  1. Gerry w/ a nice zinger.
  2. I know. Can't imagine what they're telling people it is.
  3. Well duh! I hope he enjoyed it, and felt the love all of us clearly have for Tony, Rodney, and skateboarding.
  4. Anyone else going to the Tony Hawk/Rodney Mullen deal tonight at ACL/Moody?
  5. That’s not how prep schools work, but you know that.
  6. The sliced chuck roast is amazing, if a little more fatty than I’d like. Beef chorizo and chori-papas were excellent.
  7. You vastly overrate "college" teams as a whole. There are 300+ D1 teams and MANY of them are absolute trash. "Any college team outside the top 40" is a pretty big reach, but I'd bet money they would beat at least the bottom 100 teams. The bottom third or so of most non-P5/6 conferences are simply bad. And there's another 15 conferences to go through, but you get the idea.
  8. Leroy & Lewis still has the truck at Cosmic Coffee though, yes? I'd bet there's no line there.
  9. That's amazing to me - a cop on MoPac pulling people over that far south, not the white privilege. Also reminds me that my registration sticker is on my desk and the sticker on my window reads 2/24.
  10. eh, idgaf about anything N of the Domain, because I might be up that way 3x/year. Never see them anywhere near the arboretum. Why would they be? It's deadlocked most of the time. Who's speeding through there? Used to be a beating driving down 360 w/ cops posted up in the median w/ their lights off at night, but now those catch fences are there, so that's done with. That's where they used to feast. There and just south at Far West/Anderson. Barely a presence now compared to before the toll lane and sound barriers. Austin has always been one of the lowest cop:population cities in America. This is nothing new, even if it is to a higher degree.
  11. Cops on MoPac today vs 10-15 years ago is absolutely reduced. There used to be spots all up and down where they'd hide and snipe you, but most of those spots are gone now w/ the new construction. Not sure the last time I've seen a cop on MoPac that wasn't in transit. I'm personally thankful, as I have a heavy right foot.
  12. I feel like there was a City Council specific thread somewhere, but couldn't find it. This got a chuckle out of me:
  13. Bad enough that he didn't come out for FP2. Note: Same car that Alex broke last race.
  14. Just now watching FP1. No way Williams can keep Sageant, regardless of who they bring in. I could take that seat and cost them less money in repairs.
  15. Certainly. But that's not the argument at hand. The argument is whether places that are open 1 or 2 days a week should be in the running for James Beard Awards.
  16. Not sure what thread this goes in because he's not really a $9.95er, but everyone's favorite is on strike.
