About 6 weeks in and I've held strong! No beer, bread or ice cream (my evil trinity of fattyfatass) and 99% of what I've eaten is clean/homemade. This past week was the 1st time I've really had cravings for carbs or comfort foods, but I'm also down roughly 20# so I'm pretty pleased about that!
My 1% processed food = vegan buffalo chicken nuggets and Chik-Fil-A Polynesian sauce. Sometimes you come home late and need something you don't have to "make".
Breakfast is either strawberries/raspberries w/ greek yogurt and honey or oatmeal w/ bananas and "scrambled" eggs.
Lunch is mostly a green salad - green leaf lettuce, carrot, celery, red bell pepper, cucumber, spring onion, cherry tomatoes. Sometimes topped w/ leftover grilled chicken or salmon, but mostly just greens. Once a week lunch treat is poke bowl, but I've switched from rice base to salad base, and dropped a protein. Recently discovered the delicious Flower Child Mediterranean chicken bowl, but $18+ is a steep for the amount you get. Oddly, I don't think I've ordered a salad from Cava this entire time and that's one of the best values out there imo.
Dinner is usually just a protein and veggie - usually chicken/pork/steak/salmon w/ roasted cauli/steamed broccoli/roasted sweet potato.
Some others: Turkey jalapeno sausage/riced cauliflower/spinach bowl; ground turkey/kale/white bean soup (make a giant batch and eat for 2 weeks); squash/zucchini/red bell pepper over cous cous.
Snacks are Granny Smith apples, tuna salad, homemade hummus and carrots, cottage cheese, lazy man's deviled egg (example: here) is my late night snack pretty much every night.
The biggest drawback is ALWAYS FUCKING CUTTING OR CLEANING. Goddamn sometimes I just want to open a bag of something and eat w/o making or cleaning or order a pizza out of laziness.
