  1. He was much better because neither of those teams provided consistent pressure. If our O-line can give Quinn a clean pocket most of the time he can find a checkdown.
  2. Worthy has proven himself a dangerous weapon this year, probably has more YAC than Mitchell, but Mitchell seems to be Quinn's go to receiver for TD's. I know this will sound pretty homerish, but it's a pick your poison type thing with our offense when it's firing on all cylinders, but I'm sure you can say the same about UW.
  3. You are correct, Mitchell can adjust to a poorly thrown ball and make the catch whereas X has shown that to be his weakness. But even so he's made some spectacular catches himself from time to time. Worthy will get open more often due to speed so he usually takes the double, but that leaves Mitchell and Sanders with good matchups (bad for you guys) at times. Edit- I should replace "poorly" with not a perfect throw, but you get what I mean.
  4. Not all our weapons. Catalon already hopped in the portal and he plays a position where we have our greatest weakness. We also don't know if X will be 100% for the game, just like we didn't find out about the broken hand he played several games with (and Quinn's finger issue on his throwing hand) until after last season was all said and done. I do expect Watts at corner and Baxter at RB to be near full strength..or at least I hope.
  5. I keep seeing the Alamo bowl being referenced. You guys do realize this is the playoffs and not a shit tier bowl game, right? Nobody will be sitting out getting ready for the NFL combine in this game. Of course several players from both teams played in that game last year, but neither team will be exactly the same for this one.
  6. This is literally the only reason I'll watch that shitty bowl game. I want to see aggy get Gundy'd, and I have little doubt that's exactly what will happen.
  7. And apparently throwing a killer tailgate in Shreveport for anyone in DFW passing through to New Orleans.
  8. I was busy earlier, just watched the replay...Hookem and congrats to a bunch of beautiful hyper athletic women![emoji869] Oh, and love that Suh was on hand to witness yet another bitter disappointment for corn.
  9. Oh my sweet summer child, you have no idea what's coming and it's probably best for your mental health it stays that way. Oh, and I can safely say nobody from here will be dropping by your Shreveport tailgate. Nothing personal, it's just a few hundred miles away from where the game takes place. Toodles!
  10. And here's where I switch to something else.
  11. It's now established, the Boys are a closed/temp controlled stadium team.
  12. Wtf is that idiot talking about?
  13. Fort Worth and Dallas have more and more aggy choosing to go north instead of south in recent years, but we still have far more BloU people who got lost on their way out of the fairgrounds and never left.
  14. Joey is pushing all his chips in on '24 being the Rebs best chance at getting to the SEC championship and playoff spot. The BMD's are simply onboard with that plan this portal/recruiting cycle. They did the same a few years back when Freeze was coach, but it cost far less back then.
  15. Fuck me...never bump Ant Hill threads while the portal is still sucking in players. Never ever.
  16. I don't know if meaner and nastier than Studdard is possible this deep into the 21st century, but very nice if true.
  17. Yes, Mr Cruz is from the older, grittier part of Richland hills so he will do just fine at UT. My grandparents lived there for a while when my grandfather worked for Bell/Textron. Their house was quite large but I'd guess the average age of homes in that part of RH are 55+.
  18. An injured Brooks who we weren't sure would play much, but I like the way you think..hope it carries over to UW coaches and players.
  19. For Houston we were playing with a backup QB who liked to throw to opposing DB's and it took Quinn a couple games to get back to form after his injury. Not excuses, just reality. But sure, keep thinking we're the same team as last year's Alamo bowl, hope your coaches and players feel the same way[emoji106]
  20. Good luck in the B1G next season, that should be a hoot mixing high flying left coast football with the typical Midwest ground and pound.
  21. This has probably been asked and possibly discussed at length already, but will coach to helmet communication be allowed in the playoffs? A colleague of mine says it will be, but I've barely paid attention to any of the bowls today and didn't hear it mentioned. So.. 1. True [ ] 2. False [ ]
