. At least we know we're close...couldn't say that about any other Longhorn team the past decade+. With the 12 team playoff it will be very doable to get another chance very soon.

Quinn "La Joya" Ewers - The Man The Myth The Mullet, Now Starting for the Miami Dolphins
If Quinn was in year 6 of CFB like Penix I think the game tonight goes much better for us. Wasn't all on him though. Now to chug some water and hope my hangover tomorrow isn't too heinous.

Big10 Sugar Bowl Refs
Washington is perfect, just like Okie Lite in '22. Don't smear the names of these respectable (if sight challenged) refs.
