  1. I mean sheesh, that Ole Miss kicker looked like Brandon Aubrey last night. Not even joking.
  2. Money is finite. Of course Coleman is an upgrade but the trade-off isn't only between WRs. Would you rather have Coleman and 3 scrub iOLs or get a productive WR like Jayce Brown and 3 All-Conference iOLs? Obviously that's a hypothetical but it's how everyone needs to think about these things. If the money is there for all of the above, then yeah go get him. If not, tough choices need to be made and it's not a lot more nuanced than some of you are saying.
  3. Damn that sucks. I was excited about that one. OTF saying he was #4 on Texas' board though, I think including some who haven't announced yet
  4. That's a little surprising considering nickel (ie Littleton) was one of the bright spots of the defense this year
  5. Both can be true - Coleman has way better ball skills than Wingo (downfield, 50/50 balls, etc) but is also prone to easy drops. The stats I reflected, and the eye test, point to both of those things. Like CTJ said, no one with a brain is saying we don't want him, just that his pedestal might be a little high on here.
  6. NashTalksTexas on X pointed out some interesting stats re: Coleman. Coleman had 1 fewer drop than Wingo on 5 fewer catchable balls. So pretty similar rate. Coleman had lower YAC and yards per route run. But Coleman significantly more air yards. Lines up with what CTJ has been saying about Coleman not being some drastic improvement. Idk how they compare last year.
  7. OTF speculating Livingstone to Indiana. Cignetti approved?
  8. Yeah how was that guy a semi-finalist? That % isn't that great. On a related note, watching that Ole Miss kicker last night was amazing. That dude had 3 kicks that would've been good from 65-70. What a weapon.
  9. Arch's roommate leaving? Dayum. Arch is going to have to make new friends on the team.
  10. Or maybe a boomerang back to LSU with the coaching changes there?
  11. My point was that his production hasn't just been from a couple games. It has been consistently good against pretty much anyone they played over two seasons. In 22 career games, he's been over 5ypc in 18 of them (8 this year). By comparison, Wisner and Baxter had 3 such games combined this year (including Baxter's 1 carry for 6 yards vs UTEP). Is Louisville's schedule the toughest? No. But you could say the same or more for Smothers and Hawkins. The bigger yellow flag to me is that Louisville's other backs have been extremely productive too. That points to a damn good run scheme that probably makes all of them look better than they might actually be. And I assume he isn't a great short-yardage option either. As for any injury/vaginal issues, I won't claim to know one way or the other. That would not be ideal if true but could still be ok as part of a two-headed attack.
  12. Lol so the various 9.95ers are hinting at getting Baugh, Brown, and Coleman? The sunshine is flowing
  13. Sure doesn't seem like they're doing enough of this. Not only the drops but 50/50 balls are more like 10/90 with Texas WRs this year. It's been driving me crazy watching the WRs from Indiana and other CFP teams routinely make those difficult catches. Mosely is the only one with ball skills this year (maybe Lockett, TBD). Last year Golden had them and Bond was ok. edit: probably worth adding that a lot of this is stuff the players can practice on their own. Get a GA or walkon and have them feed you balls. I wonder how much time these guys are spending on it outside of mandatory practice.
  14. Imo Baugh + Brown would be the absolute dream combo. It sounds too good/expensive to be true but Bobby is very much hinting that it could happen:
  15. I didn't watch any Louisville games so full disclaimer there, but Brown averaged >5ypc every game except one (Pitt) this year. Keyjuan Brown was their next highest carrier (5 fewer than Isaac) and he also had an impressive 7.3 ypc. He also averaged 7 ypc last year as a true freshman on 165 carries with only 3 games <5 ypc (and in two of those he only had 2 and 3 carries). 7.6 and 150 yards vs Clemson, 6.8 and 178 vs Kentucky, 117 vs SMU. Again, I won't claim to be an expert but the numbers don't look like feeding off junk food to me.
  16. Liked seeing Lockett's TD catch. He might actually be a guy who can win 50/50 balls for once
  17. Idk run blocking has been good this game. Pass blocking meh. And it looked like the OL and Sark were arguing Michigan clapped on the early snap.
  18. Don't leave Mccutcheon out of the fun
  19. Livingstone has 2 drops this half. I do think Wingo is significantly better than him but yeah he's nowhere near Jeremiah Smith. Let's see some Kaliq Lockett in 2H with Mosely out
  20. On that early snap, it looked like the UT players and Sark were arguing that Michigan was clapping which caused the center to snap it
  21. sheesh these WRs are so bad at catching footballs. Drop 4 of the half
  22. I mean Huff could've already been leaked anytime
  23. Someone who's never been a position coach would be less than exciting but I guess Muschamp could still be heavily involved himself
