  1. Yep it’s too early for this shit. I know there is a ton of crap on Twitter and it gets posted sometimes. Im not actually calling you out for it, I used it to prove a point.
  2. Where? The Palestine protest thread? There is no "posting it constantly" track record anywhere on Surly.
  3. I'm not throwing shade at either of you guys. Fake shit gets posted sometimes. Just don't throw around the idea of me not being in this community because of "all my fake shit".
  4. You’re talking bout Poncho’s posts now I assume?
  5. I don't think it's very necessary that you attempt a real reply either. We agree.
  6. The :42 clip I posted was shared by Piers Morgan from LEFT leaning Chris Gardner a reporter from the celeb rag The Hollywood Reporter. Left leaning dude. Not doctored. Not a "cheap fake" or manipulated as KJP likes to say. I don't need to get off Twitter. You told several posters over the last month or so that they need to get over the sources of clips. Have you lost that objectivity? I'm not bumping this to rehash whether Joe actually "froze" or not. I'm bringing it up again to show that the source and clip are legit. Here's Chris Gardner's 42 second phone clip from his personal Tweet. Imma is this what you meant when you said I was "pushing a clearly false and debunked narrative"? Poncho the funny thing about a clip from an account that has "no lie" in their title, and that account stating that the clip in question is a lie, mentioning right wing media, and claiming to have the "actual footage", is that you did exactly what Imma accuses me of. You posted a cut and manipulated clip to try and push your point. My clip from LEFT leaning reporter vs. your clip from "No Lie" Brian. Who shared disinformation? Shocked? Poncho you were wondering why I didn't post this. I replied that I had not seen the pic and lets look at the clip. Here's the clip. Are you still wondering why I didn't post the above pic? Imma if you're keeping score, Poncho has two BS tweets on this thread that I know of, and I have ZERO. Imma is Poncho's brain completely rotted? Is he capable of cognitive thought at this point? My twitter feed might be toxic, but is it more toxic than Poncho's I think this rather Bolverkian rant of yours begs the question. Is it about my one post on this thread, or is it also about tweets on the other threads? If pushing "clearly false and debunked narratives" is off limits for me, is it also off limits for Poncho? Where are the clearly false tweets I posted because there aren't any on this thread. If you have any issues with tweets that I post I'm always ready to comply as I have before (volume of daily posts), but this get off Twitter or you wont be a part of this community anymore is a bit much. You're a great mod who tries to treat "the other side" the same as your own, but I think this is not one of your shining moments.

  8. Well That sounds technical but yes I think so. The labels won’t do all the math for you. Twicehorn mentioned glycemic index and also glycemic load.
  9. Yes and no. It will provide information based on your level of understanding. As you go along over the next few months you’ll begin to make an inventory of what you don’t want to see on packaging. A quick scan will suffice. You won’t be reading the whole thing but rather looking for words that stand out. Lots of info out there and it can get pretty rabbit holey. I guess the glycemic index is as good as any place to start and looking at the labels in your own kitchen to begin to strategize your next grocery list. I’m sure there’s an app. Probably too many to choose from. I’d get a book or ebook. Here’s examples of words you’ll be scanning labels for to decide what to avoid. Know which ones you don’t want based on her strategy/plan. Your glycemic index will only be for reference obvs. It’s useless without your personal knowledge of what you don’t want to put in your body. It has commercial sweeteners like above but you’ll also see the differences in actual food items like apple, banana, pear, etc. I would avoid going hardcore low/no carb on your next grocery list. Ease into it as your knowledge grows over the next few weeks and months.
  10. I’m not allowed to reply when I’m mentioned?
  11. I’ve rarely posted here on cr aside from the last few months. Most of my disingenuous bullshit has been on some of the other boards. You’ll find that as you grow as a person that you’re more accepting (aware) of others growth as well. If you’re still stuck on my being disingenuous with my posts over the years maybe it’s because you’re in a bit of a slump personally? Idk
  12. I’ll assume that the test today is A1C and that the doc did a test during the pneumonia to see what glucose levels were which turned up high numbers and that’s why the a1c was ordered. Just a guess. Yes they absolutely should have told her to fast before the first one. dairy has sugars but they’re natural. Processed and unnatural sugars like white sugar are the big ones to avoid. You’ll learn more in the next week of casual googling and YouTubing than you’ll get here in a week. You’ll be the expert really soon. I think the diabetics on surly will have some “tips and tricks” especially when it comes to potential drug choices or not, other strategies, and latest technologies etc that might come in handy, but for the immediate just start your research.
  13. All I said was it’s been two months since the stern interview let’s see how he does during his next sit down interview. What I believe is he’s not the same guy the last six months and maybe not the last two months since that interview. Hardly a reach.
  14. So you can tell by the info whether it’s type 1 or 2, but didn’t offer any dietary basics that op asked for? my post boiled down to general low carb diet advice basically telling op to get educated on carbs, insulin spikes, and glucose.
  15. Type 1 or 2? Trying to cut every carb is not necessary but can be a healthy choice if done correctly. Keep the glucose below a certain level is the goal so avoiding spikes is the main tool to do that. You'll likely be doing this anyway if it's type 1. run out tomorrow and get a glucometer if the doc hasn't already prescribed one he might do it over the phone. Really the only solid information is to educate yourself about carbs, glucose, insulin spikes, etc. Fruit sugars are so low on the list of things to cut out that you should cross that bridge if you come to it. try cut out/educate yourself about: ice cream desert candy gum sugary snacks white breads white pasta white grains etc. white rice white flour Basically move the diet toward meats and veggies. When you enjoy carbs make sure they're the healthy kind. That's where your personal research comes in. *** Try very hard to avoid eating delicious carbs in front of her. You're diet changes now too. grocery shopping, cooking etc. is for her now. You're along for the ride.
  16. Never caught a Red legal or otherwise.
  17. I'm pretty hardcore pro animal. I've even marched for animals. I do still love a big bloody ribeye.
  18. Here's a related PDF link. IDK what the IPC is. It's dated May but I think was released recently. https://www.ipcinfo.org/fileadmin/user_upload/ipcinfo/docs/documents/IPC_Famine_Review_Committee_Report_FEWS_NET_Gaza_4June2024.pdf Those dregs are usually pro Palestine protestors btw.
  19. Isn't there a way to get around the paywall by altering the link? I don't know how to do that.
  20. Recognize truth Imma. My big lulz sarcasm was a dig at how asinine his post was. Why protect him? Do you know how that makes you look?
  21. UN can't find evidence of famine https://www.haaretz.com/middle-east-news/palestinians/2024-06-17/ty-article/.premium/un-panel-says-data-lacking-to-determine-whether-famine-exists-in-northern-gaza/00000190-269a-d2de-af9e-67fa68040000
