  1. your father sounds like he had the sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. No doubt he was attracted to French prostitutes named Chloe with webbed feet.
  2. Do you make outrageous claims, like you invented the question mark?
  3. I watched it last night. I have no opinion on any nomination shenanigans or subterfuge that may have happened - I don't follow that stuff. In my judgment, it was an Oscar nomination worthy performance. I'd put it above De Armas (haven't seen Fabelmans/Michelle Williams) and well behind Yeoh and Blanchett. I've certainly seen worse performances nominated The film itself was worth a watch, though overall I found it just ok. There were some high highs and the film had the potential to be excellent, but some uneven writing led to some characters devolving into tropes, which undermined the overall quality of the film. my two cents.
  4. My take on who i think should win/will win. Best Pic: EEAOT/EEAOT Best Actor: Colin Farrell/Brenden Fraser Best Actress: Cate Blanchett/Cate Blanchett (I personally think this is the biggest no brainer of all the categories) Supporting Actor: Ke Huy Quan/Ke Huy Quan Supporting Actress: Kerry Condon/Angela Bassett Director: The Daniels/Spielberg
  5. My personal best picture rankings: Everything, Everywhere, All at Once Banshees of Inisherin Tar Women Talking __________________________________________ All Quiet on the Western Front Triangle of Sadness Top Gun Maverick Avatar yet to see: Elvis and Fabelmans I think any of the first four films are worthy winners.
  6. I co-sign all this. Marion had/has maturity/cockiness issues and did a subpar job coaching/running his WR room. I was hoping he'd move on and was very happy to see this news. Good riddance.
  7. energy is building - team is set to walk to the Alamo Dome in 15 minutes.
  8. to be fair, Washington also beat Oregon. The Pac 12 had 7 teams finish above .500 (including Washington). UW didn't play USC or Utah, the top two teams in the conference. The other 4 teams were Oregon, Oregon St, Washington St. and UCLA. UW went 3-1 in those games. UW played 2 cupcake and their "big" nonconference game was home against an underachieving Michigan St team. Texas is definitely the more battle tested team.
  9. I'm curious to see what kind of energy they come out with tomorrow.
  10. agreed. The idea of Carrington as a position coach is hilarious.
  11. just a tid bit since we're talking about freshmen in the secondary, but FWIW, Xavion Brice won the award given to the top weight room performer at the banquet yesterday (Brice and Christian Jones won). Brice lived in the weight room this season. Not sure what his current weight is, but he looks noticeably bigger. That obviously doesn't mean he'll end up being a great player, but he's working hard.
  12. Crawford doing his best BJ Foster impression on that drive.
  13. i had the same thought. TCU subbed, so Baylor is entitled to sub on their terms. Mill around for a few seconds and slow play it and TCU never gets it off.
  14. watching Baylor use misdirection and play action to shred the TCU defense is just rage inducing. What the hell happened last week?
