2024 Transfer Thread - The Pedantic Circlejerk
Michigan prob promotes Sherrone Moore and I bet they don't have many transfers. Regarding McMillan and others - some of y'all forget that money isn't unlimited and that each transfer we get takes chances away from young guys on the roster already. I'd love to see us get a TE and a DT but otherwise I'd be done in the portal. Maybe another safety and a "free" punter in case the freshman shits the bed.

Official Coach Sark Thread of Dominance—haters back off
I would guess $9-10mm per year which is probably fair, I just hope we don't do some stupid full guarantee shit. And also we should raise his buyout.

Deserved a raise but I hope we didn't get swindled into some sort of dumb Jimbo / Mel Tucker extension based on one successful year

One of his sons plays for Vandy now right? Wonder if he moves to some cush, relaxed job there at some point. I assume any role there is basically an early retirement lol

Agreed. ATM should've tried to hire Lane for sure except the personality mismatch was way too high. Imo Lane has as good of a resume as anyone for a top tier job at this point. Getting Ole Miss to consistent top 10/15 through multiple QB cycles, staff turnover, etc, is very impressive.

Lane is hilarious. I get why he may rub some grey hairs the wrong way but he's basically the closest thing we have to the GOAT Mike Leach now from a personality standpoint.

He isn't. He also said he will have an office there.

Maybe he's lying but Saban told Rece Davis that he decided to retire 5 minutes before his meeting with the team

No inside info but I doubt they'd take another transfer. Not enough targets to go around. They'd prob happily take Williams though.

Yeah for some reason college tends to pay coaches more than NFL. I think Dan Campbell has similar to Ryans and he turned down his alma mater ATM. I think a lot of guys just want to be in the big leagues and don't want to deal with recruiting, so are willing to take less to be there. Can't blame them.

I'm actually pretty proud of the fact that UT gave Sark a very sane contract the first time around. Less than Kansas! He's earned a raise but hopefully they don't go the Jimbo/Mel Tucker route

How could anyone possible be against hiring Coach O? Worth it for the entertainment value alone

I would be very surprised if Michigan went external for a Harbaugh replacement (if he leaves). My money would be heavily on Moore or Minter.

I don't see why Kelly would leave LSU for Oregon. Hard to recruit there even with Nike money
