  1. I said calling it three times in a row was moronic. Those goaline plays are all about who owns the LOS, something we didn’t do all game. You absolutely cannot call those same three consecutive plays when your OL has been getting pushed around the majority of the game. Sark went full meathead coach in that moment and it was a major reason why we lost the game
  2. Going with the jumbo package on three consecutive plays was completely moronic. Fine, run it once as a change of pace, but Sark completely took us out of our normal offense on those plays. You can’t have two guys on the field that don’t normally play on that side of the ball in such a crucial moment of the game.
  3. EHTBP Batch 12 dropped at Spec’s in SA today. They put everything on the shelf with no call list. 131.1 proof.
  4. My buddy owns Burger Mojo that has two locations in town. I haven’t had a chance to visit yet, but I’ve read some great reviews on the place. He also owns The Backyard in Northgate which is a pretty popular spot.
  5. Haha thanks for using my pic in your post. The JD BP rye is a great pour. Enjoy!
  6. 13th Colony rye is a banger for around $50.
  7. Great stuff! If you’re an amburana fan you’ll probably also like Bossa Nova, the amburana finished Doc Swinson. I think it’s 5-6 year MGP for like $70. I found a bottle at Total Wine recently and have enjoyed my first few pours.
  8. Anyone looking for a steakhouse recommendation, I’ll throw Gage & Tollner in Brooklyn into the mix. Wife and I did our 10 year anniversary dinner there in June and it was great. Best part of the night was the speakeasy they have upstairs called the Sunken Harbor Club. Very cool themed bar with awesome cocktails.
  9. Nice score at WB Liquors this afternoon.
  10. A buddy of mine went to a corporate gig he played in the spring at Whitewater and he got trashed and was booed offstage. Totally agree with your statement. I never understood why he was so popular for such shitty music.
  11. How many times did @ousux rage quit Tecmo Bowl as a kid after pressing down and B for the 15th straight time?
  12. I travel a decent amount for work so mostly utilize the lounges on my trips back home, not so much on the outbound trip (I’m based in SAT). If I can dip out of my last meeting a few hours early and then hit up the Delta Sky Club or Centurion Lounge to knock back some free beers or cocktails I’m definitely doing it. With security lines at many major airports a crapshoot pretty much each trip, I typically plan on getting to the airport at least two hours early, giving me plenty of time in case there’s a delay. At worst I spend a little more time in the lounge than originally planned. Sky Club is also great because it’s one of the few lounges you can actually utilize after arrival in your destination (not just pre-flight or during connection). This is great if you’re meeting someone at the same airport and their flight arrives a little while after yours (or is delayed) and you have a relaxing space to sit and wait (with aforementioned food and beverages at your disposal).
  13. I was there the past few days and saw it lit up on the 4th. The thing is absolutely wild. The snow globe video was stunning to see in person. I took all of these from the High Roller Wheel, which is about a block or so away.
  14. Lack of lounges is exactly why I dumped the Chase trifecta (CSR, Freedom Flex, Freedom) after many years and switched to AMEX Platinum and Venture X. I read about the ABIA Sapphire lounge and am so glad that I can walk right by it on my way to the Sky Club.
  15. What the fuck is GG looking for there? Jfc
  16. Yeah it showed available at DeZavala too. It let me order it and then they canceled it like 30 minutes later.
  17. Fuck Spec’s. Fuckers just canceled my order of two JD barrel proof ryes at the DeZavala store in SA.
  18. The BiB is their own and pretty good for $50. I’m a fan.
  19. Initial impression. ER17> DEVR thanks to proof. ER17 is 101 while the DEVR we had is from 2019 and is 90 proof. We sampled DEVR, ER17 and regular ER and regular ER took a big step up in my book. You can definitely differentiate between DEVR and regular ER, but not by as much as you’d expect.
  20. Just your regular Monday afternoon pour…
  21. The Rebecca Creek Bottled in Bond is actually pretty damn good for $50. It’s their own juice and I had a sampling of it a few weeks ago at the distillery. There’s a hint of the “Texas funk”, like a mesquite note, but it fades quickly. I’m definitely not a huge fan of Texas whiskey outside of Still Austin and most of RC’s own juice isn’t great, but give the BiB a shot if you’re looking for something new to try.
  22. This stuff is apparently 4 year MGP aged for another 3 years in a toasted barrel.
  23. Do we need to do a Surly Pick of this to show those TexAgs waterheads how a pick should be done? I have a buddy who works for Skip’s who could probably make this happen.
