  1. I think it's the fact that he immediately committed to tOSU that rubs people the wrong way.
  2. Washington may still be on portal watch. That doesn't mean he doesn't think highly of Coach Coleman. Sometimes these kids love their original choice, they just want a more favorable depth chart.
  3. Both Stewart and Blue will be making cases for the #1 spot at their position this year. Both could easily end up 5 stars.
  4. Rolling blackout every 30 min or so here in Round Rock.
  5. Point taken on Nadal. Simone Biles is the GOAT by a wide margin.
  6. Kobe changed the entire idea of what it means to dedicate yourself to a craft. Steph Curry changed the game completely. If you can’t shoot at least 35% from 3 you're a liability in today's basketball. The tennis list isn’t that long. It's Serena and Federer. I guess it's fuck Simone Biles huh?
  7. Seriously, the kid has a well put together highlight clip. Does a bit of everything for his team. Runs with the same kind of energy that Rojo runs with. Ranking definitely doesn't match the film.
  8. It's the Alabama model. 1. Offer the best players. 2. See who's serious about building a relationship with you. 3. ?? 4. Profit. The previous staff had steps 1 & 2 mixed up.
  9. Please stop engaging the idiots pitching Samples. Anyone who has been paying attention knows that’s fucking stupid. He's not taking a non-coaching role just to be at Texas.
  10. Let em fall. I need to get in on the rebound.
  11. Coach Sark interview with B&E (Hour 2) Starts at the 25 min mark of the “Hour 2” section.
  12. What? I’m sure it has much more to do with his ability to coach. He was a major success at Gilmer.
  13. I bet Overshown can’t wait to play for this jackass.
  14. Bobby Burton on the Stoops hire: According to published reports in Alabama, Crimson Tide analyst Mike Stoops is set to join Steve Sarkisian’s staff. While it’s not entirely certain what position he will have, it is ostensibly for the linebacker spot. One of the first things I ever learned to deal with as a reporter was delivering “unwelcome news” to the public. The hiring of Stoops to many Longhorn fans is just that. Suffice to say, he is not a well-liked figure in Longhorn lore. Not only is he the brother of former Sooner coach Bob Stoops, but he was also the defensive coordinator of some of the biggest beatdowns of the Longhorns in the history of the Texas-OU rivalry, and was routinely seen berating players on the sideline to the point that spittle came out of his mouth and the coloring of his face turned a shade of red that is clearly unhealthy. While I’m not concerned with Stoops’ participation in the shellackings of the Horns or his long-time relationship with the Sooners, I am concerned with his temperament with players and whether or not his last two years spent off the field has mellowed him somewhat. It’s a tired act to be yelled at, to be demeaned in front of teammates, and possibly on national TV.At the same time, I have zero doubt that Stoops is a strong position coach, more than capable of understanding what Pete Kwiatkowski wants to do with his defense. For much of the late ‘90s and early 2000s, the Sooners linebackers were the envy of the Big 12.Every single hire that Sarkisian has made thus far - until that of Stoops - has the persona of being someone who creates positive reinforcement of the players and team. Adding Stoops to the mix changes that.Time will tell if Stoops has learned a more measured approach. And a measured approach is one I’m trying to take while delivering what is likely unwelcome news this morning.
  15. Imagine spending all your political capital on Mike fucking Stoops. Sark pulled a Herman like move with this hire.
  16. You're trying to come off as the “rational one” here and instead, you're just making an ass of yourself. But please, keep fucking that chicken Hank.
  17. @immamac fire up the fucking “Fire Mike Stoops” thread. A special exception to the rule of Surly Law.
