  1. That's exactly what I was thinking. I can see a 6th round pick of him by the Pats
  2. Yeah the Palo Alto food scene is much better than Menlo Park. But yeah for anyone under 45 Austin is a better city to live if you want food, fun, and a whole lot more.
  3. Most Ty’k of House Carthage*
  4. Eh, while it can slice and dice better than any DE I've seen to date, it has a terrible three cone and shuttle time which leaves me worried about how he'll perform at the next level. What do we know about his hand size?
  5. Of course, but no one cares what they do backstage. On the outside, Disney expects nothing less than perfection.
  6. ‘He is a walking offensive coordinator’: Inside the mind of Carson Beck, rising star quarterback recruit https://theathletic.com/845847/2019/03/01/carson-beck-quarterback-recruit-profile-mandarin-florida/ We're not recruiting him, but it is interesting to see a corch on the field that could actually be a good thing.
  7. Almost certainly a misquote. Kid either meant out of the west coast or or out of the Pac 12, not out of state. Or he just made up the quote altogether, because let's be real the last real sports journalist to cover recruiting was Gerry Hamilton
  8. Holy shit a self aware aggy? I am actually a little kinder than he is. I think he could be a slightly worse version of Boyd as a CB. That being said he could be a pretty good Safety.
  9. Yeah, probably
  10. For Washington THE PICK: Texas WHY: “I am picking Texas.” - Josh Eaton So, uh do you think we can put Eaton in the calculator or do you think he knows where Washington is going and doesn't want to answer why?
  11. I'd bump Dorbah and Sanders and drop both Lindberg and McClellan. I'd also drop Omeire. I used to be higher on him but after seeing his camp performance and rewatching film I don't think his style will translate well. I'd also bump Thompson, Garth and Mims up. At this point maybe I should just write my own list and see what I come up with.
  12. Still killed Bin Laden and he's still my Chancellor no matter what the fuckwads at the BoR say 😢
  13. I think we should just admit we failed (with an asterisk that if you count the 140 odd pages or however long the thread was on Shag, we passed the 1000 mark long ago) and keep this purely about grad transfers with the occasional hand size digression. Maybe kate if needed for good luck for Braun. 2020 will make it without this artificial nonsense.
  14. Things are escalating from yesterday... https://www.nytimes.com/2019/02/27/world/asia/kashmir-india-pakistan-aircraft.html
  15. Hard to do that when the crisis isn't of your making and can actually negatively affect you beyond a news cycle.
  16. Time to see how he handles the first crisis not of his own making. India Pakistan is heating up real fast
  17. I actually think Jones is #2, though obviously Thompson is #1.
  18. Austin: Billions of dollars of investment from Apple and tens of billions in investment in mobile hardware/chipset technology by Apple, ARM, Qualcomm, Samsung, etc. plus hundreds of billions in general tech related investment by tons of companies and the top engineering/science university in the state (you can look at ARWU, Nature, USNews, THE, QS, etc. and also the list of accomplishments by students and faculty of the school (recent Nobel Prizes, Djikstra (RIP), Dell, etc.)) College Station: Landline to nowhere? I wonder where smart kids see a future?
  19. I hope A&M keeps him. Rather have him play for those clowns than play for OU.
  20. The anals of history can be found on the Shag. Surely this is Surly.
  21. These BigEasy edits have to be three best storyline of surly since it started. Gonna go down in the annals of history.
  22. Wait that's pretty good
  23. Meh. I expect them to have the best offense in the country every single year until I'm told otherwise. So long as they don't get a good defensive coach and avoid getting too much defensive talent I am OK.
  24. That was all Sam Darnold. Had nothing to do with Helton. And yeah they both sucked. No one here is denying that.
  25. Helton is way worse than Strong. Strong at least had high levels of success before and was an innovative DC at one point in time. Helton was bad at the time and with hindsight. Strong was decent at the time and was ever so slightly less bad with hindsight. Helton is impressively terrible in ways that continue to blow my mind. But more importantly for us this year, he's flamed out on top recruits this year before the season. This makes life good for us. Ohio State at least had to wait to get Texas guys until 5 games into the season before they could feel good about it
