  1. Where did you see this / is it legit? Also, sucks for the kid that it got leaked a day before his big reveal. In fact, probably not a bad idea to delete your post..
  2. Yeah bold move by Flores suing before other teams fill their spot. He probably would've gotten one but people usually don't like hiring people that are actively suing them (the NFL = the owners). Also, he's gonna need a lot more evidence than texts from BB thinking the Giants wanted Daboll before conducting other interviews. Defense attorney can explain that away pretty easily ("BB was misinformed" "Daboll was the leader but nothing was decided until after the Flores interview" blah blah blah). But yeah, welcome Josh McCown to Houston I guess ugh.
  3. Yeah they should make that padding white though Also the chinstrap needs to be white (the part that comes across the helmet at least)
  4. Yeah #2 seems most plausible. Although I think I remember reading they won't move the rec. No idea how physically difficult it is to move that mechanical stuff. Could be impossible. I know swim center has sentimental value but honestly that otherwise seems like an easy candidate to move over by Disch Falk. You can frame it as giving the swim team brand new digs. Not sure those parking lots alone are enough space. Plus you gotta still have some parking for a presidential library. Almost seems like they'd have to get Elon to tunnel that section of Red River and build over it lol. We'll probably end up with the indoor facility where social work is and keep the outdoor fields where they are now.
  5. Based on my amateur Google map skills, I really only see 3 decent places assuming you want the outdoor fields adjacent. None are easy: 1. Replace Mike Myers stadium. But then you have to find somewhere for that with the same problem. 2. Move the school of social work AND either the Rec, those mechanical buildings south of Moody, or Jamail swim center. 3. Across the street north of Mike Myers. Would mean building over that police building (seems doable), a good chunk of LBJ lawn (tough), the southern section of whatever that classroom building is (idk), and some parking lots (easy). Also a pretty solid hill right there, would require some serious leveling.
  6. Yeah $20mm isn't enough to fund a new indoor practice field alone, much less the bball/rowing stuff too. Money won't be a problem though. Open land for it, ideally also fitting 2-3 outdoor fields, is the tougher part.
  7. DTs do not reach top speed very often. Quickness>>top speed.
  8. He ran a 10.7 100m at 200lbs in high school. And if he kept working out, playing football doesn't matter for this. Neyor more surprising though. 200+ lbs and supposedly 4.4 guy. He's got 20 lbs on Washington so this chart would imply he's significantly slower than Washington (again, if he was even around for this. My guess is he wasn't)
  9. Surprised to not see Neyor or Blue up there. Maybe Neyor wasn’t here yet for these measurements though
  10. "Working" in his Ugg slippers lol Would this be a player-led optional thing or do they have formal workouts on weekends?
  11. I still don't believe the Wisco stuff. It's gotta be USC
  12. This is true, thankfully I dont think any of the Walton's are really rabid hogs. On that note, the sooner we come to grips with Elon Musk not giving a single fuck about Longhorns football, (or sports in general afaik) and likely the same for Michael Dell...the less delusional we'll be. It will take a collective of deep pockets to compete if the ultra wealthy decide to back a single rival school. Elon def doesn't give a shit. That was a joke. Unless he seriously just uses it as a way to fuck with people bc he seems to like doing that. Dell also not too likely but he does give a lot of money to UT and did just become an owner in the Spurs. He won't go full Phil Knight but not crazy to think he could contribute some.
  13. Fong on a podcast today (posted on 247): Campbell "a Texas lock" Perkins - basically no clue but talks up LSU a bit Matthews - Matthews told him A&M led in the fall, but now could Fong could see it being any one of A&M, LSU, Florida Shemar Stewart - thinks A&M leads but Miami gets the last visit so could change
  14. People were worrying about this on 247 earlier. Both Roach and Nick Harris repeated multiple times that they still have strong confidence in UT. Roach is going to his NSD announcement too.
  15. Mike Farrell said that Engram is a long-time family friend of the Williams. Makes at least a little sense now
  16. Man I'm still surprised OK St pulled that one off. Mason has a good track record, still wonder what tf happened to make him leave Auburn
  17. Walmart is a public company and can't be directly pouring millions of dollars into one school's sports with no real ROI. The Waltons however can do whatever they want with their own wealth. Michael Dell would be UT's closest equivalent. Or maybe Elon decides he wants to fuck with people and support UT lol. The biggest variable is how much these people care though. The Waltons could throw in $1mm a year bc it's chump change but they don't really care about Arky sports, while the Double Eagle bros at Tech could put in $20mm a year bc they're desperate. We're talking monopoly money for these people, so it's really just about who wants to play the game.
  18. This is the wildest part of the new NIL landscape. If they really care enough, one billionaire can put any random school on the same level as a UT, A&M, etc.
  19. Bold strategy targeting the state of Georgia right after UGA wins a championship. I'm sure that will be highly productive!
