  1. Less than lethal aim maybe, but a fully automatic rifle isn't a less than lethal weapon.
  2. Well, that shit ain't happening. 7 losses on the season. 3 of them are 1 score losses, and a 4th was only 6pts. It's hard to be too upset with the effort and development of the roster, but that W/L is gonna be ugly. Would be crazy to get a legit starter from the draft out of all this.

    They're not wrong...
  6. It's just not a purpose built room like the old one was. It's....fine? Not like the old one was some cathedral to comedy, but it felt much more like a "legit" venue and the new one just feels ...idk? temporary? hurried?
  7. Buddy of mine was dating her for a minute when she first moved here. Fun chick to party with. That has to be damn near 20 years ago. I liked Rogan up until about 10 years ago when he went from being a fun stoner to negatively influencing way more folks than a pothead comedian ever should. Saw him at Cap City in like 02? 03? and it was a great show, as was another at ACL/Moody a couple years later. The willful ignorance for engagement is simply enraging to me. I'll never spend a dime at his place. Fuck Hinchcliffe's racist ass. I'll cheer if he ever gets hit by a cement truck. I am bummed about Cap City's new spot at the Domain compared to the 183/Burnett location. New one feels like someone made a stage out of a high school classroom or something.
  8. My mind immediately went to Danny Almonte.
  9. I'd imagine the conference would love an undefeated #2 going into the playoffs.

How about a huzzah and a high five for Haas and Ollie Bearman?!?! 6th today following 4th in Mexico, 4th points finish in a row and 8th on the year. He's currently in 12th with 40 points. The best a Haas driver has ever finished is Magnussen at 9th with 56 points in 2018, followed by Hulkenberg in 11th with 41 last year. Not sure he can get to that 56 mark, but I think/hope he gets to Top 10 for this season.

If the season continues as it has the past couple of races, I'd be curious to know if there was another fall off as drastic. Race 1: 9th Races 2-16: 15 podiums, 7 wins Races 17-21: Ret-4-5-5-5
  13. Back on the left side of the ledger today after an asskicking at RB Leipzig last week. 8-0-3 on the season and I believe w/ the BVB draw, we move into 3rd over them.

The starting grid pretty much guaranteed entertainment, but this has been much more than I expected. Thought we'd get 15-20 laps of shakeout before the procession started but we're still racing all over the place 58 laps in.

Leaving San Francisco a couple of years back and there was an actual physical sign saying this about 20 yds ahead of the TSA entrance.

  18. I've got a great one for this tangent... Opening Day of the Longhorn season, 1998: Sep 6 vs New Mexico State. Early game, very hot, and followed up w/ a visit to 6th Street. I was so drunk, I knew it and took myself home around like 11-1130...at that time in my life I *never* went home before the bars closed. Lived in an efficiency on Riverside w/ no microwave. Wanted a bit of ice cream w/ Hershey's so I put some water in a pan, put the Hershey's in the water and put it on the stove to warm up, then plopped down in the recliner and passed out. Woke up to my girlfriend and neighbor trying to wake me up in an apartment so thick w/ smoke you could barely see your hand in front of your face. The water had boiled out of the pan and then the pan heated up and melted the plastic Hershey's container, which dripped down onto the electric element and caught fire. Somehow this tripped all breakers, so no light to help see though the smoke. I am obviously still hammered and the girlfriend isn't having whatever idiocy I am stuck on, so she leaves my drunk ass and goes to her apt. Had to sleep there w/ no AC and in the WORST smelling apt ever. Got up the next day, went to Robert Earl Keen's festival in Luckenbach and left the real cleanup for later - priorities and whatnot. Took like 6 weeks for that smell to dissipate.

It's not legal, but it's also not checked. Throw a couple of gummies into an old pill bottle, put it in your checked baggage and don't thing twice about it. (not an issue in your carry on either, but no one will be digging through your checked)
  20. wtf is going on in Boston? Are the Bruins...good?
