  1. Are you sure it’s not Mr. Hankey and your son is getting the blame?
  2. You know there’s a beat down when the commentators talk about everything but the game.
  3. With energy prices going up, you’re going to have to be more creative. Unless you’re on solar.
  4. Get on the hyperbole train man. It was completely the best way to get through Covid. Except for the paths of destruction it caused on both sides of the issue.
  5. 6 and have to be completely worried about 1st round exit if bad matchup with an opposing team with decent bigs or athletic PG.
  6. Obviously we shouldn’t trash individuals for lack of talent because this team plays with heart but making the same fundamental mistakes all season is disappointing. When the team actually runs Beard’s system with their heads up then good things happen.
  7. I forgot we are supposed to be excited about a twenty point collapse.
  8. We have no inside presence. Live and die by the three ball and cutting to the basket. No guards or bigs that can finish at the rim.
  9. I don’t understand Bishop at all.
  10. I’ve seen better offensive movement in pickup games at the Y. Is Shaka back?
  11. At least he owned up to it. Grandpa looked like an ass during the post game presser trying to blow it off and using the “he got pushed” excuse. Okay Karen Boeheim.
  12. I think you can take the pigment out of it and try to find what is inherently wrong with these societies that break down into deadly violence over the most trivial matters. Our core, uninhibited beings can be a dark sewer. William Golding was both observant and prophetic.
  13. I think we have a shot in the big 12 tourney sans Baylor. A matchup at the big dance with guards like Flagler from Baylor or any team with inside bigs over 6’10” are not good matchups for this team. Especially with Mitchell missing and Disu not getting back into a regular rotation.
  14. Guards or bigs. Texas is toast if they get a bad matchup in the tourney. I love the way this team works and like Beard’s system. He needs a more well rounded team and it may take a couple of years to get there.
  15. About the time we stop taking our shoes off at the general airport security. Our government does very illogical things in perpetuity until enough people force them to change it.
  16. Has any told the Longhorn defensive backfield?
  17. But those places don’t make defense contractors money like European conflicts or places rich with energy reserves.
  18. Are you in College Station?
  19. His timing from having the West potentially in an energy crunch was actually pretty good, maybe could have done this prior to Olympics due to the country being largely mud now. Maybe even his invasion strategy and initial approach on paper was potentially clever. I won't take time to look but several non political commentators were gravely concerned about the start of this war given we vaguely knew Russian military strength. Maybe our intelligence knew a lot more and kept it close to the vest. But almost everything about the actual execution, crappy Russian military officers and enlisted, insufficient supply chains, outdated equipment and not anticipating the World's response has been a Fyre festival event. But mostly Putin is unexpectedly outmatched by Zelensky, the Ukrainian military, Western aid and the overall will of the Ukrainian people. Without these components, he would have won quickly. He may still "win" in Ukraine from throwing sheer resources at the war (including Russian bodies) and his sociopathic approach. We can only hope that someone from the inside takes him out before we end up in a regional or world war. So to answer your question, I don't see anyone, at the beginning of March and one week into this tragedy, touting Putin's approach.
  20. That’s disappointing but maybe we won’t get the human version of WOPR like Putin.
  21. Because of two decades of shady and crappy foreign/energy policy in Europe. That includes us but mostly western Europe. So yeah, I think we (the democratic world) could have done something to dissuade Putin. Maybe not in the last two weeks. So if y'all want to keep talking like the football field is 10 yards long and celebrate 1st downs like Baylor and OU then be my guest. Nobody is near the goalline on this one. We are herding cats because we didn't spay the cats to begin with. Yay us! And none of this is a conversation without the badassery of the Ukraine people. Their grit and sacrifice has allowed us to get off our assesses and try something.
  22. There is way too long to go and too much complicated history to start slob knobbing our government and particularly Biden in this fiasco. The facts are that there are millions of Ukraine citizens in the line of fire of a crazy man, likely thousands of dead Russian soldiers involuntary slaughtered and the world‘s energy and economy looking fragile. I guess you can say the shit sandwich taste better than you thought but it’s still a bunch of crap and there needs to be an evaluation of how this could have been avoided if at all.
  23. Ugly win is win.
