  1. Well, the hits just keep on coming. Not only have I transferred from the stupid wife to the divorce thread but I just got back from the vet's office where I was told that my girl, Olive, has lung cancer. FML It breaks my heart to hear her wheezing and know that I'll have to put her down soon.
  2. Saw The Lemon Twigs at Wonder Ballroom in Portland. Fun show. It's been awhile since I've seen a band with a great front man. Lead singer was the love child of Mick Jagger and David Lee Roth. Lots of high kicks and strutting about.
  3. I don't want to be your friend, I just want to be your lover.

I was actually curious what you thought of the Night Beats album. It is so different. Myself, I prefer the more raw sound of the previous albums. Reminds me of when The Black Keys switched from self producing/recording in Patrick's basement to working with Dangermouse. A little too smooth in my opinion.

  9. This is a little off topic but could be considered "unique". I signed up for this service that hosts secret location underground house concerts in 425 cities worldwide. You sign up, petition to get on the list and pay $15 for a ticket. On the day of the show they text you the address. Most shows are byob. You never know who's playing until you get there. My first show will be on the 16th in Portland. https://www.sofarsounds.com
  10. Fathers getting hit in the nuts by their toddler is great television.
  11. Bru McCoy sounds like a kid with a good head on his shoulders. His parents have done a tremendous job raising him. I wish him success wherever he ends up and in life in general.
  12. I cracked up when I read that last bit. Pretty funny and prescient, too. No negativity from me. Good luck wherever you go, Toenail.
  13. Seemed inevitable but I'm still disappointed. He's a talented runner.
  14. This could go on the facebook thread as well. I thought it was funny.
  15. That's rough @Thatguy. Condolences.
  16. The tiny one is the trash, green is yard clippings, blue recycling.
  17. So close.
  18. Saw Wavves at Revolution Hall in Portland. This is a relatively new venue in Portland that they converted from an old high school. Inside there are bars, restaurants and a good sized concert venue. Really cool concept and property. I was surprised that the show was as sparsely attended as it was with only 200-300 people in the audience. There was plenty of space on the floor and I eventually strolled right up to the stage. This was the last show of their tour and things went off the rails towards the end of the show. The lead singer, Nathan, was on his second bottle of Jameson and I was able to witness the lights going out in his eyes. He asked for someone to provide him with weed. Which, as you might surmise, happened rather quickly. Shortly thereafter he decided it would be a good idea to smash his guitar. Looks like I got a new momento to go with the poster for my garage.
  19. I haven't seen this one before but it is making me laugh my ass off. Bravo!
  20. Don't be such a pussy.
  21. I think Applewhite's explanation is spot on. Attached vid clip starts during the press conference with Major's explanation.
  22. I would guess that is so all of the dead person's friends will receive word that they were kilt. I still see people on facebook writing birthday messages to dead people and it is really obvious they don't know they're dead.
  23. My wife and I separated 2 months ago so I've been listening to some sad music. Because I'm sad. The whole "Strange Trails" album by Lord Huron is hauntingly beautiful and melancholy so it has been the soundtrack of the separation for me. This song, in particular, has resonated with me.
