  1. Yes I'm sure teams are lining up to part with their draft capital in the next 5 days to acquire an unhappy QB playing under the tag who wants to reset the market amidst the backdrop of a pandemic which has put the 2020 NFL season at risk and all but assured that the 2021 salary cap will go down, rather than up. Teams generally love to do business like that with an uncertain economic model over the next few years.
  2. Bring the sports duck back for morning tickers
  3. I'll agree with you that Dak won't be traded. There simply isn't a market for him at all. But he is playing on the tag this year whether he likes it or not.
  4. Danny is out of his element right now. His best contributions to the show are in period comic relief, fun facts that'll take two seconds, early 80s small town hair metal angst, and a couple of halfcourt 3 pointers per show. He was at his best as a driveby contributor with an easy target like idiosyncratic sexagenarian Mike. Bob will provide plenty of similar opportunities for Danny down the road but they've got to get to know one another on air more. But Bob is going to expect more out of him than Mike did behind the scenes.
  5. It wouldn't be if it was funny.
  6. Good grief. You approach finances like every woman I've ever known.
  7. And the argument that "it doesn't matter; with the salary cap going up he'll seem like a bargain." Why do you think Dak and his agents are insisting on a shorter term contract? They're not interested in being a bargain after the new tv deals are negotiated.
  8. My group hasn't been targeted specifically but a couple other meetings I go to have been. My group began using a password this morning as a preemptive measure. Two others I visit once a week also began protecting their meetings this morning. These guys are trolling for unsecured zoom meetings. They're entirely indiscriminate.
  9. Is anybody else's meetings being affected by these zoomshitters? My group now requires a zoom password to join the meeting which eliminates any possibility of newcomers or visitors from another group. How are your groups handling the issue?
  10. Norm and Trey had some dynamite radio chemistry. Should have taken that for a spin for a segment or two.
  11. Well the Salamancas did threaten Mike's family. Lalo also forced Gus's hand and required Mike to kill the German.
  12. By tomorrow morning every single customer logo on Imagenet's website will be flooded with social media posts. By noon I expect HQ to start getting calls from those customers telling Imagenet to take their logo off the website while this is "being dealt with." Taking down their twitter account is a good idea as it will be harder for this to travel virally without a handle to retweet. But it really doesn't matter as it's too late to not have previous posts combed over and this is a story with a cartoon villain that the media will pounce on without mercy. Networks will be all over this tomorrow afternoon. Soundbites will be over the top. Customers will be reviewing the termination provisions in their contracts looking for a way out because being Imagenet's partner will now be a PR disaster and the only way to deal with it is to explain that you took immediate action to separate yourself from a vendor who does not share your values. Heads will roll and an employee centric Hail Mary will be thrown by the company to attempt to show that they really do care about their people. But it probably won't matter. @Pokoloco was right to keep the name of the company private. But now that it's out a lot more people will probably lose their jobs. And that fucking sucks. I sincerely hope I'm wrong.
  13. I'm sorry to say that I think you're right. I hope you get through this. Twitter account @BMI_Imagenet has vanished.
  14. Are you basing this on the reddit speculation that it is Conduent or has this been confirmed elsewhere? Because if it is a major corporation like Conduent, that doesn't jibe with @Pokoloco's post that this is a family owned business. Or maybe more than one company had the same terrible idea. Regardless, I could easily believe that it is Conduent. A company with zero prospects, minimal capital, multiple restructurings, and constant executive turnover.
  15. Monty couldn't be the producer. He does other things.
  16. The Cowboys throw the ball 60% of offensive snaps. They generate 69% of their offense throwing the ball. The NFL is a passing league and you don't think WR is a critical position to commit salary cap dollars to? Agree to disagree.
  17. You actually think it was cheaper to wait 18 months and let Cooper get to free agency than to extend him after the trade? Are you Mickey Spagnola and is there any personnel move the Cowboys make that you won't alibi for?
  18. There are 1,000 defensive snaps in a season. Anyone saying this is no big loss is a simpleton that evaluates DB play strictly by how many INTs ESPN stats reports.
  19. The mandatory fines apply for those players on their second contract. Players would also lose an accrued season towards free agency much faster. So the new CBA wouldn't have prevented Zeke's holdout last year but damn sure would have for Hopkins. There is supposed to be latitude for players still on their rookie deals.
  20. The players just gave away their holdout leverage in the latest CBA. Not only do the fines increase for holding out, but the fines cannot be waived by the team once the player reports to camp.
