  1. Good TE coach, time to take away special teams. Beat by another fake punt, extended a drive with a running into the punter penalty. On field coach limits are gone next year right? Go hire a standalone ST Coordinator
  2. I doubt 6 mil but I would not be surprised at all if Quinn can make more in college next year than NFL. A Day 2 pick earns between 5-10M over 4 years. Assuming Quinn is late 2nd or 3rd, that's only like $1.5m per year and probably not a ton of endorsements either. Meanwhile $3-4mil in college wouldn't shock me. But transferring could risk his future NFL status big time. And on a personal level, probably not too appealing to move to a new school, new teammates, etc just for one year while postponing the NFL dream. Not an easy decision
  3. I'd think it's Dante Moore time there. Maybe Larry Ellison wants a one year stopgap at Mich. Miami, Bama, ND might need QBs but that's a lot of cheds.
  4. 6 mil for one year? That sounds like bs.
  5. Bold strategy Cotton. I mean, which good players in the portal are even still available? Maybe Branch and Squirrel? The ISU DT? I'm usually trust the corches but it feels like they're really gambling with this year's portal approach
  6. Soo..the Brocks fucked?
  7. Nice, I didn't know Williams was that far along already. For some reason thought he had a torn ACL. I assume this means he'll be full-go by summer at least. Based on history I also wouldn't be surprised to see a veteran rotation CB brought in like Holmes or Cole. They seem to like having a solid 4-5 person rotation there and I haven't seen anything to indicate that exists for next year as of now. Right now I guess it's MM, Guilbeau, Black (who's been just OK), and others who haven't played any meaningful snaps. Other than DT, WR if Golden leaves, and maybe S if Taaffe leaves, I don't see much need for big headliner type of guys at any position BUT I would like to see a few depth additions similar to Brad Spence at CB, S, maybe WR and TE.
  8. So with Singleton and most of the other big WRs off the board, who is still available besides Branch? Odd that Dane Key doesn't seem to be in consideration
  9. Love this. Less Oregon competition for other DTs
  10. fwiw, looks like a lot of Clemson players are posting "Thank You Clemson" so I don't think it necessarily means portal. Now, clearly the 9.95ers think they know something with Woods but I don't think that tweet means anything.
  11. Gotta be tough to make portal WR plans without knowing what Golden is going to do. If you can get him to come back, problem solved but also not as much money to go after a big name. If he goes pro, WR is a major need. #playoffproblems
  12. Any idea how the House settlement / revenue sharing is impacting the portal market? I wonder if teams are making offers under the assumption they'll have that money even though it isn't official yet
  13. Damn, Auburn and Tech taking two of the bigger portal targets? Didn't see that coming
  14. Take some of that Singleton money hopefully?
  15. I thought Bolden is out of eligibility
  16. Haven't seen this posted but on Sunday Gerry said Golden is expected to go to the NFL. For some reason I thought I read he was likely staying so that's unfortunate
  17. What are tOSU, Miami, Bama, and ND doing at QB next year? Surprised they aren't being tied to QBs yet (other than Miami maybe with Mateer)
  18. Feels like there are still some big QB dominoes yet to fall in the portal. Big programs like tOSU, Bama, Notre Dame all have very uncertain QB rooms for next year as of right now. Doubt they're all standing pat.
  19. Random portal question - what happened to Jacoby Matthews from ATM? Seemed like he was doing pretty well for them but entered the portal last year and disappeared
  20. Not shocking if he ends up at Ole Miss, but as long as he makes it to town today this CB doesn't mean much
  21. Is this true? Mid/late rounders with eligibility have been coming back as often as usual imo. C Jones, Sweat, Ford, Jwhit, Collins, Barron, Ewers, etc. Which mid/late rounders have left early? Obviously 1st/2nd rounders leave early but that's always the case.
  22. For sure. All schools are doing that. Actually bringing them on campus for a visit seems too obvious and dumb though
  23. I would sure hope we're not hosting guys who aren't in the portal. Seems like literally the only way you could get in trouble for tampering. I doubt they're taking that chance
  24. Spence visit was reported yesterday, not a secret unless CTJ had too many hurricanes and forgot
