  1. For Washington THE PICK: Texas WHY: “I am picking Texas.” - Josh Eaton So, uh do you think we can put Eaton in the calculator or do you think he knows where Washington is going and doesn't want to answer why?
  2. I'd bump Dorbah and Sanders and drop both Lindberg and McClellan. I'd also drop Omeire. I used to be higher on him but after seeing his camp performance and rewatching film I don't think his style will translate well. I'd also bump Thompson, Garth and Mims up. At this point maybe I should just write my own list and see what I come up with.
  3. Still killed Bin Laden and he's still my Chancellor no matter what the fuckwads at the BoR say 😢
  4. I think we should just admit we failed (with an asterisk that if you count the 140 odd pages or however long the thread was on Shag, we passed the 1000 mark long ago) and keep this purely about grad transfers with the occasional hand size digression. Maybe kate if needed for good luck for Braun. 2020 will make it without this artificial nonsense.
  5. Things are escalating from yesterday... https://www.nytimes.com/2019/02/27/world/asia/kashmir-india-pakistan-aircraft.html
  6. Hard to do that when the crisis isn't of your making and can actually negatively affect you beyond a news cycle.
  7. Time to see how he handles the first crisis not of his own making. India Pakistan is heating up real fast
  8. I actually think Jones is #2, though obviously Thompson is #1.
  9. Austin: Billions of dollars of investment from Apple and tens of billions in investment in mobile hardware/chipset technology by Apple, ARM, Qualcomm, Samsung, etc. plus hundreds of billions in general tech related investment by tons of companies and the top engineering/science university in the state (you can look at ARWU, Nature, USNews, THE, QS, etc. and also the list of accomplishments by students and faculty of the school (recent Nobel Prizes, Djikstra (RIP), Dell, etc.)) College Station: Landline to nowhere? I wonder where smart kids see a future?
  10. I hope A&M keeps him. Rather have him play for those clowns than play for OU.
  11. The anals of history can be found on the Shag. Surely this is Surly.
  12. These BigEasy edits have to be three best storyline of surly since it started. Gonna go down in the annals of history.
  13. Meh. I expect them to have the best offense in the country every single year until I'm told otherwise. So long as they don't get a good defensive coach and avoid getting too much defensive talent I am OK.
  14. That was all Sam Darnold. Had nothing to do with Helton. And yeah they both sucked. No one here is denying that.
  15. Helton is way worse than Strong. Strong at least had high levels of success before and was an innovative DC at one point in time. Helton was bad at the time and with hindsight. Strong was decent at the time and was ever so slightly less bad with hindsight. Helton is impressively terrible in ways that continue to blow my mind. But more importantly for us this year, he's flamed out on top recruits this year before the season. This makes life good for us. Ohio State at least had to wait to get Texas guys until 5 games into the season before they could feel good about it
  16. This is so funny to me as a guy that didn't grow up in Texas and wasn't a particularly religious guy (I'd go to the temple maybe once or twice a year at home and haven't gone since I left except when I visit family) and I was just blown away by how many churches there were and how many Christian student groups there were. I think I was invited to like 15 opening events walking down Speedway or West Mall and that was it with me trying to avoid anyone with a piece of paper. No Christian person will have any issues worshiping their God in Austin.
  17. Agreed, hence why I like our place right now
  18. For your first question, I don't think so. I think he'll commit too late for a Malikmas. Though if he gives a silent early and let's people know it's possible. Hell even positive comments to other CA players could be useful. It'll be hard to actually evaluate the impact he has barring an early commitment though. As for your second one, unfortunately, I don't think Stanford will be much trouble for Oregon. We'll see what Auburn does, but not much hope there either.
  19. He was the only one referred to by name with the appellation 'coach' in front of it. Riley got called Lincoln (after butchering it). USC's comment about coaches was just that they were disorganized. Oregon got a coaching staff is really amazing but no one mentioned by name. I like where we are. I see this being a Oregon/Texas battle that we have a pretty good shot at winning barring the two schools he mentioned entering the picture (Georgia, Clemson) causing some actual trouble. That'll be 9.95
  20. This is some primo stuff right here. You've outdone yourself, my dude.
