  1. Supposedly hurt himself riding a scooter but seems like he's healed now. Agreed
  2. Yeah you gotta wonder what the team thinks if this is true. Last week JT Sanders told a reporter he thought Quinn was ready to go. Quinn was "available" vs WVU per Sark and took the 2nd string reps in warmups, so it seems like he would've come in if Hud got hurt. To be fair on the culture stuff, Quinn may actually want to play. His parents may have a different idea.
  3. sigh...sadly not surprised to hear this based on clues from the last couple weeks. We can't have nice things even when we have nice things.
  4. Funny to see the Surly overreaction go the other direction for once. A lot of overconfidence here especially if Gabriel plays. We should win but OU is gonna bring their A game and anything can happen in rivalry games. They still have plenty of talent out there.
  5. Not surprised to hear this at all. NFL free agents follow the money, we should expect college recruits/transfers to do the same going forward.
  6. Yeah the difference between Young>Milroe is a lot bigger than the difference between Max>King. Evens the playing field a little bit, not to mention it just lowers the scoring overall (as evidenced by that O/U of only 47). That said, my guess is Bryce gives it a go. Saban said AC sprain, which is supposedly a "shoot it up and go" type injury, and that it's not serious. He stayed on the sideline with his helmet on against arky. Bet they'll give him a few days to rest, shoot it up for gameday. Who knows how much it'll affect him though.
  7. Probably not but Venables seems like the type to say fuck it so who knows
  8. So Sark said Ewers was "available" yesterday. Has he said that in previous weeks? Wondering if that means anything or just more misdirection
  9. Bryce Young might be out. Our line could swing a lot based on both Ewers and Gabriel status
  10. Roach has a thread on Cook if anyone has it
  11. I read something that SC injuries can be legit health concerns because it's near the heart. Not sure how true, but that would warrant a conservative approach
  12. OUs defense looks comically bad. They aren't coming within 5 yards of the runners or WRs for TCU
  13. We shall see. Long season ahead. The defense has definitely improved so far and the Tech outcome is skewed by the 4th downs. The yards per play stats were still quite good in that game. I won't be surprised if the defense ends up having a solid year.
  14. Yep. Only way Sark gets fired is a 3-win season. Maybe 4. Otherwise gotta give him next year with Ewers, the more experienced stud OLs, and Worthy/Neyor back. Especially with the Ewers injury (somewhat legit) excuse.
  15. I'll be honest, I'm actually less worried about the defense than I am about overall 2nd half performance. In Sark's 9 losses, 5 had halftime leads (1 tied - Bama). On the flip side, no halftime comeback wins. Easy to blame the defense but if the offense doesn't go limp in 2H, we still beat OU and OSU last year plus now Tech.
  16. He's been planning to take these visits the whole time. It's a bidding war.
  17. Quinn was Muschamp's DC at Florida for a while
  18. I thought the sequence was Muschamp, Lanning, Dan Quinn, then PK. Maybe Odom in there somewhere too
  19. Wasn't Arnett the guy that interviewed at LSU or somewhere else and supposedly had an all-time terrible interview?
  20. Yep, sounds like our staff/boosters better have their heads on a swivel
  21. Lol c'mon, I'm not buying that at all
  22. JT needs to work on his blocking too. He whiffed on the Bijan fumble and several other plays
  23. 1. Offense played well enough to win, but they still get some blame for the 2nd half. 1 more TD or even just keeping the defense off the field longer would have been enough. 2. Yep. Pass pro is better than I expected though, run blocking way worse, but the youth is a big part of that. Bright future still. Wonder if we see Devon Campbell soon bc Hutson seems like the weakest link right now just by naked eye. 5. Exactly. Tech chose a high risk strategy and it worked out for them. That strategy could've easily led to a blowout win for us. The one caveat imo is that the defense allowed them to set up a bunch of makeable 4th downs. A lot of 4th and 2/3/4s from around midfield. This is surprising to read. Felt like we were too conservative watching it live. But I haven't broken it down.
