  1. At least our penalties were all real this week and not just fantasy.
  2. KU has won 4 games in a season for the first time since 2009. They had won 23 total games since starting 5-0 in 2009. I knew they were bad, but they have finished last in the Big 12 12 of the last 13 years. One year they went 1-8 and ISU went 0-9 so they were 9th.
  3. He hasn't proven he can do better than a 4 loss season anywhere.
  4. Uh. We drove from the 25 to FG range in 25 seconds. That's heart. Plenty of things to complain about, but that isn't one of them.
  5. I didn't have too much trouble with turtling there. But we turtled on every drive in the 2nd half.

    30 and 16

And we were eating their lunch out there.
  7. They wanted it more. Their QB just overpowered our defenders on all those 4th downs, but our RBs couldn't push their defenders. We only had to stop him one of those times and we win the game. I think their receivers only dropped one ball all day. It was like they had superglue all over their uniform. Sorry play calling in the 2nd half never allowed the offense to move. They kept doing the same plays that kept getting 2-3 yards. Plus the defense couldn't get off the field to give the offense any rhythm. But props to the guys for getting that FG with only 25 seconds. Sark loses another close game.
  8. Had the Texas-USC Rose Bowl on LHN last night. Couple times the camera showed the co-offensive coordinators of the Trojans. A REALLY young Lane Kiffin and a REALLY young Steve Sarkasian.
  9. Realistically, the SEC is more equal. They really don't protect anyone. So I wouldn't make that argument.
  10. Buck Rogers was an awful show, but she made it watchable.
  11. I guess UTEP, UTSA, North Texas, SWTSU and Sam Houston are FBS too. That's about all I have to say about them.
  12. Yeah. Aggy isn't hate. Its pity. Poooor aggies. I have Baylor friends. They're pretty embarrassed about the whole thing, so I can't feel bad about Baylor even though they tended to rape us in Waco from 74-94 until Teaff retired. Refs joined in a little bit. Tech-they throw tortillas, wasting good food. You have to hate that. UH-obnoxious cousin with creaky bleachers in their house. SMU is actually the one I hate most. Buying players and getting caught lead to the end of the SWC and hurt our recruiting for over a decade. And left us with McWilliams and Mackovic. TCU and Rice are basically positive.
  13. I don't think anyone really understands the rule anymore. They keep tweaking it. But they need to clarify it.
  14. It was facemask to facemask, not the crown or side that they are trying to avoid. I don't know why you have such trouble with the word "intentional." Perhaps English is not your primary language. Or you're just being argumentative for the sake of it. Yes, targeting requires that you intend to tackle someone, but it doesn't require any intent to hit them in the head or with your head.
  15. https://www.sportsmediawatch.com/2022/09/penn-state-auburn-ratings-cbs-oklahoma-nebraska-fox-miami-texas-am-espn/ Interesting TV data: "...In a rarity, ABC placed just eighth for its top game of the weekend, Michigan State-Washington on Saturday Night Football — down more than 60% from last year’s previously-mentioned Auburn-Penn State game. ABC also drew a 1.2 and 2.03 million for UConn-Michigan and a 0.8 and 1.39 million for Mississippi-Georgia Tech, also down double-digits. The Mississippi State-Georgia Tech game actually drew a lower rating and fewer viewers than the late night Fresno State-USC game on FOX, which drew a 0.9 and 1.62 million...." Maybe gives Pac 10 some hope the Big 10 isn't interested in making them the Pac 8 by taking UW, but also doesn't look good for their next TV deal.
  16. https://www.secsports.com/article/34632093/sec-releases-2023-football-schedule Right. I originally thought 2022 was unrealistic but 2023 was doable. But its been clear for a while that the 2024 CBS/ESPN changeover in the SEC game of the week is the main target date. 2023 is not happening.
  17. This is hilarious. And it reads like a propaganda piece as well. No lie is to big to tell. Greg Swaim-move over-Canzano is the leader in the clubhouse. "...In the talk, Kliavkoff spoke candidly about his relationships with other commissioners. He believes UCLA will lose money — not make it — by going to the Big Ten....Kliavkoff sounded confident the Pac-12 won’t lose any of the 10 remaining conference members to the Big Ten or Big 12. I mean, he sounded rock-solid certain. It dovetails with what conference athletic directors have said to me over the last couple of months, but I was still a little surprised at the level of unwavering confidence he expressed...." https://www.johncanzano.com/p/canzano-pac-12-commissioner-breaks
  18. We've played Rice a number of times. TCU continues to play SMU.
  19. You don't think Tulsa would jump on it in a minute if you pushed their series back 4 years and extended it 4 years? Its not hard if they want to do it. Its like doing the CFP expansion in 2024. If they want to do it, its not that hard.
  20. bullshit. Intent has nothing to do with it. If a tackler is aiming for the shoulder and the runner lowers his head just before the tackle and there is forceable 100% unintentional helmet to helmet contact, it is still targeting. They are trying to change the way defenders tackle. And Overshown did a classic perfect tackle. It was not targeting.
  21. My understanding is that it was CUSA refs. If so, there's a much better chance of it being overturned.
  22. Yep. You are too stupid to even understand the discussion.
  23. Yes!!! He flew down the field to get in front of that defender to make sure he didn't catch Bijan's feet.
  24. Bijan is one of the top RBs in the country. He normally gets more than 3.5 yards per carry even without the big runs. They did a good job slowing him down.
