  1. Rod Wright hired as the DL coach at Miami Also I missed it before but Frank Okam is the new DL coach for the Raiders Good for those guys and good for us to have on the radar if Bo ever leaves
  2. In some situations, coaches dislike bubbles bc the soft structure limits where you can put cameras for different angles and analytics on practice. With a fixed structure, you can put that stuff anywhere and everywhere. idk if our bubble has that issue but it might
  3. Aggy mods also thought McKinley Jackson was gone. Instead he got a 2-game slap on the wrist. We shall see.
  4. He then posted "not transferring" with the facepalm emoji
  5. SIAP but just saw on 247 that his dad played DE at UT. This does not seem like a recruitment we should lose..

Yeah I get the reason for separating football and agree that it's a good idea for the reasons you outlined. Just Seems like there could've been a middle ground where they still split the donations but set individual prices for bball based on your length of support or something, instead of just saying "here's the price for everyone, deal with it." Like give x% discount at whichever ticket level you choose based on your years of bball ticketholding. Here the other annoying part - someone who jumped on the football train 5 years ago might have already built up more "loyalty points" than a 30 year bball ticket holder bc it's all based on money. Up until now, the bball guy has held onto their tickets bc of actual loyalty. Now, that football guy can just throw in an extra $2300 (still chump change for a lot of those dudes) and immediately leapfrog the bball guy. 3/4ths students is also a surprising move. Great for the atmosphere but very un-UT passing up all that money

Not sure but I think there's an upper deck that isn't shown on that map, so those are all lower level. But either way agree with your point - $2300 for top of the lower level isn't gonna hold up

So now that they're splitting the football and bball donations, does that mean you still have to donate the same amount to keep your football tickets but have to add a new donation to get bball tickets? Or will the required football donation be reduced to account for splitting out bball? Assuming the former, sucks for those of us who have loyally supported/attended both for decades and made a donation intended for both.
  9. Are you sure they're separating bball and football? I thought they were just re-prioritizing based on over priority points. Which means a large football donor would now jump over long-time diehard bball supporters who have held onto their seats for 20 years without ever having to shell out big bucks
  10. Can't win shooting 28% with 14 TOs. Tech presence in the crowd is a bit embarassing. Beard gonna be pissed about that
  11. We're shooting 24% for the game. Sure Tech plays good D but missing plenty of open ones
  12. It'll be interesting to hear Beard's response to this one. Never understood how he could possibly promise "not student gets turned away"
  13. Measuring on Google maps, looks like you'd have a space about 600 ft long (North-South) and 400-450ft wide. So yeah you should be able to fit 1 indoor plus 2 outdoor fields.
  14. My prediction is they put the indoor facility on the social work site and leave the outdoor fields where they are. Which is not ideal. What they should do is move Jamail east of 35 with the other athletic stuff. And leave the rec alone. Cheapest/easiest option that results in things being located in a very logical way.
  15. They could put an indoor facility on top of social work only, but you wouldn't have room for outdoor fields too. Seems dumb to me to have outdoor fields somewhere else. According to this, the chilling station cost $80mm only 6 years ago - https://flintco.com/our-work/projects/ut-chilling-station-7/. So that's probably not moving. As discussed, idk where you could move the Rec. Can't move it farther away and need it somewhere. Politically this is probably tough, but I'd move the Swim Center east of 35. Give them brand new digs next to the Disch, tennis, etc. Cost $11mm https://flintco.com/our-work/projects/ut-lee-and-joe-jamail-texas-swimming-center/
  16. Why is this newspaper thing hitting so many sports accounts like Mandel and RedditCFB?
  17. Hasn't he still been pretty hedged on Cutcliffe? I haven't seen him say anything super confident that it's happening, more just "rumors that there's a chance" type stuff. I may have missed what he said though.
  18. This would be a nice add even without Arch. With that said, can't tell if it's real of just BS rumor-mongering
  19. Yeah I agree. Moving DK to C meant we had a bad C and a bad RT instead of a bad C and a good RT. That was dumb. I’d rather have Devon as a stud Guard and Jones as an average RT instead of Campbell as an average Tackle and someone else as an average G. As long as he’s actually open to G, should work out fine. And pretty sure he was a G in the UA All American game so he must not be too set on T.
  20. Being willing and able to play right or left is the fast track to getting pt early. Not sure thats where he should be, but nothing wrong with trying him out there. You thinking of Banks? I really meant OT vs G for Campbell, not the side
  21. Isn't Campbell one of the smallest OLs of the bunch by height/length? I think size queen means more than weight..
  22. When did Campbell trying RT become a thing? Hope he's not too stuck on that idea
  23. Neyor is gonna be this offseason's Kool-aid flavor of choice, you can already tell. Really hope he has the speed/agility to be a difference maker bc he clearly has size and ball skills.
