  1. Never thought I'd see a day where I was pulling for Hamilton. Or Ferrari. Certainly not Hamilton and Ferrari.
  2. When I bought my last pair of goggles 10 years ago, they were fairly expensive at ~$125. Obviously some more expensive, but feel like there were a ton of quality goggles in that $90-$100 range. Just looked on the Smith site and pretty much their whole offering is $200+ and a shitload at $300+. https://www.smithoptics.com/en_US/c/snow-goggles/?cgid=snow-goggles&srule=price-high-to-low&start=0&sz=12
  3. This goal by Erling Haaland’s brother is one of the most ridiculous ever seen in the Championship
  4. Good buddy of mine from HS was in the 10th Mountain Division over there. Dude was fucked up for a good long time after coming back. Very Vietnam-ish, in that he may have been 21? 22 at best? w/ severe PTSD after a single tour. I thought about him when Brad Thomas (guy w/ the Elvis Costello glasses) talks about the moment he switched from trying to identify combatants to "everyone I see dies."
  5. Cross-posting, because skiing... Mt Etna is erupting in Sicily and these dudes are still making turns... Z3TRA7cASR8rjQbF.mp4
  6. Mt Etna is erupting in Sicily, and some folks just can't be bothered... Z3TRA7cASR8rjQbF.mp4
  7. Miami is terrible. It's going to take some real work to rebuild that team. That roster is ass, my dude.
  8. Every team played last night, which is fairly rare - I think I heard Doris say it will only happen 4x this year. Even more rare:
  9. Pretty proud of the students at my old school: https://www.stripes.com/theaters/europe/2025-02-12/patch-school-protest-hegseth-dei-16804589.html STUTTGART, Germany — More than 50 Patch Middle School students staged a walkout Tuesday to protest recent Pentagon moves that have targeted diversity initiatives at military schools. In a memo to parents, the school said the protest was related to “recent events,” while stopping short of directly naming the Pentagon’s push to eliminate diversity, equity and inclusion programs and educational material. The protest coincided with a visit by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth to Patch Barracks, who was in Stuttgart for meetings at U.S. Africa Command and U.S. European Command headquarters. During his stop at EUCOM, a small gathering of people dressed in civilian clothes also appeared to protest recent Pentagon decisions, with the group shouting out “DEI” for diversity, equity and inclusion.
  10. https://x.com/CBSSportsGolazo/status/1889426471757733946 Guess I'm going to have to figure out reddit if I want to embed vids from now on...
  11. Hit ESPN on the way home now and Jeff Ward spent the entire segment talking about a school volunteer who got let go because a busybody mom found the volunteer's OnlyFans. Motherfucker thinks he's still on 590AM.
  12. Great read on 9th Street: https://texashighways.com/outdoors/recreation/bmx-bikers-flip-out-at-austins-9th-street
  13. Playing the US Virgin Islands This is kinda fucked up.
  14. Holy shit, what a slaughter. Goals for US @ minutes 2, 5, 8, 9, 13, 15, 19 7-0 before 20 minutes played.
  15. S2 of Mo was kinda meh.
  16. Texas soccer superstar Lexi Missimo returns home, signs with Dallas Trinity FC
  17. Peak Tatum, peak Kornett tonight. Unstoppable.
  18. Be interesting to see how the Knicks close the season.
  19. Well, on Westlake's schedule they called it JV...on Jesuit's schedule they called it Varsity B, confirmed by my friend, who said Jesuit's JV didn't travel. Friend's kid had a nice bounce shot goal right after I had a frustrated rant about no bounce shots and a shitload of missed/saved goals, so that was satisfying. Jesuit looked sharp, imo - lot of smart lacrosse plays, multiple quick, connected passes leading to a quality shot. Defense held Westlake to 6 goals (13-6 final - Jesuit).
