Texas Recruiting Notes 2025: Duck Around and Find Out
WSJ has an article today about the Ellisons and Bryce Underwood recruitment. They had direct calls with him and his fam. And Tom Brady started calling him multiple times a week. Crazy world.

FINAL 2024 CFB polls/rankings - Texas #3/ #4 /#3 (CFP/AP/Coaches)
All this seeding preference stuff has too many variables right now. Clemson beating SMU would throw a pretty big wrench into it. Boise would be the 3 seed and you'd have an SMU-Bama battle for the last spot. Do they punish SMU for a CCG loss? So the 6 seed could end up playing SMU then Boise, which is a better path than the 5 seed who would have Big 12 and Clemson. If UT loses, it's a battle with tOSU and ND for seeding. Again, does UT get punished for a CCG? And an Oregon loss would probably put them in the 5 spot.

This. He could still end up good but there's no reason to have only 1 scholarship-level punter on the roster anymore.- Texas Recruiting Notes 2025: Duck Around and Find Out
What's the story on lack of involvement with Ty Haywood? Denton Ryan has been a good pipeline for UT and sounds like he might be flipping to Michigan- Texas Recruiting Notes 2025: Duck Around and Find Out
It's hard for me to get upset about decommits in the NIL era when it means that money can be redeployed elsewhere, often ending up pretty net neutral- NFL Week 13; Thanksgiving-style
wtf happened to Justin Tucker this season?- FINAL 2024 CFB polls/rankings - Texas #3/ #4 /#3 (CFP/AP/Coaches)
I'm very curious to see how the committee treats CCG losses when seeding. Like would Texas or PSU drop below ND who doesn't have to play one? Seems dumb if so, but I bet they would. If so, making the CCG and losing is 100% worse than not making it at all. Not only for seeding but also because you get one fewer week off to rest up and heal.- Transfer Cycle 2024-2025 - Stop Being Poor
Looks like negotiations are beginning lol- 2024 Postseason Awards Discussion
Anyone have a list of Thorpe voters we can campaign on X? I know never tweet at croots but tweeting at sportswriters seems like fair game- 2024 Postseason Awards Discussion
So the finalists we have are: Banks for Outland and Lombardi Barron for Thorpe and Nagurski How are we feeling about them?- Transfer Cycle 2024-2025 - Stop Being Poor
Idk who leaves but my needs list would be 3 DTs, 1 S, 1-2 WRs (depending on Golden decision), and 1 OT (the inexperience there is scary, and then imagine someone getting hurt) Neto at LG right? And Hutson gotta factor in somehow. Maybe he goes to LG or C- Maalik Murphy unfucked Duke, works his next miracle at Oregon State
Ironic given the thread title. Also awesome. Go Maalik- Texas Recruiting Notes 2025: Duck Around and Find Out
Idk why but Matt Miller has always been a big Texas honk. Take his mock with a grain of salt although most mocks I see do have Banks, Cam and Bond going 1st.- Texas Recruiting Notes 2025: Duck Around and Find Out
I assume they have some newfound budget space because of the Husan Longstreet flip to USC- Transfer Cycle 2024-2025 - Stop Being Poor
Why do you assume Golden is gone? Serious question. The only thing I've seen online is like 6th round projection which would often mean a return imo- Negative Recruiting Your Own School: The aggy Screenshot Megathread
Clearly this hurts if you're ATM but their handwringing is a little silly tbh. No duh a Socal kid wants to stay home at USC and play for QB guru Lincoln Riley instead of shipping off for Texas and a bunch of coaches with zero NFL QB products.- Texas Recruiting Notes 2025: Duck Around and Find Out
Wonder what a HS WR like Ffrench costs compared to a portal guy like Bond or Golden. At some point recruiting HS WRs may not be all that worth it- Texas vs. Arkansas - 11:00am on ABC

Who is Jahdae's main competition for the Thorpe? Travis Hunter? Hard to believe there's anyone playing better at DB- Quinn "La Joya" Ewers - The Man The Myth The Mullet, Now Starting for the Miami Dolphins
Quinn wasn't available during player media availability today despite the big performance Saturday. Probably not a coincidence lol- Quinn "La Joya" Ewers - The Man The Myth The Mullet, Now Starting for the Miami Dolphins
Real or not, QE is going to have a not-so-happy gf to deal with this week..- 2024 Houston Texans Season Thread
Texans OL coach should've been fired weeks ago. Regression across the board, must be leading the league in OL penalties, can't run block or pass protect. Now you get a guy stripping the ball from his own QB. I laughed out loud at the stupidity. All this for an OL with 1st/2nd rounders all over and tons of money invested in it- NIL Recruiting News Megathread
Maybe wrong thread but Diego Pavia is suing the NCAA over eligibility rules. Part of the suit is about JUCO treatment but there's also a piece relating to the 4-year limit that I'm not clear on. Is this the beginning of the end for the 4-year eligibility rule in CFB? - Texas Recruiting Notes 2025: Duck Around and Find Out
