  1. pull over no, it's a cardigan but thanks for noticing. KILLER BOOTS MAN
  2. FWIW Schooler had a deep thigh bruise that cost him all or parts of 3 games.
  3. any guesses who the third string center will be?
  4. Lovo was with Meyer at UF. Meyer took Lovo with him to Ohio St. https://www.thepalmettopanther.com/from-palmetto-panther-to-a-houston-cougar/
  5. This isn't quite right. I'm a CPS attorney and served many years in drug court. The upside to a hair follicle test isn't so much related to levels. The two main benefits of the hair follicle test are 1) it is 99% accurate (the instant read ones they use in the field are way less accurate) and 2) the hair follicle test can detect use within the prior 90 days. This story enrages me. It is so damaging to so many people. She had to randomly generate positives because if she processed thousands of tests with zero positives, it would be a major red flag. Speaking from personal experience, that lab confirmed positive is a silver bullet in court. People lie about their drug use all the time. Field tests are so unreliable that protests of innocence based on the field test can at least be plausible. A lab confirmed positive? Suddenly that person is treated as a liar and their credibility is undermined. It completely changes the tenor of a proceeding. The hair follicle test with mass spectrometry is 99% accurate. Falsifying that is devastating to the wronged sample giver, to the children, to the judicial and child protective systems, to public trust, and to future cases. I'd have given her the full 99 years.
  6. conference championship game is 12/19.
  7. Hawley all but confirms it in an interview with Vulture (not disagreeing with you, just adding this for context): And is there something of note in that Rabbi shares the same last name as Mike Milligan, Bokeem Woodbine’s KC Mafioso from season two? That season is set a couple decades after the events depicted in season four … “There probably is,” Hawley says, adding that “I don’t think that any anyone’s going to be surprised to discover a connection down the line,” especially since Mike “was such an iconoclastic guy who didn’t fit in either the sort of white crime structure he was involved in or the Black community. Where does a guy like that come from? On some level, this story is that story.” https://www.vulture.com/article/fargo-noah-hawley-season-4-repeating-themes-references.html
  8. I loved it overall and found it incredibly captivating and subtle at times. The last episode, while enjoyable on a superficial level, kinda sucked and was a betrayal of the excellent storytelling from episodes 1-6.
  9. CDC was at the game, dressed in all black.
  10. CDC is wearing all black. Let this be a sign.
  11. Agreed. I posted the contract a while back. I don't know why this fantasy about reassignment lingers, but it is prohibited in the contract, and it would be professional malpractice for any lawyer representing a D1 head football coach to not include language prohibiting the reassignment of duties. No need to indulge in such mental gymnastics - just pay the buyout and move on.
  12. and I'm sure he's looking at what Mack Brown has done at UNC and thinks if Mack Brown can do that at a school like UNC, he can do it even better at a school like Texas.
  13. Texas Tribune has the executed version of his original employment contract. I tried but couldn't find a copy of the extension, but the original contract language should still be helpful. https://static.texastribune.org/media/files/6848d600da55db1efc9d299a0d4f9d76/Herman_contract.pdf C. Specific Duties and Responsibilities. In addition to the general duties and responsibilities set out above, the duties and responsibilities assigned to Coach in connection with the Program are set forth below. Coach’s job duties and responsibilities may be reviewed and revised from time to time by the Men’s Athletics Director, provided such duties are reasonable and consistent with duties typical of an intercollegiate head football coach who coaches at an NCAA Division I program. The list of specific duties and responsibilities supplements, and is not exclusive of, other general duties and responsibilities provided for elsewhere in this Agreement. The specific responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
  14. This reminds me of my favorite random Shaka story. I've attended maybe a half dozen soccer games the last few seasons. It feels like every time I go there are basically 50 soccer fans, a bunch of guys on the football team who are dating soccer players, and Shaka with his wife and daughter. Back in 2018 they were playing Texas A&M Corpus Christi in an exhibition game. Shaka and family rolled in a little before halftime. He spent some time chatting up some players that came through to say hello, but as things settled down he locked into the game. Texas was way better and basically kept the entire match on A&M CC's end of the pitch. With maybe 5 or 10 minutes left in the match, A&M CC actually mustered a counter and passed the ball up the sideline. The play happened right in front of where we were sitting (we were roughly the same section, I was several rows behind him), and the A&M CC attacked was egregiously offside, at least 4 or 5 feet, but it wasn't called by the badly out of position assistant referee. It was so egregious I involuntarily yelped, and I'm usually a quiet fan. As the assistant referee passed in front of him, Shaka - using that low barking voice with no eye contact thing coaches do when they work refs without showing them up - said, "you missed that offsides bro". Our protests were almost simultaneous and we looked at each other, both realizing how ridiculous it was to complain about a missed call near the end of a soccer exhibition against a hopelessly over matched team, but nevertheless incredulous at how the call was missed. I know Shaka isn't very popular on this site (for good reason) and it looks like it isn't going to work out for him and Texas basketball, but he really is a good guy. I will always have a soft spot for the guy who was, that night, just an ordinary engaged fan hanging out with his wife and daughter at a soccer exhibition.
  15. Vandy's DL graded as best in the country in Week 4. You can either believe the Vandy DL is that dominant...or the A&M OL is bad enough to make the Vandy DL look like the best DL in the nation. (interesting to see Iowa St graded as 4th, having played TCU)
  16. That's not the situation.
  17. you don't have to worry about QB1 on that front. Yurcich was in Lubbock.
  18. someguy

    Alfred Collins

i thought that at first too, but watch the All-22 angle. Ossai gets held and doesn't interact with the RB at all. It is a weird camera angle that makes it look that way.
  19. I don't know anything not public about why Brock didn't dress. I just remember seeing this tweet before the game.
  20. the tickets I had were for a specific seat and section.
  21. Brockermeyer did not dress on Saturday.
  22. I thought of that and have screen shots. The problem is the TexasSports website specifically says screenshots are not a valid means of entrance. If I can't get it into the wallet, I have to figure out if I want to drive up to the stadium, park (I do have the parking pass), and risk getting turned away. I really, really want to go to the game, but I really, really do not want to go through all that and then have to head home and potentially miss a chunk of the game. I get the need for e-tickets and realize nobody likes the situation we are in and I'm grateful to even have football, but hot damn it sucks to have such a crappy app and website with so little support.
  23. anyone having trouble with the app? My friend is trying to transfer tickets to me, but the app won't link to the TexasSports account. I've tried logging in under both of our accounts and it just won't work. I've followed the mobile headquarters instructions on TexasSports.com. We've worked on this for over an hour now and my rage is building. Thought I'd at least toss it out there and see if anyone else has run into something similar.
  24. One of the professors developed a spit test that they've been using for about a month or so. They can link the test to the student ID. I'm guessing they are using this for the students. It is a great resource to have.
