  1. The "realistic" scenes have several inaccuracies and unnatural movements but this is still very impressive and if there is exponential progress, then many people could be fooled. My concern is for the younger generations who are immersed in digital realms that have supplanted and stunted their observations of the actual world. They may not be able to tell the difference because they don't have enough experience with reality.
  2. Will this death change anything in Russia or does Putin have a critical mass of Russians (and some westerners) under his thumb so much that Russians just shrug their shoulders and move on?
  3. They actually look better rusted. Now bring on the dystopian Mad Max future so I can drive these things out near Alpine while I wear war paint, carry around a sawed off shotgun and clone Tina Turner wearing fur boots.
  4. This. Mahomes and Kelce possibly two of the worst athlete actors. Maybe it’s the design. Even Coach Reid is better. I’m trying to think of something else you can be all pro in (like football) and then someone gives you just as much money to suck so bad in something else. In the end, it doesn’t matter if they sell product. Sigh.
  5. For the less than 10% that can do this. I’m loving the returns on my money market at 5.5 and my recent 18 month CD at 5.05. People making a living and people surviving in a credit/debt heavy society are sucking wind.
  6. I read it was the shooter’s kid and she may have had the kid up against her. If she is firing off rounds that are going to kill multiple people then it becomes a no win scenario. She has to be taken down. Not sure how many police are actually good at firing guns under direct fire either or if anyone could have lined up for a better shot.
  7. I swear I heard “child labor” and “ethnic cleansing” in the Temu commercial song as the $9.95 toaster floats by.
  8. Dude was clutch when it counted.
  9. Craptastic offense bailed out by KC
  10. Shape shifter but they suck at it, so they can only change gender.
  11. Terry occasionally makes some good decisions and adjustments but I feel like I’m congratulating a toddler on finally pooping in the potty. There are some fundamental flaws with the “team”. Ugly Texas basketball is witnessed far too often. Not sure the light bulb is coming on for coaching but one can hope, right?
  12. Those towns around there don't have the infrastructure to support that amount of craziness. We have a family ranch not too far away and I'm not sure if I want to brave going to that area and leaving after it's done. My house in Central Texas is in the area of totality and only 20 seconds under the very center of the eclipse line time.
  13. Financial accountability should be the focus. Educational accountability should be another subject. Do you mean financial accountability from "governing bodies" like our government or sycophant boards of trustees with friends needing a tax break? And "not for profit" is utter bullshit. Sure, capitalist, amoral greed has ruined modern business but "for profits" are made to run efficiently or the suffer a monetary accountability. Unless our amoralistic government responds to favors and lobby money and bails them out. Modern universities are a racket filled with students who got swindled into thinking 6 figures was a good investment for their teaching, philosophy or modern western art degrees. Add the incredible cost and bloat in the administrative part of these universities, then you see why higher education is in serious need of a major correction. Maybe we can lump in the unsustainable US healthcare system as well.
  14. Universities live in their own bubble without any true outside accountability. These organization would never survive in a regular business setting (i.e. restaurants, salons, etc.) so you get a massive academic circle jerk with snake oil sales people grifting parents and the government for way too much funding for too little value. When I read about college bloat and loose money I think about the doctors that fleece easy to scam entities like Medicare but get caught and do jail time when they should have gone into academics.
  15. That's good, likely a PCR test. Much more accurate than the rapid point of care testing unless the facility has a higher level testing ability and can run PCR in the facility (i.e. emergency room with lab attached). Of course, if you find out you have RSV then there's not much to do except take care of yourself and watch for secondary complications. There's no antiviral for RSV. The new adult RSV vaccines (older and high risk adults) are really good BTW.
  16. Pleased with in game adjustments by Terry on this one. The lights coming on for Max helped a bunch too.
  17. Haha, double team on Brock. And he makes the roaches pay.
  18. Yes, a travesty that part of his game hasn’t been developed.
  19. Not a smart game plan so far. Trotting out some offense for some other team other than TCU. In other words, poor scouting and poor game planning. Terry needs to adjust quickly.
  20. TCU D daring Texas to take them off the dribble. Hunter, Mitchell and Weaver need to step up.
  21. Just FYI, RSV rapids can be done for kids under 7 and some can be done on adults over 60. If you are an adult under 60 getting a rapid RSV at a clinic, then the clinic is risking a CLIA (lab accreditation) no-no.
