  1. dude they can just kickoff from 10 yards farther back and it will be the exact same
  2. To be fair, hes never had an interim coach lead a team to a top 10 finish. This situation isnt the same as hiring RT from the outside to be hc.
  3. Chill out dude. I was saying ATM's claims are different from what he wrote. He wrote that ATM is drawing the line between 12th man and 12th man plus. What they're actually claiming is that 12th man is separate from ATM but that 12th man plus is part of 12th man. I'm not saying their claims are true.
  4. Slightly different. Aggy claims 12th Man Foundation is independent from the university. They admit 12th Man+ operates under the 12th Man Foundation.
  5. Lol “Texas A&M notified the NCAA that an NIL-related announcement was upcoming,” NCAA spokeswoman Meghan Durham says. “However, the NCAA did not review or approve any concept prior to the announcement.”
  6. They claim they can do this bc they aren't housed under the athletic department and just have an "affiliation agreement" with the university. Seems like a bs distinction but it's all semantics anyway. They also claim they cleared it with the NCAA ahead of time. If they do get away with it, seems like a big advantage for them since people are used to giving money to them and it counts towards seat points.
  7. I'd be really surprised by Harsin considering his history here and how he exited Auburn. Agree on Fuente and that GP connection makes it at least somewhat more believable. That's an interesting one. Kind of sounds like he's done coaching but maybe joining with his son in a more laidback gig would change that.
  8. Brainstorming just for fun, some other offense big names without a job: Scott Frost, Bryan Harsin (lol), David Shaw (somehow might be landing Broncos job), Cutcliffe, Kliff (no chance), Karl Dorrell if he counts. I would've had Clay Helton at the top of the list (Sark's former OC and from Houston) but apparently he's the HC at Georgia St. edit: Justin Fuente is another one. Was at TCU for a while with GP
  9. Scott Frost incoming! Kind of wild that Hooks has gotten himself into a position to be recommending WR coaches to UT. I did wonder if he'd be considered but he content with his current situation. Probably a lot less stressful..
  10. Jeez, that's a heck of a resume for Henry. Very different from "1 year as Jags WR coach" Anyone know what the Jackson connection with Hooks is? Just curious.
  11. Moore looks pretty big. And apparently he can adjust to the ball..mind blown
  12. Am I the only one not immediately writing AD starting in ink? The dude has like 600 career yards, only 20 ypg the last three games of this season. I won't be surprised if Neyor starts over him. Also don't think Holmes is likely to start. He'd have to beat Brooks (and MM). With that said, yes these 4 portal takes do seem very good.
  13. Bitch ass Lincoln better not interject here like he did with that OSU LB that ATM had tampered into the portal
  14. Idk the exact rules but I don't think he'd be allowed bc of Vasek/Burke from Westlake.
  15. Any idea who this is? Dodge? Cutcliffe? Sean McVay stepping away after all and bringing Kliff plus gf with him?
  16. When the guy has one total year of coaching and none in college? Look, Jackson could end up being the best WR coach ever. He just doesn't have any track record to judge one way or another, which seems like a silly risk if you can get someone who's proven to be good.
  17. Jackson seems like a bizarre fucking hire. Basically no track record. Adam Henry, on the other hand, has a great resume. I do agree with Gerry that "recruiting skills" are probably a lot less important in the NIL era. I want someone who can coach.
  18. Adam Henry has a nice resume. That's a very interesting one. From Beaumont originally. Bummer that Colbert and Wiggins are out. Probably my top two choices. Still strange that Kelly hasn't even been mentioned.
  19. If tweeting at recruits is bad, what's the view on asking recruits for text screenshots with coaches then posting them and tagging the recruit? Sheesh that Doc guy needs to take a break
  20. Traylor voted UTSA 19 and left us out of the top 25. Would love to hear the logic on that one.
  21. Intriguing. Iirc they didn't post this last year until they had an agreement with Gary. I can only assume this means Sean McVay is joining the staff. And/or Kliff. More seriously, sounds like maybe Riley Dodge. Or maybe he circled back to Cutcliffe with Arch on board?
  22. In two years with sark, the guy produced a Heisman and 4 first round picks. Then another 1st rounder and Metchie the year after. His WR room had one down year, I'll still take my chances on him. NIL can do the recruiting for him. My only concern is the mass exodus of Bama WRs this past month. Maybe they were processed but sorta seems like he lost the room..
  23. So does anyone know why the hire would be Justin Johnson? Seems very random. Baylor RB coach with only 1 year of WR coaching experience (at Kansas)? I don't get it. Kelly, Wiggins, Colbert would be my top choices.
  24. My guess for Kliff in order of likelihood: 1. TV gig 2. Take a year off 3. NFL OC 4. College job, likely Bama or in a big city like USC or Miami
