  1. I assume that the poster you are replying to was responding to the post I left. I have had that poster on ignore since last year around this time so if it wasn’t about something I wrote then I apologize in advance. I do not talk just to talk or send out a reply to two posters just to write something for no reason. I try to articulate my thoughts like I figure most folks would when responding to a post where my opinion differs from theirs. I stray away from posting something like “You’re a moron and wrong.” when responding to someone with a different view or thoughts.
  2. Such a cool movie. I try to watch movies like this by attempting to see these movies like I would have when I was a child. Seeing stuff like this reminds me to always keep that childlike love for a movie like this. I left the movie just feeling better and that's a great thing for a movie to be able to do.
  3. Considering that the only things that Angelenos usually will show up en masse for are a Lakers or Dodgers game, yes that is pretty cool.
  4. She is really good at getting her message across and she also uses social media to effectively communicate with people. The rare politician that is actually there trying to make a positive difference.
  5. It’s a recounting of a firefight from a first-person perspective. There is no plot development other than showing the harsh realities of war and the effect it had/has on those that were fighting. Very good movie.
  6. I saw this last night. It was direct and to the point. I appreciate a film that depicts what actually transpired without any character development. It showed the hell that being in a firefight is. War is not fun and this film definitely drives home the message of not glorifying war. For someone such as myself who never donned the uniform it gives me insight into what it was like for those that did. Those men have all of my respect for what they do as well as women who are frontline combatants in the service of our country. I would recommend seeing it if you are okay without all the character and plot development we have come to expect from war movies.
  7. I think Denver wins this series. This is still the Clips and they still employ Not Big Game James. Counting on him to deliver in clutch moments is humorous.
  8. I concede that my thoughts are only my own personal opinion. You could also be right and that’s fine. I do not believe though that every great athlete that thoroughly excels at the sport also loves the game. We as fans use this quite a lot. Being a professional athlete is a profession. It’s a highly paid one, but a profession nonetheless. Nick Kyrgios is one example, perhaps an extreme one, of someone who has a rare skill set, but does not totally love the sport he has excelled at. If I were to look at people who excel as accountants for example I am going to put forth that the best of those in that profession do not all love what they do. They are well compensated and money is more important than love of the work for many I would posit. I won’t go much further than that at the moment because it’s a longer discussion about human beings and how we all operate. I think if someone in Serbia told him tomorrow that he could earn as much racing horses as his next extension will pay him (212 over 3 years I believe) he would exit stage right and head home to hangout with his family, friends and horses. The NBA makes that lifestyle possible though back home. I do think he enjoys playing basketball and I enjoy watching him. It’ll be more fun when he is wearing a Purple and Gold uniform as part of a two man game with Luka. 😊 /ducks and runs from the grenades @Chewbacca will be throwing my way.
  9. Great so what vaccine did I get as a kid that gave me autism?!?! These people are just the dumbest and most vile group of morons to ever have these jobs. By the time they are done people will believe autism came from monkeys in African rain forests.
  10. So it's a Danish study saying there is no link. In the Trump White House that is an act of war against 'Merica and means they can now go take Greenland.
  11. Yeah this is normal now. Last time he showed up Rogan announced him and he walked in to a video montage.
  12. He is one of one. There is not a comparable player for him past or present. He may not love the game, but he is amazing when he’s on the court. Add in that he’s a good guy and it’s hard not to enjoy him.
  13. When that day inevitably comes I will enjoy him joining the Lakers, but I’ll understand you wanting several nukes dropped on LA.
  14. Yes you’ve caught me. I never met him, asked him what it was like up to that point of being a freshman representative in Congress or what was his biggest adjustment to the job. I must’ve met the old wrestler instead. Find something better to do with your time before the fascists in charge decide they want to take away your business for not being part of their cult.
  15. Stop making unnecessary posts when you know why a post says something like that. It’s as pointless as what the grammar nazis do.
  16. Autocorrect is fun. You should know this by now.
  17. I just got back from a 4DX showing. That movie was GREAT to watch. Loved the back and forth with Jack Black and Momoa. If you are able to and have one nearby, go to Regal and watch it in that format. Just remember to sit your drink on the floor or it might make a mess with all the moving and shaking going on with the seat. 4DX is going to be the best way to see Minecraft, by far. I am going to try to go back next week. It is a movie that just makes you feel good and it was really well done.
  18. Apparently so. I would imagine it gets rescinded. The official who ejected him for that should probably go ref some rec league ball. You should never get ejected when it is a fan who starts these interactions.
  19. The Thunder, talented as they are and with having the likely MVP, do not really worry me if the Lakers can advance three rounds. Very tall task to make it that far for the Purple and Gold, but watching the Thunder they just give off a 2007 Mavs vibe. Holmgren has such a high skill level yet is Charmin soft at times.
  20. I met Goldman once when he came into the restaurant I used to work at in Manhattan. I think I was the only person there who recognized him. He was very nice and answered a couple of questions I had for him. We need more reps like him, Swalwell, Crockett and AOC.
  21. I mean of all the out of left field firings this one is now the cake winner.
  22. No this clown played basketball at Texas way back before anyone cared that Texas even fielded a basketball team. He’s somewhere in his 70’s now and still hangs around the basketball program. Probably wouldn’t be too hard to find out who he is for someone good at that kind of stuff.
  23. Here is the difference. Our conversation was centered on friends of his that live in a Scandinavian country. They were explaining why socialized health care was easier to implement after World War II. It was the government telling their citizens we can help you. Most everything was in disarray so they accepted what the government asked of them. Collectively their way of thinking became to trust the government to make good decisions on behalf of the population. That, to me, is an example of how society can function when people all share in each other’s collective well-being. Here you can’t tell an entire population what would be best for them because you say socialism and you hear the Nazi comparison come out from 80 million people. That leads to the less educated/F you pay me types that will vote for an orange clown instead of making the choice that would help more of the population. That’s ’Merica at its most selfish. We’re kinda stuck right there. If there is one thing I have learned in my travels across this country in the places I have lived it is that we just refuse to agree on a society that benefits all of us. The inherent selfishness that permeates America is antithetical to how a modern society needs to be able to get along on basic things.
  24. A Working Man with Jason Statham. Enjoyed it and nothing felt like they were trying too hard or that the movie plot did not fit together. It was pretty good action and the storyline was easy to follow.
