I think the security guard broke the Russian’s neck against the tire.
  2. So that’s what it’s like to be fucked in the face for 40 minutes.
  3. Picked up a bottle today from Alamo City Liquors ($42) along with a bottle of ECBP C919. Eager to try both after the recommendations here.
  4. There’s a great Mexican breakfast/lunch spot on Stone Oak Pkwy called Vida Mia. The chicken mole chilaquiles are unreal.
  5. I’ve always thought of the ending of the series like this. When Benioff and Weiss were chosen to do the show (back in 2005) I bet they thought the 5th book would be out by the time the last season of the show, so they would only have one or two seasons without source material to draw from. Instead, they ended up doing the last three seasons on their own and we all found out that they’re nowhere near the writer that GRRM is. I wish they had kept their focus on GoT instead of branching out to other projects (which no doubt diluted the quality of the final few seasons), but I suppose in Hollywood you need to strike while the iron is hot since you never know when your days are numbered.
  6. Big’z Burger Joint is about midway between 1604 and I-10 (about 10 minutes west of 1604/281), but they have great burgers and a big lawn area for the kids to run around. FYI, Freetail is a bit further west of Big’z on 1604 and is solid as well.
  7. Longhorn Cafe serves up a mighty fine CFS
  8. Drinking some 1920 right now. Very complex flavor profile, but really enjoyable.
  9. Ah ok. The only one by me is Palenque Grill, so I stand corrected.
  10. They’re two different establishments. Palapas is a quick service location while Palenque is a sit down restaurant. Both are good, but it’s like comparing Five Guys to Chris Madrid’s.
  11. “This move really shows how dynamic Jimbo is as a recruiter. Leon was the greatest safety prospect of all-time and Jimbo was able to land him. Then within two years of landing on campus, the best safety in college football can’t even crack the two-deep in Jimbo’s vaunted secondary. If that’s not real recruiting, I don’t know what is” /Looch
  12. Gonna be in Austin tomorrow morning for a business meeting, but going to stop by Twin Liquors beforehand. Is the Village at Westlake location a pretty good one? Wondering what the selection is like here.
  13. It’s closed down
  14. Received my two bottle of Eagle Rare 10 in the mail today, so I’m excited to crack open one tonight. Also got on a list for some Blanton’s at a nearby store that is supposedly getting some in this week. Hopefully will find a good bottle or two at Twin Liquors for Dollar Days.
  15. Bill Miller brisket bean and cheese breakfast taco is the correct answer.
  16. Would smash the daughter on the far left in his profile pic.
  17. Yeah, shopping around online I’ve since seen Eagle Rare available for as low as $29.99. I haven’t seen Weller 12 available for less than $200.
  18. Blackwell’s Wines and Spirits. I think it’s out of San Francisco (at least that’s what the FedEx shipping label said).
  19. I finally broke down and bought a couple bottles of 750ml Eagle Rare 10 online since I was tired of not being able to find it in the wild. $35 per bottle and then $22 shipping, so not a bad deal if you ask me.
  20. Pretty sure it was just the 4 year variety. Thanks for the price check.
  21. Saw some Willett Family Rye today for $75, but didn’t pull the trigger. Kinda regretting now, but wasn’t sure on the price point. Is $75 about right for it?
  22. Wescott Eberts sock confirmed.
  23. I’m enjoying it so far. Fun story, especially if you’re a gamer of any sort.
