Texas vs. #1 Alabama
Did some Googling on potential Ewers injury. Assuming the term "sprain" was accurate, it sounds like an AC sprain is the most likely injury and a fairly common one in football. SC sprain sounds pretty rare and supposedly the Ewers play was a classic AC injury type of hit. I didn't read a ton but the examples I saw for NFL players with AC sprains had them missing very little time (most 0-1 game). Kyler sprained his throwing AC and didn't miss time. Tom Brady sprained his non-throwing one, didn't miss time. Justin Jefferson (WR) didn't miss time. Odell Beckham had a Grade 3 one last year, left the game "shrieking in pain", still played the next week. Mccafrey had an "AC joint separation" and missed at least 2 games (maybe 3, not clear). Will Rogers (Miss St) sprained his throwing AC joint against Bama last year and actually finished the game. Of course, I have no idea severity or if that is indeed what QE has. But I did sleep at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

Texas vs. #1 Alabama
Kind of cool to see so many players Tweeting out how much they love the team, longhorn nation, etc right now. Can't remember seeing something like that after a loss. Also - sounds like we had a great crowd. Will Anderson said craziest he's ever played in. Love to hear it. Good job fans.

Official Coach Sark Thread of Dominance—haters back off
Yeah I was very encouraged by the playcalling while Ewers was in. I know it's what he's known for, but it's still great to see Sark and Ewers execute like that. That's what makes the Ewers injury so heartbreaking (if he misses much time) - we finally saw a glimpse of the offense we've been expecting to see and now it's potentially snatched from us for now. Hate to be that guy but next year is gonna be scary with the extra OL experience, Worthy and Neyor back, and Sanders. Bijan will be missed but still.. Like you said though, the defense was the biggest revelation today. Let's give PK some credit too, he's still the one calling those plays.

Texas vs. #1 Alabama
Yeah who knows. I assume the xrays came back negative for a break though which seems like good news. QE 2 earlier in the week. QE 3 today. Sigh...

Texas vs. #1 Alabama
All we know is it's a "clavicle sprain" whatever that means. And yes, it's his non-throwing shoulder. Fwiw though, Drew Brees agrees with you if it's an AC separation lol

Texas vs. #1 Alabama
It hasn't been talked about much but our one big weakness today was the running game. Bijan was getting contact at the LOS every time. Sark's offense works so much better with a running game threat.

Texas vs. #1 Alabama
Interesting comment form Sark in his presser - he said the game plan didn't change when Quinn got hurt, but it DID change when Card got hurt and couldn't move around.

Texas vs. #1 Alabama
Had to help. Major eye opener for defensive recruits and the offense looked great until QE got hurt.

Texas Recruiting Notes 2023: Strippers, Monkeys, and 5-Stars
Maybe. It wasn't any better with Ewers in but Bama may have had to back off more later with Ewers carving them up. Who knows.

Texas vs. #1 Alabama
Yeah looks like Anderson blocked it. Agree with you, Auburn exceeded expectations. That 49-yarder at the end was clutch. Trejo did ok too. Mostly short but unreturnable punts, one booming one.

Texas Recruiting Notes 2023: Strippers, Monkeys, and 5-Stars
Dude, the DL played a hell of a game. Biggest weakness today was easily the run blocking. Bijan got hit at the LOS every damn time.

Texas Recruiting Notes 2023: Strippers, Monkeys, and 5-Stars
Obviously a win would have been huge but that was still a good game for recruiting. Offense looked great until Quinn got hurt which is an easy thing to point out. Defense looked shockingly good. Easy to sell the trajectory based off this one.

Texas vs. #1 Alabama
Man what a game. So many moments that could've turned it our way - the early Worthy dropped TD, Jamison's dropped INT, Watts missed sack (and the non-holding on that play), the missed FG, the safety that wasn't called, the facemask that wasn't called...unbelievable. And that's without even mentioning the Ewers injury. I'm still shocked by A) how good Ewers looked before he got hurt. Looked like a superstar already. and B) how good the defense looked. Night and day vs last year. If you had told me before the game we'd lose by 1, I'd have taken it all day. But damn, we should've won that game.

Looks like there's an On3 article about MM planning OVs to Bama and ATM. I'm not a subscriber but the ATM site's headline says he's in daily contact with ritz bitz. Sure would be nice if we could get these top commits to actually shut it down. Baxter and Derek Williams planning some visits too.

2022 Transfer WR Agiye Hall
I watched a couple interviews with him a while back and he did seem like a pretty smart kid

Did Sark actually say this? what was the context if so?

Concession of SEC to aggy
Bjork has to be the least popular person in the SEC by now right? Between the Freeze era at Ole Miss, his media stunt leaking TX/OU, the historic cheating ATM has pulled in recruiting, and now his continued public campaigning for shit. Plus any private objections he's been pushing

TEXAS QB TALK
I don't see anything about completions off target on there. I think he's just getting dinged a lot for the 2 interceptable balls on such a small sample size, along with the poor deep accuracy. Side note but I'm assuming TTT is time to throw? Look at the 2021 difference between Card and Casey

ULM Warhawks @ Longhorns 7PM on LHN - The Mullet Hath Arriveth
What's the deal with Braydon Liebrock? Is he hurt? Haven't heard anything about him and saw a picture of him on the sideline in his jersey but no pads.

2022 Transfer WR Agiye Hall
Also, hands and route running can be improved much more easily than athleticism. IF the guy puts in the work. But yeah, his potential impact is probably more next year than this one.

Fwiw. Not sure How DMo could be 12th best

ULM Warhawks @ Longhorns 7PM on LHN - The Mullet Hath Arriveth
That's what I would think, his comment just seemed odd. So someone at Bama definitely ratted him out just in time for our game right?

ULM Warhawks @ Longhorns 7PM on LHN - The Mullet Hath Arriveth
Quinn looked like he had some jitters obviously on the first drive, but even afterwards, which is understandable. Had happy feet a few times, processing seemed a bit slow, a lot of checkdowns. But the offense did move the chains consistently. Ultimately everyone needs to temper their short-term expectations - this is basically a true freshman, patience required. WRs were surprisingly quiet. Idk how much of that was the vanilla gameplan, Quinn, or them just not getting open. At least they caught everything they should've. Helm got beat a few times in pass pro. Otherwise TEs were good. Yes it's ULM but the run D looked better than any game last year. Pass coverage was ok, not great imo. Kicking game is gonna be rough. Stone was ok on KOs but we'll be tested by teams who don't fair catch everything. At least sideshow made his only doable FG attempt. Not too worried about FG holding either - just let Card do it. I was surprised Pearson didn't punt again after his screwup on his first/only one. Needs the reps, wonder if he got hurt. Worthy is gonna cause some heart attacks in the return game. He had multiple potential wtf moments but also big returns*. I still think it's dumb having him back there risking injury. * although I think a ULM guy had touched the ball on the one where he scooped it up right in front of the defenders, which would mean no risk in going for it. Smart move if so except the refs didn't seem to see that on the field bc it was so close.
