  1. SEC rarely calls holding on running plays, but they will sometimes on passing plays. They rarely call late hits.
  2. by giving it to the kicker? Making it a 3 score game is the right move instead of 4th & 6.
  3. On the previous play their TE fell to the 9. They could have given him that spot. You couldn't tell for sure if his knee was down from the TV camera angle before he stretched to the 9. I think it was right at the 10, but if it got called the other way, it might not have been overturned. That 2nd angle on the next play made it look like the spot was right.
  4. He was 23-29 and that included missing those last 2 throws. So he was fine most of the game.
  5. Announcers FOS. The angle that wasn't from the back showed the spot at the 9 1/2 was perfect.
  6. He seemed to be holding it together on the pain.
  7. BS penalty. He didn't hit him. He just lost his balance. Was that Ford again who blocked out defender and then missed the tackle???
  8. They showed him going into the locker room.
  9. Well Ford took out the DB on that play.
  10. He was messing with his eye.
  11. Man, on that 2nd down it looked like Ewers or the RB could have just walked around left end and walked into the end zone. There were no defenders over there. Ewers seems to have happy feet today, throwing before he needs to. Not trying to hit narrow windows.
  12. Do you have a crystal ball????
  13. Well the defender was going for the ball, so they usually let that slide even though the collision was pretty early.
  14. Why do you think he is called 7 win Sark? Low % call. Passing on the FG with 2:33 in the half to make it a 3 score game while trying to make 6 yards with the slowest player on your team was another bonehead call.
  15. Pac is suing 2 former executives. According to Wilner, court documents show that the Pac owes Comcast $72 million from overpayments.
  16. More stupid Wilner shit. Kliavcoff said USC and UCLA had relinquished their board position. That is not an opinion on whether they needed to. It is factual. They quit coming. Later he said the members need to decide how to interpret the bylaws. Again, he wasn't taking an opinion. He was staying neutral. Wilner is reading stuff he wants to in it, just like he has been for the last couple years.

Armchair after the fact perfect knowledge QBs. Sure if you knew you would be stopped at the 28 you run more clock, but you don't plan on that.

Clock management was fine. Give them the ball with 1:17 left and no timeouts is a win. And if they had gotten the first down, they would have wanted the time to try to drive it closer. As it was, it was a long, not very certain FG. You didn't want to force yourself to try a 45 yarder if you could have gotten closer.
  19. Finally somebody's talking to somebody else. Should have happened 2 months ago. But the WSU/OSU lawsuit froze everything.
  20. I agree with you. Just doesn't seem worth the long term risk.

Charlie Strong. He was the worst coach in Texas history and he left the cupboard mostly bare. Absolutely zero depth. We weren't any better in talent than half the Big 12. Before the last 6 years, UT and OU were dead even in the post DKR era.
  22. https://apnews.com/article/ap-top-25-oklahoma-georgia-miami-9b1d078d2d3ee3436b9a8c7269112d59 Basketball isn't that important in realignment, but sometimes the stars align: "...The traditional basketball powerhouses continue to shine on the gridiron in 2022. The top six schools by appearances in the AP men’s college basketball poll are Kentucky, North Carolina, Duke, Kansas, UCLA and Louisville. For the first time in the 87-year history of the AP football poll, all of those schools are ranked at the same time: North Carolina is No. 12, Louisville is 14th, Duke is No. 17, UCLA is 18th, Kansas is No. 23 and Kentucky No. 24...."
  23. Anybody who still takes a Canzano as fact is a dumbass. I don't know if this is the one, but he quotes the Utah president when the Utah president specifically says there was no counteroffer. They just wanted to go to market. One of the many big lies from dumbasses in realignment that keeps getting repeated. Yes, they talked about $50 million, but the Utah president who was supposedly the source said there wasn't a formal counter-offer, the UW president who was on the executive board said he never heard of a counter-offer and the ESPN president said the Pac 12 NEVER made a counter-offer to their final offer. This seems to be a narrative from Kliavcoff's office to try to deflect blame from the hapless Pac 12 executive office. Not that the Pac 12 presidents weren't pretty bad too. But its Kliavcoff's clan trying to preserve their reputation for their next job.

We got a little outcoached, especially the prep at the start. But the difference was that they wanted it more today.

They looked at it. I think he was an inch short, but it was really close.
