DS with a goal line stand after Westlake had first and goal from the one. A fumbled snap put Westlake back on the 11 and DS held from there.
6-0 Westlake, 2Q
I can't get over the fact that they used Achane as nothing more as a blocking back on that final play. Fine, sure, if you don't want to use your best offensive player when you need two yards to win the game, then you do you. But you'd have to think the other team is expecting him to get the ball and is keyed on him. Maybe use that to your advantage? Nah. Gotta go with the play to the sideline short of the end zone.
Ash wasn't all that.
edit: just for context, this screen shot is from a 2nd and 5 play, 4:20 left in the 4th quarter, with TCU down 3 points. Duggan runs straight ahead untouched for the TD. Watching that play unfold from the stands - from pre-snap alignment to untouched in the end one - was like a slow motion car crash.

It was a glorified walk through. The main purpose was to get acclimated to game day routines, especially for players new to the program - hotel, bus, taping, dress, stretching, half time, etc.
he's a fraud. He's always been a fraud. It is amazing how many on surly have been taken in but his schtick, but he is a fraud. Now Nebraska gets to find out.
FWIW - I am optimistic on Junior and Roschon (don't think it is broken).
I am pessimistic on Neyor. I do not know anything definitive. Hopefully that report from that poster on IT is true. I am not directly contradicting it, just saying it would be a pleasant surprise if it is true.
Neyor is knee. Evaluating for ACL. I do not know more.
Barron and Collins happened earlier in the week. Barron ankle sprain, Collins knee. Like IT mentioned earlier, Collins aiming to be back early in the season.
stay tuned
This is exactly what they did. Hall is a different kind of cat, and they wanted to see if perhaps the Texas approach worked in a way the Saban approach did not. Sark knew Hall would need to be managed a little differently and was willing to try to meet him, but only to an extent. There was an appreciation that going too far into coddling territory would be harmful to trust and team chemistry and accountability. Hall was handled with a lot of input from the player leadership council because of these fears and wanting to stay in step with the team. As I've alluded to before, Hall did not have a smooth transition and has been emotionally immature in many ways his entire time in Austin. He was already being given more chances than usual and was on very thin ice before this incident.
he's been on thin ice for a while now. It isn't just the misdemeanor. Chip Brown might have had poor timing or have been unnecessarily stirring the pot, but the content of what he reported a few days ago was correct.
