  1. Financial accountability should be the focus. Educational accountability should be another subject. Do you mean financial accountability from "governing bodies" like our government or sycophant boards of trustees with friends needing a tax break? And "not for profit" is utter bullshit. Sure, capitalist, amoral greed has ruined modern business but "for profits" are made to run efficiently or the suffer a monetary accountability. Unless our amoralistic government responds to favors and lobby money and bails them out. Modern universities are a racket filled with students who got swindled into thinking 6 figures was a good investment for their teaching, philosophy or modern western art degrees. Add the incredible cost and bloat in the administrative part of these universities, then you see why higher education is in serious need of a major correction. Maybe we can lump in the unsustainable US healthcare system as well.
  2. Universities live in their own bubble without any true outside accountability. These organization would never survive in a regular business setting (i.e. restaurants, salons, etc.) so you get a massive academic circle jerk with snake oil sales people grifting parents and the government for way too much funding for too little value. When I read about college bloat and loose money I think about the doctors that fleece easy to scam entities like Medicare but get caught and do jail time when they should have gone into academics.
  3. That's good, likely a PCR test. Much more accurate than the rapid point of care testing unless the facility has a higher level testing ability and can run PCR in the facility (i.e. emergency room with lab attached). Of course, if you find out you have RSV then there's not much to do except take care of yourself and watch for secondary complications. There's no antiviral for RSV. The new adult RSV vaccines (older and high risk adults) are really good BTW.
  4. Pleased with in game adjustments by Terry on this one. The lights coming on for Max helped a bunch too.
  5. Haha, double team on Brock. And he makes the roaches pay.
  6. Yes, a travesty that part of his game hasn’t been developed.
  7. There we go. Good adjustments.
  8. Not a smart game plan so far. Trotting out some offense for some other team other than TCU. In other words, poor scouting and poor game planning. Terry needs to adjust quickly.
  9. TCU D daring Texas to take them off the dribble. Hunter, Mitchell and Weaver need to step up.
  10. Which Tyrese is showing up today?
  11. Just FYI, RSV rapids can be done for kids under 7 and some can be done on adults over 60. If you are an adult under 60 getting a rapid RSV at a clinic, then the clinic is risking a CLIA (lab accreditation) no-no.
  12. Make sure you drink lots of water with it otherwise it makes your mucus look like wood glue.
  13. One of the best classes I had on the 40 was Argumentation and Advocacy. The professor definitely had her political bias but she did a fantastic job at teaching us to wade through the bullshit from whatever side it originated.
  14. Well, one drama queen was getting paid millions of dollars to coach basketball. If that doesn’t make you clean up your act and get rid of toxic baggage, then you deserve to be shown the door.
  15. Lots of people bitched about rebounding last year as well. A slightly higher level of mediocre is still mediocre.
  16. It’s not roster for the boards differential. It’s basketball IQ and coaching. This has been a constant all season and Texas has the athletes to compete on the glass. Poor fundamentals.
  17. Yeah, the dude will die on the hill when he makes a wrong observation. Painful to listen to him perform verbal gymnastics.
  18. So, only enough offensive plays for regulation? Default to shakablah?
  19. Hunter giveth and taketh away but seems like mostly taketh this season.
  20. Why isn’t Texas adjusting on defense? It’s like groundhog day out there.
  21. Not defensing and barely scoring. He would make a good Spurs 2023-2024 player.
  22. These things they should have learned in high school. The high screen defense is atrocious. At least they figured some offense out.

    Measles

Yes, there was Covid resistance bleed over to a lot of other vaccines bc people aren’t rational and can’t think outside their twitterverse and FB comments.

    Measles

Well, it’s mostly the kids of the ignorant who suffer from this, so I don’t think it’s quite fair to not being sympathetic with them. And you’d be surprised on what populations end up having these outbreaks because it’s not all just anti-VAX from the south. It happens in clusters of immigrant populations. Unfortunately they too, have been subjected to vax misinformation mainly from that asshole Wakefield who should be tried for murder.
  25. Unfortunately the majority of wrongful convictions that include the death penalty are from police/leo misconduct. And I haven’t seen the barometer move on cleaning that up. And there used to be cases where a jury recommended life and judge sends to death row. And we need to save all that nitrogen so dealers can screw customers on tire inflation charges.
