  1. Maybe before halfway through conference. This is really bad basketball.
  2. According to ESPN, Bennett must be the only player on GA. It has nothing to do with the other 10 players on the field including the O line kicking ass.
  3. Meh, this is a preview of the Cowboys’ playoff appearance. Rinse, repeat.
  4. Give it to Terry and experience to keep this team from folding in those last minutes. A good stretch of that last half was ugly.
  5. No head fakes, forcing bad shots and lazy takes by Texas is how they have 11.
  6. If Brock is going to get that many minutes then he needs to look for more offensive like that 3 ball.
  7. Lance Blanks on the color commentary (no racist) today. He’s actually doing a good job. Morris giveth and taketh away.
  8. If I’m in my dream job banking millions a year, I would have done all of this as soon as I hit campus and not after I’ve screwed myself and my employer. I hope Beard decides to do the suggested remediation but I think that realistically, it would be for show and the behind the curtain crapfest will continue. Another frustrating thing is that his professional performance was kicking ass until his personal life bled into the job. It’s like a Shakespeare play or a Greek tragedy.
  9. I’ve prepped myself for reading this thread by by re-reading any game thread where Charlie Strong was the coach and going into the CR for 30 second intervals. There’s still pain but I’m tolerating it a little better.
  10. Yeah, applicable evidence based medicine doesn’t come from anecdotal dramatic stories and press conferences. There’s definitely a circle the wagon mentality when it comes to very public cases like this. I’m not saying the initial teams did it wrong or right although the initial possibility of anoxic brain injury was concerning. We still don’t know jack. “Neurogically intact” is a nebulous term when trying to describe the whole neurological status of a person. But it doesn’t matter if the general NFL viewership knows anything.
  11. Can we frickin’ hire someone without some sorted twisted past? We’re talking millions a year and we are pulling coaches with major baggage. Someone send CDC and the BOR the hot-crazy matrix adapted for coaches with talent and baggage/major personal issues on the x and y axes.
  12. I am wondering as well. The oxygen dependency could be due to lung damage (possibly pneumothorax) during the hit or from CPR. And I was also hoping he didn’t suffer actual trauma to the aorta or heart walls (myocardium). They’re keeping most everything tight lipped so this is all conjecture.
  13. If he is now sedated and there is questionable brain anoxia then it would appear that CPR was late or insufficient. I still don’t think we will get an accurate timeline. You can stabilize the c spine, pull off the face mask and check a pulse all at the same time. It wasn’t just one medical staff person on the field. You can give a little grace on the AED timeline IF they recognized the pulseless rhythm quickly and started CPR until the AED was ready. We had a high school athlete collapse at a game I wasn’t attending (random v-fib and no structural problem) and a nurse instructor and two family docs recognized it, started CPR and had the AED on and shocking within 3 minutes. No anoxic injury resulted.
  14. Best thing to do is for everyone to ignore the vaccine discussion in this context. Flame away at your idiotic friends and family in a direct discussion between the cardiac risks of the vaccine vs the cardiac risks of idk….actually having Covid.
  15. They don’t know that on the field or in the ambulance. He is getting coded until a doctor calls it at the hospital. Even if it takes over an hour. Having the family come to the ambulance would be stupid unless he had come arounnd and even then there should be no one riding in that ambulance but paramedics and on field docs.
  16. They wouldn’t do that. No frickin way. He would be rushed asap to the hospital. His mom would likely just be pulled to a following car. And from personal experience, the media is horrible about relaying medical facts. The differential diagnosis for this young man is still wide open so any discussion on the few factiods we have is extremely hypothetical.
  17. Dan obviously hasn’t watched 95% of the conference games involving Texas.
  18. And not even productively. He’s a contrarian with an IQ pushing 80. His hot takes are helpful to no one.
  19. And completely unnecessary contact. Dude is fortunate. Never needed to make the play like that.
  20. Ironic the frogs get through the regular season by the skin of their teeth but really dominated Michigan for a lot of the game. They earned the championship with this game.
